There’s a party going on right here at the Beverly Hilton. The Golden Globes truly are a celebration to last through out the year. (Check out our favorite moments from the show!) Dare we say that it might even be the most fun night in Hollywood… EVER. Everyone — press, crew, celebs — is in good spirits, the booze is plentiful, and the emphasis is on having a good time. And everything is so pretty! The Beverly Hilton is a beautiful and iconic spot any day of the week, but there’s something extra magical about tonight’s event. The red carpet actually felt like a living, breathing thing and it. Is. FIERCE.
But the best part of the night was, of course, hearing from the winners, in all their sweet, excited glory. We were stationed in the press room and had the privilege of listening to all their best moments — from the absolutely ridiculous to the downright cry-worthy. We count ‘em down for you below.
Octavia Spencer kicking her shoes off in the middle of answering questions, and then delivering this important message: “Christian Louboutin, I love you, but when you have this much weigh you gotta give us a little platform.”
George Clooney answering the “Where is Ryan Gosling?” question: “He’s [working] in Thailand. And you know what they do in Thailand.“
Matt LeBlanc having a “Joey” moment onstage, answering a reporter’s question with “How you doin’?”
So, there you have it. A very fashionable 30. What we need you to do, now, is click after the jump and check out our massive gallery and vote in the poll we’ve got below it. We’ve even got 3-in-1 pictures so you have more outfits to look at! Vote, vote, vote! Read more…
It’s that time of year again when we reflect on everything we’ve accomplished, as well as the things we probably could have done better (like eating a few less slices of pumpkin pie) and make heartfelt resolutions for the new year. After all of the indulgences of the holiday season, we normally include the plan to live a healthier lifestyle at the very top of our list. If you need motivation to get fit in 2012, look no further than our collection of the 100 hottest bikini photos of 2011. It’s sure to inspire you to finally use that gym membership!
We’ve ranked the top 10 hottest bikini clad ladies, and included another 90 wildly sexy bikini shots, in no particular order. Enjoy!
The 2011 Latin Grammys were held at the Mandalay Bar Resort and Casino in Las Vegas last night. And it seems that sequins and metallics were the order of the night. Zoe Saldana wore an emerald green column by Elie Saab (à la Gwyneth Paltrow at the Bambi awards, but minus the cleavage). Shakira — who was honored as the Person of the Year — looked ethereal in a gold embroidered gown with a jewel-encrusted bodice, while Sofia Vergara wore a silver strapless gown by Reem Acra. Paulina Rubio wore two outfits and both were heavy on the hardware. She wore a metallic silver gown on the green carpet, and put on a violet (with gold highlights) short, skintight romper to perform in.
The only one who didn’t get the memo was Demi Lovato, but she outshone everyone regardless in a plum gown that plunged down to her navel. It nearly popped our eyeballs. Muy caliente! Also, the color Demi wore matched Wilmer Valderrama’s shirt. Cue eyebrow raising. Our gallery below has all the action, including gentlemen like Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Usher and Taboo.
Sofia Vergara is totally working it in Vanity Fair‘s October issue. The profile on her is short and succinct, but what speaks louder than any words is her photo shoot, which this lush black-and-white is part of. The other shots include the Modern Family actress stretched out on a couch and wrapped in mink (and nothing else), or smiling in leopard print lingerie. It would be a bit too much if it wasn’t photographed so darn classily. Because it is! Her make-up, hair and that SMILE are just right so even when we see her just about fitting into a blush-colored corset, you sigh and think ‘gorgeous’ as opposed to ‘trampy’! Look at the shots here and let us know if you agree with us?
Well it looks like someone in Hollywood felt the world is ready for The Smurfs in 3D, which had it’s premiere this weekend in Los Angeles. While we’re not quite sure how to feel about this, one thing is clear: Katy Perry looked Smurfin’ Smurftastic as she strutted down the red (er, blue) carpet. The California gurl played cartoon heart-throb Smurfette, the only female Smurf in the Smurf Village and envy of every Smurf in the land. We’re not sure if Katy dyed her hair blonde to get even closer to her cartoon alter ego (which she displayed proudly on her dress), but we’re diggin the new ‘do.
What do you think? Let us know! And while you’re at it, check out more pics of Neil Patrick Harris, Sofia Vergara and more Smurf stars in the gallery below!
Oh lord, you guys, are we getting this soft in our old age? Are we crazy to think that The Smurfs trailer actually makes the movie look…sort of cute? We know! It doesn’t add up: Katy Perry‘s vocal talents, Blue Man jokes and the use of Tone-Loc‘s “Wild Thing” in the trailer for a children’s movie should be enough to make us smurf our pants with disgust. That being said, look at their little mushroom village! Look at Sofia Vergara! Look at Neil Patrick Harris with a suit jacket filled with squirming blue creatures! We feel like we’ve been taking wizard-prescribed crazy pills, because we cannot deny how charm. Either that, or we were just so horrified by all the Chipmunks films that any other CGI-version of our beloved childhood cartoons looks better in comparison. Just the fact we didn’t see a Beyonce song makes us want to give them a Best Picture Oscar! There…there’s probably a Beyonce musical number, isn’t there?
For the split second after we heard Sofia Vergara’s Three Stooges casting news, we secretly hoped she’d be playing Moe. In your face, gender expectations! While that miracle of movie making has not come to pass, The Hollywood Reporter claims Vergara is in talks to join the Stooges as a “devious woman who pretends to be the wife of a dying man and tells the Stooges she’ll pay them a handsome sum if they kill the man in his sleep.” Sounds like just the kind of woman who could frantically run in a circle on the ground shouting “Woo woo woo!” but still look fierce doing it.
If she signs on, Vergara would be joining Sean Hayes as Larry and Will Sasso as Curly; the film is still searching for their third stooge, though Hank Azaria as Moe has been a front-runner for awhile. As sultry as her character Gloria tends to be on Modern Family, Vergara has always been delightfully goofy, with an excellent sense of comedic timing. Stooges is shaping up so well in fact, we might actually consider seeing it in theaters. If nothing else is out. And we got paid that day. And they switch Vergara to play Moe, because that is what the people want! WHO’S WITH US?
How gorgeous did everyone look at the massive Vanity Fair Oscar party at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood! We had already seen the likes of winners Natalie Portman and Colin Firth at the show, but plenty of other celebrities, who we hadn’t necessarily focussed on, came out to play. And one couple who got adorably frisky together were Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, who held hands and were quite cozy through out. Can we also say Selena rocked it in a gorgeous red Dolce & Gabbana gown? Sure it’s grown up, but Ms Gomez pulled it off admirably especially with the Biebs accessorizing her arm! She also was cutesy with pal Taylor Swift who sparkled (as usual) in a strapless gold beaded Zuhair Murad mini dress.
Gwyneth Paltrow also changed out of her Oscar gown into the Michael Kors number she wore to perform onstage, and posed with buddy Cameron Diaz. The latter’s legs went on for miles in a flirty short-short Carolina Herrera. Other couples included Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel who wore sexy Versace, and Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin who looked great in a red Monique Lhuillier dress.
