The LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala Honoring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick presented by Gucci turned out to be a pretty well-attended, fashion-savvy event this weekend. Teeming with A-listers, since Gucci was headlined, most of the ladies wore the brand. We do have Robert Pattinson in our gallery as well, because he’s Robert Pattinson, and he looked devastating in his sharp Gucci suit. Also wearing Gucci was Amy Adams, who glided in a yellow Spring 2013 strapless column with a train and Amber Valletta who was dramatic in a deep green, ruffled, halter-necked gown. Florence Welch (who also performed at the event) looked stunning wearing deep purple Gucci with a gold Grecian headband that worked like a dream with her red hair and pale skin. Bella Heathcote wore a white frock with paillettes and an embellished neckline, which was similar to Amber Heard‘s only the latter’s was in black and gold. There was even more Gucci thanks to Minka Kelly‘s stark black number, Evan Rachel Wood‘s sexy gold dress and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s leggy, backless emerald gown. Ginnifer Goodwin wore a risque dress from the Fall 2012 collection that featured a bold feathered green skirt and black, sheer panelled blouson. Cameron Diaz‘s body was to die for in a bright yellow mini-dress, while her gal pal Jennifer Aniston brought the va-va-voom in a plunging gown by Tom Ford. Breaking out of the brand was another Jennifer, Jennifer Morrison, who chose a slashed black Reem Acra jumpsuit. Some of the looks worked — Evan, Amy, Amber and then some — and some, we’re not quite sure of, like Cameron and Jennifer M’s. But at least this was a red carpet that had interesting, envelope pushing looks. Check out our gallery to see all the rest.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon hit theaters today, so before you escape the heat and check it out this Fourth of July weekend, let’s prepare by getting patriotic and praising two displays of real American beauty: the ancient struggle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Well, she’s British, but Victoria’s Secret is 100% American. In Michael Bay‘s third film of the Transformers franchise, Rosie H-W will replace Megan Fox and her outrageous Hitler comments in the role of leading lady. Along side the seasoned Shia LaBeouf, Rosie will make her acting debut as she helps the Autobots discover the secrets of a hidden spacecraft on the moon—and make the moon look prettier?
Go see Transformers 3 this weekend and decide for yourself on Rosie’s acting capabilities. In the meantime, she’s certainly been looking the part of resilient seductress in promotion for the film’s release. Check out her top 25 hottest looks—she has us convinced she could take over the moon in that white pantsuit.
Trailer after the jump. Read more…
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s Gucci gown has us split down the middle. She wore the mustard and black gown at the premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon during the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival at the Pushkinskiy Theatre in Moscow yesterday. Here’s why we’re undecided, though. She’s a supermodel, which means she has legs for days and can make anything look good, right? That’s her job. And to her credit, nobody can work mustard like Rosie can. What we’re taking umbrage at is the sheer paneling on the skirt of the gown. What’s up with that? It’s like she’s wore a pair of hot-pants and decided to throw netting over it. Michael Bay‘s standing next to her and thinking, Score, LEGS! Never a good thing. But, as always, we’re leaving the decision making to you. Help us out, folks. Do we like it or not?

Whether she thought director Michael Bay was “verbally abusive” or the studio thought she was “too skinny,” Megan Fox‘s reasons for leaving Transformers 3 clearly had nothing to do with her acting ability. Why else would we be hearing that she’ll be replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a model with no previous acting experience? As we revealed in our list of potential Transformers 3 hotties, it wasn’t like they were out of the options.
But before you weep for the talented young actresses skipped over for the high-profile role, remember that Megan’s biggest moment in Revenge Of The Fallen was either when she straddled a motorcycle while talking about “internet dating” or when that little Decepticon humped her leg. And who knows? Maybe Rosie will do a great job helping Shia LaBeouf bring the “heart” back to the franchise. Check out the gallery and imagine how smoking she’ll look all tussled and grimy under Bay’s boiling lights.
