Stephen King Name Checks Lindsay Lohan For Carrie Remake

Please, please, please tell us that Stephen King‘s suggestion of Lindsay Lohan Carrie remake was not merely a spooky witticism. It’s the best career move for Lindsay we’ve heard in literally years. “I’ve heard rumblings about a Carrie remake, as I have about The Stand and It. Who knows if it will happen?” Carrie author King informed Entertainment Weekly. “Piper Laurie really got her teeth into the bad-mom thing. Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White… hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast. I guess I could get behind it if they turned the project over to one of the Davids: Lynch or Cronenberg.” No, seriously: we will collect and drop-off the pig’s blood ourselves if King can help make this happen.

Sure, you might be saying, Lindsay isn’t in high school anymore. Let’s be honest though: can you name any good movie she’s been in since she rocked a locker combo in Mean Girls? Take all the time you need. Between all them Lindsay Lohan bikini photos and her weave-tastic turn in the upcoming Gotti biopic with John Travolta, it’s easy to forget how excellent Lilo can be as a high school outcast. And one with supernatural telekinetic powers? Girl, time to get those dirty pillows out!
