Sinead O’Connor Thanks Followers After Desperate Twitter Plea, Suicide Attempt

Hey, can someone in Sinead O’Connor’s life please get her help that isn’t limited to 140 characters? The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer put out a desperate plea on Twitter last night, asking her followers for advice in her search for mental health services. “[D]oes any1 know a psychiatrist in dublin or wicklow who could urgently see me today please? im really un-well… and in danger,” O’Connor tweeted last night. “[M]e dont wanna leave me kids. or f–k up me work. im sorry worrying any1.. is just am sick and ireland s–t for finding help cant think of any other way.” O’Connor’s tweets come after the singer allegedly admitted to Britain’s The Sun that she had taken an overdose of pills while in L.A. last week. On one hand … oh, dear god. On the other hand, thank you to anyone and everyone who happened to be glued to Sinead O’Connor’s Twitter feed. You done good, guys!

The singer seemed to be in much better spirits after her initial despondent tweets. “[S]o they wus fab help too.. but u all amazing to send numbers and ideas and i love u all so much for that and am feeling much better,” Sinead wrote. When you think about it, if it wasn’t for that whole “Sinead O’Connor’s divorce announced two weeks after Sinead O’Connor’s wedding” debacle, O’Connor might not have collected the followers who pointed her to the help she needed. And at least she didn’t post it to Facebook. There’s nothing less helpful than a “Like.”

George Clooney Contemplated Suicide Following Syriana Set Injury

Did you think finding out the deets about George Clooney’s first orgasm was a little personal? The Ides of March star is just getting started. Joining other candid celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Clooney took a moment in his recent Rolling Stone interview to discuss how he considered suicide after injuring his spine on the set of Syriana. “I was lying in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm, unable to move, having these headaches where it feels like you’re having a stroke, and for a short three-week period, I started to think, ‘I may have to do something drastic about this,'” Clooney revealed. Oh, George! We do you a great disservice when we assume you’re made solely out of martinis and witty banter. We truly do.

Luckily The Descendants star recovered from his injuries, though the lingering effects of the stunt gone wrong contributed to his dropping out of the upcoming The Man From U.N.C.L.E. “You start to think in terms of, you don’t want to leave a mess, so go in the garage, go in the car, start the engine,” Clooney admitted. “It seems like the nicest way to do it, but I never thought I’d get there. See, I was in a place where I was trying to figure out how to survive.” Celebrities: They’re just like us! Even when being “us” involves having some supremely depressing thoughts.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Russell Armstrong Found Dead

Russell Armstrong, husband of RHoBH star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead at his Mulholland Drive home last night. The father of three (five-year-old Kennedy and two sons, 11 and 13) had apparently hanged himself and was discovered by his roommate. He and wife Taylor had filed for divorce last month due to “irreconcilable differences” and rumors of physical abuse.

Fellow Housewives Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump are “distraught” and “speechless.”

Our condolences go out to Russell’s family and friends.
