Can Lindsay Lohan ever have one month without getting into some sort of trouble? Hell to the N.O. This time around, Lilo’s in for a double whammy. Issue no. 1 is with a paparazzo named Grigor Balyan, who is suing the actress for hitting him with her car two years ago. Seriously. It took him that long to take her to court? The incident happened on January 10, 2010, and he claims she drove into him while leaving a club in a hurry. His case is that he had to be treated for orthopedic and neurological injuries and Lindz’s insurance company made him “an an insignificant offer” as compensation.
Issue no. 2 is also a blast from her problematic past. The IRS has come knocking with an astounding $93,701 lien, as their records state she didn’t pay her taxes in 2009. Lindsay claims complete innocence in the matter as she thought her accountants had taken care of her finances, including her taxes. Sources close to Lohan told TMZ, “Lindsay was completely unaware of the problem,” and said the issue is being taken care of immediately. Let’s hope an issue no. 3 doesn’t crop up and interfere with that Elizabeth Taylor movie Lindsay is supposedly in the running for. Because, as far as her recent run goes — what movies?

When will famous people learn? You have to pay your taxes! With that green stuff (not Miley Cyrus-related green stuff) you use to buy yourself all kinds of shiz. Bow Wow is the latest in a long list of tax-evading celebrities. Apparently, the rapper (his real name is Shad Gregory Moss) owes approximately $91,105 in back taxes. The federal government filed a tax lien in Florida last week stating that Bow Wow owed them money from as far back as 2006. There is no way out of this other than paying up. So Mr. Moss better give his accountant a call and start writing those checks.
Look, plenty of people try to hide their earnings from the Feds. Of course, 99% of them don’t have teeth made out diamonds and an internationally successful rap career. According to reports, Lil Wayne’s unpaid taxes currently total over $5 million dollars, or $5,610,034 to be exact. Reportedly Wayne owes $3,335,077.95 dating back to 2008, and $2,258,956.04 for income earned in 2009. It’s not Yeezy’s fault though. It’s probably hard to get to his W-2s when they’re buried under a pile of cash and jewel-encrusted orthodontia.
Wayne, of course, isn’t the only high roller who might have accidentally forgotten to report his earnings for years on end; Val Kilmer and Marc Anthonys’ tax woes and Wesley Snipes’ jail time are just a few examples. What, could the government not break a billion dollar bill? Given that he just got out last fall, we’re guessing that for Lil Wayne, prison time is just not an option. If you’re personally invested in helping Yeezy out of a jam, you could step up and buy his $12.9 million mansion in Miami, currently for sale. You might have to get the smoke steam-cleaned out of the rugs, but you’re guaranteed to find a ruby-studded retainer caught between the couch and the wall in at least one room.
Val Kilmer is joining that illustrious group of celebs who have failed to pay their taxes. Past members include Swizz Beatz, Marc Anthony, and of course, the king of all tax-evading, Wesley Snipes–-who’s currently serving three years in federal prison for tax evasion.
Kilmer reportedly owes $500,000 in taxes and as a result, a lien has been placed on his home in New Mexico. Kilmer’s money troubles make no sense to us, because why else would he have done MacGruber, if not for the money? Where did it all go? We just hope that Kilmer’s situation doesn’t end up like Snipes’. It’s be a shame to send the Iceman to prison.

I.O.U’s aren’t going to work here. Swizz Beatz really should learn from his mistakes, especially now that he’s going to be a daddy with Alicia Keys. He’s being visited by the tax man who would really like him to pay up since he’s about $ 2.2 MILLION in debt.
This isn’t the first time the IRS has come a-knockin on Swizz Beatz‘ door. He was charged with a lien for $652,727 on June 3 for taxes he hadn’t bothered to pay since 2008! What’s even worse is that there’s a whole host of liens filed against the music producer and his ex-wife Mashonda. Forget being in trouble in one state, they owe money in THREE – New York, California and Georgia.
A lawyer for Beatz is obviously trying to do damage control commenting, “We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute.” So wait, explain something to us. Do people think that the IRS are just going to forget if you don’t pay up? They don’t and they will come for you. Just ask Nicholas Cage, Method Man or any of these other celebrities (photos) who owe tax money. Trouble awaits!
