The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

The Breaking Dawn Shortlist: Who Rocked The Minis?

There were gowns aplenty on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 black carpet. But we sifted through piles of photographs and found lots of leg as well. Many celebrities rocked mini dresses, holding their own against the likes of Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser. Ashley Tisdale wore tight, lacy white and leopard-print booties. Kylie Jenner looked lovely in a nude A-line mini with a cinched waist, while sister Kendall Jenner wore a similar peach version. Cassie Scerbo (whutup, Make It or Break It fans) worked it in a bodycon, red number and Melissa Joan Hart wore the same color, only in a more elegant, ’40s silhouette. We’d also like to give special mention to 12-year-old Kiernan Shipka — a.k.a. Sally on Mad Men — who looked lovely and age appropriate in a black and navy blue bell-skirted frock. She may just be our pick for best dressed of the night.

Check out our gallery and let us know who got it right and who got short changed by their stylist.

Fashion Watch: Vote For Your Favorite Breaking Dawn Body

By now, we’ve become cross-eyed staring at all the Breaking Dawn fabulousness that’s been pouring over our computer screens from last night’s black-carpet premiere. This time, the selection of best picks we’ve brought to you, were chosen for one particular reason. Each fabulous gown highlighted, to perfection, a particular body part of the wearer. And no, we’re not going to the gnarly vampire side. Kristin Stewart‘s J Mendel gown showed off her perfect legs (or leg). Ashley Greene‘s custom made Donna Karen drew attention to those amazingly toned arms. Christian Serratos‘ sexy hot-pink Alexander McQueen revealed her beautifully tanned shoulders and Elizabeth Reaser‘s maroon sequined gown put the yummy in the Mummy Cullen. Hello, cleavage! If you have a sternum like that, plunging gowns are your best friend.

So now that we’ve broken it down to body parts — because we’re getting into the spirit of things — we’re curious to know who your favorite is. Vote, vote, vote!

30 Photos Of Robert Pattinson Being Super Adorable With Super Fans

Tonight’s Breaking Dawn black carpet reaffirmed what we’ve grown to know and love about Robert Pattinson — he’s one of Hollywood’s nicest, most patient, appreciative actors. Seemingly still befuddled about why 1,200 Twilight fans would camp out for days for a chance to see his face, Pattinson exudes a genuine modesty possessed by so few physically perfect human beings.

At every premiere since his breakthrough in 2008, Rob has made an over-the-top effort to meet fans, sign autographs and guest star in their Facebook profile photos. Let’s get our squee on and look at the 30 most adorable photos of Rob Pattinson posing with lovingly rabid fans.

Breaking Dawn Black Carpet: Best Of The Sparkly Vampires And Humans

The scene at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 black-carpet premiere on Monday night was a motley mass of press, fans, totally random celebrities (and Kardashians) and, of course, the stars and crew that created this little thing we call Twilight. As has come to be expected of the franchise, even the castmembers with the smallest parts put on their fanciest getups and were treated like A-listers by the fans. Casey LaBow was, well, daring in a yellow and gold mini-dress with gray feather details. Ashley Stewart’s amazing makeup made up for the fact that her dress distractingly reminded us of a candy cane. Christian Serratos‘ sleeveless, flowing hot-pink gown and Elizabeth Reaser‘s maroon sequined, long-sleeved number nearly stole the show. That is, until the real star of the evening showed up. Then we couldn’t tear our eyes away from Kristen Stewart‘s sparkly black-and-blue J. Mendel gown with the slit up to there. And when she kicked off her heels and put on those trademark sneaks, we knew our girl had arrived. Check out our picks for the best dressed vamps and humans at the big event, and stay tuned later for tons more Breaking Dawn coverage.

Breaking Dawn Superfan Week: Who Puts The T In Team Twilight?

As we mentioned this morning, TheFABlife is celebrating the ever-closer release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 by taking a moment to salute the superfan bloggers who make Twilight watching and reading so much fun. Next on our list is Lindsay, who runs Team-Twilight.com, an ubercomprehensive source for Twilight news (seriously, she could put us all out of business!). Check out what she has to say about her absolute Twi-fandom. (And look back at our chat with KSIBTU’s Cynically Convivial here.)

TheFABlife:When did you first fall in love with Twilight?
Lindsay: I read Twilight in 2008 after the film had been made but before we had trailers or anything. I remember seeing the EW cover (which at the time received horrible backlash) and it was enough to grab my attention. I picked up Twilight from the library, and then the next day I bought New Moon and Eclipse. I had to wait a couple months for Breaking Dawn, but I was officially hooked, telling everyone I knew to read them.

TFL: What’s the moment you can’t wait to see in Breaking Dawn (Part 1 or 2)?
Lindsay: SPOILER: I can’t wait for the part where Bella lets Edward inside her head at the very end. But that’s a year away still!

TFL: How many times have you read the books? How many times seen the previous movie?
Lindsay: I have read each of the books different number of times, actually. I’ve read Twilight the most. It’s still my favorite. Same with the movie. I saw Twilight four times in the theater and who even knows how many times on DVD. It’s the one I put on when I am doing housework and run in at my favorite parts, like I haven’t seen them before.

