You know it’s going to be a good show when you’re talking and Bradley Cooper suddenly segues into, “Hey, do you remember when you asked me the last time, to take my shirt off?” Because that’s what’s happened with Ellen DeGeneres on her show yesterday and as expected, the audience almost started ripping off their shirts in excitement. Bradley then launches into a speech about how he remembers that she asked him very clearly, even though Ellen looks perplexed about where this is going. “… I don’t know if I should reveal this much about myself, ” he says, to which she asks, “Did you take your shirt off?” He replies in the negative and then shows why. Bradley unbuttoned his shirt to reveal a third nipple. “I’m going to do it, I feel free with you guys,” he said before the secret spilling. It gets even better, though, to the delight of the audience, who are so supportive, sweetly enough. And that’s when things start getting really weird and as Ellen says, “What is this, show and tell right now?” Bradley then proceeds to roll up his shirt sleeve to show off a fourth nipple and then his pants leg for a fifth nipple. And that’s when we knew he was kidding! Watch the video above to see the hilarious segment which runs till a minute and twenty seconds before heading into her Chistmas giveaway segment! Good one, guys. They really had us going for a tiny bit!
The Ellen Degeneres Show
If this isn’t proof that Amanda Seyfried could potentially be the coolest BFF ever, we don’t know what is. Not only can Ms. Amanda wear the hell out of a gown — McQueen, no less — but she looks like the sort of gal who could kick back a couple of tequilas and karaoke the hell out of a microphone. What’s not to love? Oh yeah, this. She may be one of the most gorgeous faces on screen at the moment, but she isn’t afraid to poke fun of herself. For example, she thinks nothing of throwing on a frog mask on national television. How do we know all of this? Not because we’re hanging with Amanda, sadly, but because that’s exactly what she did on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday. Minus the tequila. Or with tequila in her system, who knows. Ellen found out that the whole Les Miserables cast had gone out for a spot of karaoke while they were in Tokyo, Japan on promotional duties. Amanda admitted that she had done her bit on the mic after a couple of rounds of sake, dressed as a frog, natch. And Ellen isn’t anything if not well-prepared, so out came a frogs head costume and some sake. Sake, tequila: booze equals booze. This bascially turned into Amanda rapping California Love by Tupac, dressed in said frogs head. The clip’s above, for your viewing pleasure. It’s the best thing E.V.E.R.
What would we give to have a fraction of Ellen DeGeneres’ power to make celebrities do the silliest things. At the same time, we’d like to think it took little convincing to get Andrew Garfield to agree to dance on command — for charity! — in a segment for today’s show. We haven’t gotten to see the new Spider-Man cut loose too much on screen, but anyone with the Emma Stone seal of approval has to have a good sense of humor about himself. We had no idea he had these hidden dance skills, though. In 45 seconds (well, a little over, since Ellen didn’t change the cards fast enough and let him go past the buzzer), the Amazing Spider-Man star demonstrated the Irish jig, the robot, Gangnam Style, vogue, ballet, the shopping cart, the “Single Ladies,” belly dancing, the Pee-Wee Herman and the can-can. And he managed to get Shutterfly to donate $10,000 to the Worldwide Orphans Foundation in the process. (That’s really why we enjoyed watching it, right?)
We think this photo should be hung up in dance studios across the world … for inspiration as much as instruction.
There’s so much awesome stuff that happened when Miley Cyrus went on the Ellen Degeneres Show. We’re pleased she disregarded those lame rumors about her fiance Liam Hemsworth cheating because this episode was all about wedding stuff. Really honest, sweet wedding stuff like when Miley talks about what she’s looking forward to the most, saying, “That moment when he first gets to see me in my dress and everything all together. It has to be perfect. It has to be like a soundtrack in a movie. That’s the one-day that movie crap is real. That romance. That look is the time that you get that… I’ve been too probably 10, 20 weddings and I’ve seen that real look 5, 6 times. It’s rare that people just stop to really look the person in the eye and know that this is your life together.” See? It’s adorable and we feel so affectionate towards Miley after hearing that. And contrary to reports that she’s having a gazillion ceremonies, Miley clarifies, “There is some rumor going around that I’m having like 47 weddings. I’m not. I’m having one wedding. That’s my day and whatever I want on that day will be about me and that moment.”
Great conversation — and Miley looking like a million bucks aside — the best part of the show came towards the end as a very beefy surprise. Two very beefy surprises, actually. The gag was that a light went bust during the show, right as Ellen Degeneres was asking about bachelorette plans, when “maintenence men” appeared. And before you knew it, they had their shirts off and were giving Miley the time of her life! Watch the hilarious clip above! But don’t watch it work, folks It’s a lot of fun, harmless bumping and grinding but you may not want your boss to see you giggling over your laptop!
