Errr, can we get a “too soon?” Just a few short months after Whitney Houston’s untimely death, the diva’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has just inked a deal with Lifetime television to star in a new reality series, The Houston Family Chronicles. According to TMZ, the show will also feature Whitney’s sister-in-law/manager Pat Houston, Pat’s daughter Rayah, Whitney’s brother Gary, and their mother Cissy. It’s rumored that Whitney’s famous cousin Dionne Warwick will also be making an appearance.
“In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow,” said Lifetime EVP Rob Sharenow in a statement. The ten hour-long episodes will follow Pat and Gary “as they take on their greatest challenge, supporting and guiding Bobbi Kristina as she faces the world alone, without the one person she relied on the most, her mother.” We can’t help but feel like it sounds like an exploitative cash-in to us. Or at least some long forgotten episode of Masterpiece Theater. No word on when The Houston Family Chronicles is set to premiere, but do you think you’ll be tuning in? Being Bobby Brown, what hath you wrought? According to RadarOnline, Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has reached a verbal agreement to star in a reality show, a choice that, if true, seems like a truly questionable decision for a lot of reasons. For example, in addition to unexpectedly losing her mother just a few short months ago, Bobbi is also allegedly embroiled in romantic relationship with her “adopted” sibling Nick Gordon as well as allegedly dealing with continued drug and alcohol abuse that has her extended family “worried sick.” All of which would make for great TV…if it was written for a fictional show. That would probably have to be aired on HBO. As if that wasn’t enough to think about, you know dad Bobby Brown is going to want in on this after starring in his own reality show in 2005, and he is less than a month out from a DUI! There are so many factors to seriously consider, girl!
“This show is being done against her family’s advice,” RadarOnline’s source claims. We’re going to go on record as giving this idea one gently raised eyebrow of disapproval. Of course we want Bobbi to be happy, but displaying her life for public scrutiny seems like it could only end in heartache. Can’t we start with a starring role in a Whitney Houston biopic and/or that Tyler Perry sitcom, and go from there?

Somebody book Westminster Abbey, because there’s about to be a wedding for reality TV royalty! Jack Osbourne is perhaps best known and loved for playing the precocious and drug-fueled teen Jack Osbourne on MTV’s smash The Osbournes in the early 2000s. But now everyone’s favorite dysfunctional brother is all grown up and about be a husband! Time flies…The 25-year old has popped the question to model Lisa Stelly, his girlfriend of a whopping four months. Well, if it feels right, go with it! The happy lady tweeted about the engagement yesterday, saying “The most amazing man I’ve ever met asked me to marry him… and he wasn’t joking! Crazy, right :).”
Despite his rambunctious past, including a trip to rehab for alcohol problems in 2003, Jack has been cited as a good and calming force in Lisa’s life. “[He's] a great influence on her,” her friend told Us Weekly. “It’s just no drama. More stable.” Since getting clean, Jack has taken an active role in film making, including directing his father’s Ozzy Osbourne’s 2010 music video for “Life Won’t Wait,” and also a documentary on his dad called God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. Congrats to the newlyweds, and we wish them a wonderful wedding! But a word of advice? Don’t ask Ozzy to give a speech.

Let’s try this again. T.I. is a free man once more after being released from prison yesterday. No, you’re not having deja vu; the rap star was initially sprung from the slammer on August 31st, but he only spent a day in his Atlanta-area halfway house before being ordered back into federal custody due to a “transport dispute.” Although the true reason is hotly debated by both sides, the official explanation from the Feds is that they weren’t down with T.I.’s luxury bus, as well as the unauthorized peeps on board. Apparently Tip can’t have whatever he likes. His wife “Tiny” Cottle calls BS, saying that the prison officials were fully aware of the pimped out ride, and even posed for pictures with it!
There were also rumors that the rapper conducted business aboard the bus with a camera crew for his upcoming VH1 reality series, but those reports have been fiercely denied by T.I. and his team. “T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta,” his lawyer Steve Sadow told TMZ. But now the issue has been resolved and T.I. has returned to the Dismas Charities halfway house, where he is to remain until September 29th. And not to worry, T.I. fans: the first pix released of him show that the King still has his swag.

After only one day of freedom following his ten month prison term, rapper T.I. has been sent back to federal custody once again last night. His lawyer denies that T.I. violated any terms of his probation, but instead claims that there was an issue with his method of transport from the Arkansas prison to the halfway house in Atlanta. Apparently TIP celebrated his semi freedom by renting a baller luxury bus, which—let’s face it—is exactly what we’d want to do if we were just released from prison. But apparently the Federal Bureau of Prisons is also the Federal Bureau of Buzzkill, and are very not cool with his deluxe vehicle. Steezin’ is not a crime!
His lawyer Steve Sadow tells TMZ that “We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with TI’s method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence.” T.I.’s uncle says that there were no drugs or alcohol of any kind on the bus, and he showed up to the halfway house in great shape. “He stopped drinking a long time ago,” the uncle added.
There’s also trouble brewing for VH1′s proposed reality series about T.I.’s return to free living. Apparently the halfway house flatly refuses to allow taping on its premises. A representative for Dismas Charities, where T.I. is set to serve out the remaining one month of his sentence, tells TMZ that there is “absolutely no way” VH1 is allowed to film. “It’s just not going to happen.” Damn, that’s a lot of drama for episode one!

He’s only been out of prison a day, and already T.I. is involved in a shooting…for his new reality series, that is! *zing* The rapper has begun filming a new show that will chronicle life after his ten month prison sentence. In fact, the cameras apparently started rolling mere minutes after his release. The series will air on our very own VH1, which says the show will follow T.I. as he “re-adjusts to life as a free man.” The series has yet to be given a title, but it’s going to be choc full of intimate moments, including his emotional reunion with his wife and kids. It sounds like a real heart-stopper, nail-biter, tear-jerker, and other bodily functions we haven’t even considered! “Can the King stay on the straight and narrow while juggling the chaos of his kingdom?” asks the press release? Drama.com! The show is scheduled to premiere on December 5th. Will you be tuning in?