TFL: How many times do you plan on seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1?
Lindsay: Depends who wants to join me! I am guessing three or four times in the theater. And then once I have it on DVD, I am guessing it will be the same as my Breaking Dawn re-reads, which often end after the honeymoon!

TFL: What will you do after the final movie is out?
Lindsay: I don’t know. I’ve asked other fans this too. I run a huge fan site dedicated to the series, but we are TEAM Twilight so we cover the cast and their other projects. I can’t see stopping our site after the series is over. I think we’ll still cover any relevant Twilight news. And personally, I’ll just keep reading the books and keep watching the movies.

Greetings From Breaking Dawn Tent City: The Twilight-iest Place On Earth

We visited the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Tent City yesterday and had an amazing time chatting with fans about the books, the movies and, of course, the thrusting. Over 1200 peeps (double from last year!) have been gathered for days outside of the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, waiting to score a spot on the black carpet of the Breaking Dawn premiere tonight. (See you there!) We hit up Tent City last year for the Eclipse premiere and we’re thrilled to find not much has changed. Fans once again told us they’re camped out for the cast and their love of the books, but also for each other. So many friendships have been forged thanks to Twilight, and Tent City is a real celebration of that — toasting both the silly and serious sides of the most massive and powerful fandom on earth.

Walk with me through the photo gallery to get a feel for the largest city of Twi-hards on the planet. And a special thanks to everyone who chatted with me, said hi and let me photograph them yesterday. You guys are lovely! See you on the carpet — follow us on Twitter at @thefablife for our live-tweets.

Breaking Dawn Superfan Week: This Blogger Says Kristen Stewart Is Better Than You

This week, as we count down the moments until The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits theaters (oh, and so few moments left!!!), we here at TheFABlife would like to take a moment to salute the fellow fans who make Twilight watching and reading so much fun. In particular, we’re honoring a few of the superfans who run excellent blogs devoted to the movies/books/stars. First up, is Cynically Convivial, the anonymous blogger behind Kristen Stewart Is Better Than You, a.k.a. KSIBTU.com. Her funny, enthusiastic musings on all things KStew remind us that this franchise would be nowhere without the girl at its heart. We quizzed CC on her Twi-hardness, and here’s what she had to say.

TheFABlife:
When did you first fall in love with Twilight?
Cynically Convivial: I was a movie before books girl, so I think I knew I was in love when “the lion fell in love with the lamb.” That was the moment when I lost my resolve and gave into this phenomenon. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson left me pining for more Bella and Edward. Their chemistry was insane. After the movie ended, I stole all of the books from my cousin and devoured them in no time. I was hooked.

TFL: What’s the moment you can’t wait to see in Breaking Dawn (1 or 2)?
CC: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is all about the honeymoon, thrusts specifically. Were they actually censored? I’m curious to see. That would be a darn shame for fans … and for Robert Pattinson’s incredible back. I’m also insanely intrigued to see how the imprinting scene will play out. I can’t even imagine … and pretty soon I won’t have to!

TFL: How many times have you read the books? And how many times seen the movies?
CC: I’ve read Twilight at least seven times, and the rest of the books I would say around five. I’ve watched Twilight more times than I can count, but I definitely wouldn’t be ashamed to admit the number. I simply cannot remember because I don’t think my brain can count that high. Catherine Hardwicke is legitimately my hero. I’ve seen New Moon about five times, and the same goes for Eclipse.

Jackson Rathbone Is This Week’s Hotness!

Wow, Jackson Rathbone fans. You guys are a very enthusiastic bunch. Unless you are all actually our own Ambika Muttoo, pressing refresh for the past 24 hours. Not that we in any way dispute that Jackson totally deserves his title as this week’s Hotness. We just thought it would be a tiny bit more of an even fight against his adoptive vampire bro, Kellan Lutz. But when voting closed earlier this afternoon, Jackson had won by 80 percent to Kellan’s 20.

The consolation? Kesmett fans can see more of their hero in Immortals this weekend. While Jackson fans will have to wait one more week for the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Or you can browse through this photo montage of Jackson being very, very excited about your undying devotion.

Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain” Video: 5 Reasons Twilight Fans Should Love It

“There’ll be no sunlight, if I lose you, baby,” Bruno Mars sings in the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 soundtrack single “It Will Rain.” And while the video for the song, which premiered last night, features more of Bruno and a model than Rob and Kristen, it also has a whole lot for Twilight fans to like. Here’s a little countdown:

5: The anguish of Bruno’s lyrics and song, plus the images of rain on the window pain, are so much like the pain we felt when Edward left Forks in New Moon. And like when we finished reading Stephenie Meyer‘s books for the first time and realized there were no more. Or, you know, when you experienced real-life heartbreak. Same thing.

Oops: Ann Curry Tells Robert Pattinson He Has A “Beautiful Girlfriend”

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Much to the delight of “Robsten” believers worldwide, as Today host Ann Curry congratulated Robert Pattinson on his many successes, she included snagging his “beautiful girlfriend.” While it’s pretty obvious at this point that he and Kristen Stewart are in a serious relationship (Bear and all!), we can’t help but get giddy when the subject is openly discussed. One mystery remains…did Ann Curry just naively bring up Kristen without knowing they were still playing the “secret lovers” game, or was it a strategic slip to make Rob (adorably) blush?
