Earlier tonight, Us Weekly delivered a bombshell that has sent shock waves through the tight-knit Twilightcommunity. On the cover of its latest issue, which hits newsstands on Friday, the magazine alleges that Kristen Stewart cheated on her longtime romantic companion, Robert Pattinson, with her (very married) Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The magazine apparently has photographic evidence of the “marathon makeout session” that took place between the 22-year-old Stewart and the 41-year-old Sanders on July 17 (just five short days after KStew and RPattz made all sorts of cute faces at each other at the Breaking Dawn, Part 2 press conference at Comic-Con).
If Kristen and Rob had any idea this news was going to break, they certainly did not show it when they appeared together at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night. Of course, there’s a very real possibility that these pictures have somehow been taken out of context by Us, but either way, we are feeling more than a little devastated tonight. Neither KStew nor RPattz has issued any official statement as yet (nor has Rupert Sanders), but we will definitely keep you posted if (when?) they do. However, a source told People that “Kristen is absolutely devastated. It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment. She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened.” Uh-oh, that does not bode well. Either way…
Firstly, we’re bowing down to the bodaciousness that is Kristen Stewart in this two-piece Balmain Fall 2012 collection dress. She wore it to the Snow White And The Huntsman premiere at Bondi Junction in Sydney earlier today. Balmain has really turned into the go-to couture house for her. We can’t even count how many times she’s worn the brand over the years, normally favoring their edgy mini-dresses. The forest green of the body and the pearl detail looks awesome against her skin tone and she can really pull of a midi length. Top marks for the crystal Christian Louboutins as well. We’re really digging the messy top-knot and dark pink lips too. Basically — we love all of it. We wish we could pull something as unforgiving as this off, but it is impossible unless you have a body as rad as K.Stew’s.
Secondly, how adorable is she? She had a case of rubber-face at the premiere. Or a case of the seven dwarfs minus Grumpy, Sneezy and Doc. Seriously, guys — she was at once happy, playful, bashful, sexy, silly and embarrassed, giving the cameras tons to click. We don’t want to keep you away from the gallery a second longer, so get to it, and see all the amaze-adorbs for yourself!
“The stuff that Charlize does in this film as the queen, she’s intimidating to meet in person, let alone when she’s there as the evil queen,” he said. “My first day was with her, and I felt pretty rattled trying to stand eye to eye with her. Originally it was supposed to be my first couple of weeks were pretty minimal. But then they called me the day before we started shooting and they were like, ‘Now tomorrow, we’ve changed the schedule and you’re going to be with Charlize in that big scene with the two of you.’ And I hadn’t even met her or rehearsed, and I didn’t even know the scene properly.”
Much to his relief, Theron is more seasoned pro than evil queen, however. “She’s just so good that whatever she’s trying to do to you, your character, you’re feeling it,” Hemsworth said. “You’re sucked into the moment. She’s a hell of a lot of fun.”
Hemsworth seemed to have a lot of fun with Kristen Stewart, too, as evidenced by his retelling of the story of her punching him in a scene — watch it all above. Then check out a video below to revisit all the great conversations Kate had with the SWATH stars. Read more…
Even if you’ve been watching all the nonstop coverage of Snow White and the Huntsman, you’d be forgiven for still wondering about that handsome Brit who keeps appearing alongside Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. Your new fairytale prince is Sam Claflin, a 25-year-old U.K. native who’s fairly new to the big screen, but will definitely be making a reappearance. Prior to his role as William in Snow White, Sam’s first big movie break came when he was cast as Phillip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Across the pond, Sam has already made quite a name for himself after appearing on two award-winning British TV series, The Pillars of the Earth and Any Human Heart in 2010.
Sam’s now the new boy on the Hollywood block and definitely catching everyone’s eye. We can’t help but fall in love with him. Sam is a gentleman, charming, sweet, a terrific actor, and well … pretty darn beautiful. We’ll have to keep our admiration from a distance, though, as Sammy’s taken. He’s engaged to English actress Laura Haddock whom he brought to the London premiere of Snow White. Check out the video above, in which Sam so eloquently describes to our own Kate Spencer what beauty is to him, working in a loving reference to Laura.
If you’re not convinced just how charming he is, browse through this painstakingly created Sam Claflin gallery (it was a tough job, but someone had to do it!).
It looks like Cosmopolis has earned the Kristen Stewartseal of approval. The actress got a chance to weigh in on boyfriend Robert Pattinson’s latest film yesterday at MTV News’ Sneak Peek Week Q&A for her own upcoming movie, Snow White and the Huntsman. KStew caught the film while attending the Cannes film festival, and needless to say she’s pretty stoked about her Twilight love’s work.”He’s so good in it!” she squeed. “He’s really, really [good]. I don’t even know how he [did it]. I couldn’t even understand it. It’s so good, it’s so cool, I’m so proud of him.” Her gushing enthusiasm is more than enough to melt any Twi-hard’s heart, and sent the crowd into a giant “awww” that could probably be heard in the next county.
