We’re going to be seeing a lot more of Kate Beckinsale since she’s on the promotional circuit for her film Underworld: Awakening  (also known as Underworld 4), which is going to hit theaters on January 20. This is not a bad thing. The movie, we’re not so sure of — we’ve quite had our fill of the Underworld series. But to her all we can say is, welcome back to our style files. Kate whetted our appetites with her Flaunt magazine spread in November last year, and she totally upped the ante on The Late Show With David Letterman last night. Lord knows we love a good sequin. So to see her poured into this one-shouldered, glittery Donna Karen dress makes us want to say hallelujah! She finished the look off with soft waves, Christian Louboutin pumps and Neil Lane jewels. Just flawless, thank you very much.
The Late Show With David Letterman
Most people find to hard to get it right on one occasion, let alone twice in one night. They’re clearly not Charlize Theron whose sartorial choices were spot on two separate occasions in New York yesterday. She wore that stunning black and white Antonio Berardi dress with Tom Ford heels at the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman where she chatted about hew new film, Young Adult. She then carried on for the premiere of the movie to the Ziegfeld Theatre and changed into this red leather dress and gorgeous, strappy gold stilettos. We can’t find fault with either look. Which one do you prefer? Check out the gallery below and let us know!

Three things occurred to us when Sean Young went to The Late Show With David Letterman yesterday.
1. Wow, Sean Young! Let’s give it up for the 80’s y’all!
2. Wow, why is Sean Young trying to dress like a campy villainess from a Bond film?
3. Will she go berserk on us for pointing these facts out?
We’re (bravely) moving along. You know what we mean, right? Doesn’t she look like she’s training to be Alexis on Dynasty or something? Fur wraps “casually” thrown across the shoulders, super glossy red lips and a supposedly understated (but really not) metallic blouson. Does Sean Young have all three on? Check, check and check!
(Hi, Sean Young. Please don’t go crazy on us!)

Anderson Cooper has reported from deep inside of war torn Iraq, but now it looks like he’s reporting from deep inside a Starbucks! The silver haired sex symbol of journalism recently began his day time talk show Anderson on CNN, which tends to veer from the hard-hitting style of his night time news self. A recent episode has Anderson sample coffee for the very first time. But don’t expect him to shell out for an expresso maker anytime soon, because it turns out he’s not a fan. “Really? That’s what people drink everyday? I don’t see the point in that,” he admitted after taking a sip. “It just seems so watery!” Clearly Anderson’s researchers didn’t tell him that it’s an acquired taste.
Then to further broaden his palate, the self proclaimed picky eater sampled spinach for the first time as well! This went down even worse than the coffee, as Anderson made a disgusted face and said it was “slithery” and “gross.” After taping wrapped, the news reporter than wheeled across town to appear on The Late Show With David Letterman, where he got to pose for photos with a llama. So at least the day wasn’t a total waste of time for him. It’s not skinny dipping at George Clooney’s like some veteran reporters get to do…But it’s still pretty cool.

Sarah Jessica Parker‘s known to really take a trend by its horns. No timid experimentation for her. Like with color blocking — she’s not going to throw in a square or two of contrasting colors so that she only partially subscribes to the fad. Check her out at The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday in New York. Hot pink pants paired with a red blouson — both by Prabal Gurung — and white Manolo Blahnik heels? That’s some serious commitment to fashion. Do you dig it or is the outfit giving you a headache?

Waddup Ashton Kutcher? We’re a bit confused by your behavior here. You’ve got a new show which gives you trailers like this one, so we can only imagine your pay check. You’ve also got a supremely hot wife who looks like this in a bikini. Life is good for you, man. So why did you show up at the Late Show with David Letterman in New York yesterday looking like a scruffier version of Pee-Wee Herman? You’re also 33, remember? Still young. And when you clean up, you can look pretty damn fine. Let’s bring that Ashton back — whaddayasay?

Yesterday, the studio audience at The Late Show With David Letterman got quite a treat. A bevy of stars rolled in to get their time on camera with Dave, including Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel Radcliffe and Kelly Ripa. Jennifer — freshly brunette for her role as The Hunger Games’ Katniss — looked absolutely glorious in a curve-skimming blue dress with a skinny orange belt by Altuzarra. The 20 year old actress is also poised for the release of X-Men: First Class which is going to hit theaters on June 3.
Kelly might be two decades older than Jen L, but her body doesn’t show it. She showed it off in a very sexy back baring black dress. And then there was Daniel, who we adore, period. He was there to perform Brotherhood of Man from his Broadway show, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. How could you not love the guy? Apparently, the trio caused quite a fan frenzy outside the studio, which we would have been more than happy to be a part of!

James Franco has been criticized plenty for his Oscar-hosting gig with Anne Hathaway earlier this year, and after all the digs about his energy not matching up to Hathaway’s, his Tweeting from the stage, and the possibility that he was high, he’s finally responding to critics.
Franco was on The Late Show With David Letterman and discussed his hosting with Dave, who has hosted the award show himself and is familiar with the gig. The segment airs tonight, but in this video, you can get a preview of Franco defending himself from the critics and telling Dave “People said I was under the influence. I’ve thought about it. I think I know why. I love her, but Anne Hathaway is so energetic, I think the Tasmanian Devil would look stoned standing next to Anne Hathaway.” After defending himself a bit more against the hatorade, Letterman says to Franco, as only Letterman could, “Let me ask you a question. What the hell do you care?” Exactly. It’s been over a month, let’s all let it go!
There’s a reason that Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were once called the Toxic Twins. The pair was known for legendary drug use, and Tyler admitted to David Letterman last night that he was using drugs as recently as 2009, and not just any drugs. Tyler says he was crushing and snorting the prescription sleep aid Lunesta which he used for a “foot problem.” Because he wanted his feet to fall asleep, we guess?
Tyler jokes about how ridiculous it all sounds to Letterman and how his Lunesta-snorting led to him falling off a stage at a show in 2009. Tyler says “It’s not any news here about my drug use in the past…So a couple years ago, I was doing Lunesta because of some problems with my feet. I was snorting that, I fell off the stage.” DOING Lunesta! Hilarious. He continued “That shows you what kind of a drug addict I was…only the finest for me…I was looking for any excuse to get high.” An incredulous Letterman laughs throughout, asking the questions on all our minds “Is Lunesta good for your feet?” and “When you snort it does it have some kind of different reaction with the body chemistry than when you swallow it?” (Answers: No and Yes.) We assume that now that Tyler is going to be on American Idol twice a week now, he’s got a reason to stay sober—if he falls off the Idol stage he has a much bigger audience watching.
Keri Hilson appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman last night, channeling her inner Diana Ross, style-wise. Check out pics of Keri’s entrance at the studio and her transformation into a Motown-inspired songstress. After the jump, watch Keri’s Diva-worthy performance of “Pretty Girl Rock.” Gotta love a song that uses the phrase “Don’t hate me ’cause I’m beautiful” in the chorus.