While we understand the decision, we were sorely disappointed this morning to learn that the Today show had canceled their tradition of having all their hosts dress up as other famous folks for Halloween. That on top of the fact that New York’s annual Village Halloween Parade has, um, dampened our already soggy spirits. So, thank you, Ellen DeGeneres, for brightening up our day with your Sofia Vergara costume and terrible, terrible Colombian accent.
The exaggerated padding, the funny fake high heels attached to sneakers and the telltale split zipper on the dress — mocking Vergara’s wardrobe malfunction at the Emmys — really made the thing.
In every interview of Emma Watson we’ve ever seen, the 22-year-old Perks of Being a Wallflower star is nothing but outgoing, cheery and warm. But it turns out that’s not necessarily what she’s looking for in a boyfriend. Or at least not what she’s used to looking for. On today’s Ellen, she talks about the difference between British and American boys. The British lads “dress really well and they are very well mannered,” she said. “But they are also very restrained. Usually in the whole courting situation, I‘m used to being first of all, ignored for the first two months of the ritual. And then maybe they’ll acknowledge my presence. Then, they’ll probably be a little mean to me. And then, maybe we’ll, you know … whatever.
“Then I arrive in America, and I remember a few nights into [attending] Brown, this guy just being like, ‘I like you. You’re great. Let’s go on a date. Let’s do it,’ ” Watson recalled. “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, what just happened?’ This is like a huge culture shock for me. They’re very like open and very straight-forward.”
Rebel Wilson is doing her best to help us in our unofficial quest to write about her twice a day here at VH1 Celebrity. After doing her best Lady Gaga on The Tonight Show earlier this week, she’s back to promoting her rap alter ego, Rebelicious, whom we first met a few weeks ago on Bullett Media. And after firing her sister, Liberty, from her rap duo, she’s enlisted a couple of other talented ladies. On Tuesday, when 14-year-old actress Maude Apatow (yes, daughter of Judd and Leslie Mann) interviewed her for HelloGiggles.com, Rebel instructed her on the art of being a hype man, to adorable effect. And now this morning, we’ve been treated to a performance by Rebelicious and Ellen DeGeneres of Salt-N-Pepa’s “Shoop.”
Amazingly, it is Anna Kendrick, not Rebel, who does the bulk of the rapping in Pitch Perfect. Maybe her talents just went undiscovered until this press tour. Read more…
This is a rare moment in Internet trends — for me at least. Usually, by the time a meme goes mainstream, those of us who basically live online are sick of it. But somehow, I’m still not tired of seeing famous people dance to Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe,” and Psy’s “Gangnam Style” dance is still as infectious as ever. But after this morning’s versions of both of those phenoms — courtesy of Ellen and Glee we think everyone else should give up. First, we have Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres learning “Gangnam Style” from the master himself:
Four things about this: Psy is the most charming man on Earth. Britney deserves the Good Sport prize for dancing in those shoes. Britney also makes the best “concentrating” face. But we think Ellen is actually maybe better at Gangnam Style than Britney.
And next we have the remaining New Directions on Glee, not lip-synching to “Call Me Maybe” as per the usual meme, but covering it:
Jennifer Love Hewitt is a very, shall we say, outgoing woman. She loves prancing about in lingerie for Maxim (and showing off her assets everywhere else she can, too). She’s game for playing a prostitute in her new Lifetime series, The Client List. And she’s not afraid to put herself out there in the dating pool. In an interview for today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, she told Ellen that while she likes being single “I always have my eyes out” for a new man. Actually, she has her eyes out for one man in particular.
“I just read two days ago that Adam Levine is single again. I’m just saying,” Hewitt said. In response, DeGeneres pulled out a phone, acting like she was about to call the Maroon 5 frontman and Voice coach, who just split from his supermodel girlfriend, Anne V.
If Emma Stone got any cuter, she’d turn into a koala bear or something. It’s just futile to resist her charms. Have a look at this clip of her on The Ellen Degeneres Show to see what we’re talking about. She’s also remarkably well composed when asked whether Ryan Gosling or Andrew Garfield (her real-life boyfriend) — her co-stars on Crazy, Stupid Love and the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man — was the better kisser. That’s the sort of question that would make us spontaneously combust. Not Emma, though. She mused, “Apples and oranges you know,” and then pondered the question. When Ellen prompted, “So is it an apple or an orange?” Emma hit back with, “I love all fruit!” Yes, and we’d like to partake.
Hijinks also ensued when Ellen pranked her with a fake spider. It turns out that Emma — and this is ironic for someone starring in Spider-Man — is afraid of spiders. Ellen wanted to make her face her fear head-on. Cue insane Emma Stone cuteness.