But the interview wasn’t all about the RPattz. Kristen was on a mission to bring her Snow White and the Huntsman gospel to the people, and she and co-star Sam Claflin definitely delivered the goods with this brand-new clip. Hopefully it’ll tide you over until Friday…
The Snow White And The Huntsman trailers already had the 13-year-old Goth inside of us doodling dragons and ogres in her science notebook. Interview Magazine‘s dark and dreamy take on the film’s stars Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron just put more of an adult edge to the gothic fairy tale. If we hadn’t been on board with the burgundy lips and dark couture, they got us with the whole “1920s androgynous lounging tuxedo” look later on. Click past the jump if you want to see what we’re talking about, but please swallow any fluids you might have in your mouth first. You will involuntarily gasp with perfection.
In addition to looking fierce, it seems like KStew and Charlize are also fiercely loyal toward each other. “She is unlike anyone I’ve ever encountered. She is one of those people who walks into a room and everyone knows it,” Kristen tells the magazine about Theron, adding, “Charlize and I do kind of have similar approaches. We only had a few days together, but we both are absolutely willing to hurt ourselves to do what it takes to get the right feeling, and not all actors are like that. Most actors like to be really comfy.” Praised Charlize, “I’ve been very lucky to work with some great women who know how to hit the ball back really hard. Even the younger girls, like Kristen Stewart, I never look at them that way. I love having women like that in my life.” Meanwhile, we love having these women in our lives. And when when you throw some fishnet veils and smoking jackets into the mix? Perfection.
Snow White and the Huntsman is unique in that it’s an action movie with two women at the helm – the always fierce Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart. The guys in the movie, Chris Hemsworth andSam Claflin, play important but supporting roles. We chatted with Kristen about the “girl powerness” of it all, and asked her if that influenced her decision to sign on as Snow White. “I am really excited about that,” she tells us. “It’s so on trend right now to have that girl power thing. It’s great when it’s done in a way that’s actually feminine.”
“I read so many scripts now,” she added, “where it seems like they’ve literally taken a male character and renamed it with a girl.” As for Snow White, Stewart was drawn to her “very steady, very set staying power.” Considering the positive buzz Kristen garnered in Cannes last week for her work in On The Road, we think the same could be said about her!
Beauty is a recurring theme through out Snow White and the Huntsman — both with the Queen’s obsession with her youthful looks and Snow White’s benevolent heart. Not to mention, the cast is really easy on the eyes. (I like my Hemsworth with a side of Hemsworth and a little bit of Hemsworth on top … you know what I mean?) I asked Kristen Stewart about her thoughts on what makes people truly beautiful, and she offered up a thoughtful answer about how genuine beauty shines through one’s physical attributes, regardless of what they are. “I meet people all the time that I think are so gorgeous,” she says. “And then it’s like ‘Oh my God, you’re wearing a costume.’ ”
My personal favorite part of the interview is the adorable hand over heart gesture she does at the end. What would a Kristen Stewart interview be without her busting out a goofy/sincere/precious move like that? Awwww.
Just what makes Kristen Stewart the perfect Snow White? Director Rupert Sanders‘ answers may surprise you. Though the fairytale is all about beauty (and his leading lady is admittedly very stunning) he was moved by what he found inside the actress. “She’s very vital,” he told me at the film’s press junket in the UK last week. “She’s very on the edge and very rebellious, which I like. She doesn’t play by anyone’s rules. She’s just got all those things that make a very modern and intoxicating Show White.”
Rupert said he didn’t want this film to be about “damsel in distress waiting for her prince,” but rather a “leader” who inspires her people to follow her into battle for the greater good. He found his heroine in Kristen. “When I first met her with the producers,” said Rupert, “we all saw something really raw and primal in this girl, and we really liked that.”
We know your oh-so-happy-trail is standing on end right now at the prospect of hearing the Snow White and the Hunstman cast reading you Fifty Shades of Greylike some kind of book-on-tape orgy. Hope you’re into nervous giggling and references to corn! “I’m kind of dying to read it. I shall read this,” Kristen Stewart laughs as she flips through the recent erotica sensation on MTV Afterhours, along with Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin and Charlize Theron. “‘Oh, the possibilities’…I can’t believe I’m reading this.” Cracks KStew, “I see people reading this on airplanes and I’m like, “Ew, take that blanket off your lap, you freak.’ I need to read this. That’s intense, man.” You guys, she could be talking about you on that airplane! You could be that freak! And you probably are!
On a slightly less exciting note, there is no way Kristen has read your Twilight fan fiction; she’s never taken the time to really delve into it. “No, I haven’t. I am interested, I guess.,” Stewart laughs. “I just haven not Googled that one yet.” Don’t worry! If we know the Internet like we think we do, people will still be writing sexy Twilight fan fic after the sun burns out. Oh, and did we mention Charlize tries to yank off host Josh Horowitz‘s shoes in a fit of literary-inspired lust? This cast know hows to give people what they want! “People” being a “bunch of perverts,” of course.
