If you’re still pissed that Kate Upton didn’t get the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover for the third year in a row, you can calm down (a little) now. Upton might not be one of the three bathing beauties whose booties grace the 50th Anniversary cover, but she still kind of wins. See, Upton got the flip side cover and it might be hotter than the one with Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen…
It just goes to show you that sometimes, having an old dude drool over you in public really pays off. Not most times, of course. Most times it’s just awkward and you have to pretend the next bus stop is yours, but it looks Alabama QB AJ McCarron‘s girlfriend Katherine Webb is the exception to the rule. After ESPN commentator Brent Musburger swooned over the former Miss Alabama’s striking good looks during the BCS Title game, Webb will be posing for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue this February. Ugh, wait until Brent finds out. Now he’ll never stop pointing out pretty women!
Have you seen the angel gracing the cover of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue? Victoria’s Secret Angel, that is! Our prayers have been answered and mega-hottie model Kate Upton has been tapped to appear on the cover of SI‘s prestigious bikini edition. It’s like the Oscars for the only people in the world who are even more attractive than Hollywood A-Listers!
Although she was named Rookie of the Year in last year’s issue, there was some question as to whether Kate would make the front page. Some feared that she was simply too young and hadn’t paid enough dues to receive the honor. But we guess the peeps at SI used their brains (and their eyes!), as Kate victoriously unveiled the new cover last night on the David Letterman Show.
They say that all computer programming is just a bunch of ones and zeros. If that’s so, head to the gallery below for the hottest collection of ones and zeros you’ve ever seen! We’ve got 20 reasons why Kate Upton not only deserved the cover, but the title of Hottest Bikini Babe In History too. Enjoy!

Note to American parents, if you want your children to be competitive with in the world 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model Kate Upton may have a lesson for you. After being the magazine’s Rookie of the Year in 2011, the 19-year-old beat all those gorgeous foreigners to take the cover, which hits newsstands today. In her video profile on SI.com, as she poses seductively in the sand, she tells us in voice-over how she got there: “If I got the cover, I would be so excited. It’s always what I talked about. I grew up in an American family, it always was on the coffee table. And to be that girl on the magazine on the coffee table would be really groundbreaking for me.”
Um, so yeah, America. Leave copies of magazines featuring scantily clad ladies around the house, and your daughters will grow up to be supermodels who may or may not be dating New York Jets quarterbacks. (Thanks a lot, Mom and Dad, for leaving The New Yorker and National Geographic around our living room. Geez.)
She was named Sports Illustrated’s Rookie of the Year in last year’s esteemed swimsuit issue, and now it looks like mega-hottie Kate Upton may be their MVP. Despite only being 19, the Victoria’s Secret Angel is reportedly leading the race to be this year’s SI swimsuit cover girl! The cover is to be unveiled this Monday on the David Letterman Show, but Kate isn’t spilling the beans just yet. “All I can really say is that I’m in the issue,” she told Page Six Magazine. “Fingers crossed!”
Other contenders for the honor include Chrissy Teigen, who is engaged to John Legend, and Adam Levine’s GF Anne V. “There’s no clear front-runner” an SI insider told Page Six. “There’s a lot of talk about Kate in general…It really comes down to the best picture wins.” Would you like to see Kate grace the cover of the mag? Let us know in the poll!
If this video of Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton doing the Dougie at a Clippers game last weekend had been around at the beginning of our March Celebrity Madness poll last month, she may well have beaten this year’s cover girl Irina Shayk…and given winner Chris Colfer a run for his money. While some might critique the quality of her Dougie in the above clip, it was certainly worth the attempt: she’s a lock to score next year’s SI swimsuit issue cover, unless some other aspiring model finds another dance to go viral with.
The FABLife is playing March Celebrity Madness this month, putting 64 of our favorite stars into brackets and having you vote to decide our ultimate FAB icon. First we’ll be pitting four similar celebs against each other in the divisionals, with the winners pairing (and squaring) off in our Sweet 16 until only one is left standing. It’s just like the NCAA, except…ok, it’s nothing like the NCAA.
The ladies of Sports Illustrated‘s annual swimsuit issue are a happy, hug-ready bunch at promotional events, but only one will get to sweeten up our Sweet 16. Will it be T.O. Show vet Jessica White, Just Go With It‘s Brooklyn Decker, cover girl Irina Shayk or “Rookie Of The Year” Kate Upton?
Don’t forget, you can still vote for your favorite Jersey Shore star, Gleek, Boneworthy Brit, Man Of Action, Pop Queen, Community Cutie, Social Network Stud, Acting Ingenue and Kardashian. The polls don’t close until Friday, March 25th, so vote early and vote often!
