Just in case the combo brewing in our bellies of anticipation and mourning for Breaking Dawn and the almost-end of the Twilight era wasn’t crushing enough, Summit dropped this nostalgia-filled bomb on us. The video recaps the series from the earliest days of Edward avoiding Bella’s delicious stink to leaving her crying in the woods to asking for her hand in marriage/vampirism, accompanied by insider commentary from the cast, director Bill Condon and author Stephenie Meyer.
We’re seriously shaking in our Bella-inspired sneakers to see Part 1 of the grand finale.
We pose a lot of questions here at the FABlife. Rarely do we expect the actual subject of our questions to respond. But Christina Perri did just that! After her video for “A Thousand Years” premiered last week, we asked you to pick which Breaking Dawn quote went best with the song. Here’s Christina’s answer:
“The quote from the poll that most fits ‘A Thousand Years’ from the Twilight books is the one about pulling them together under the water forever and loving each other forever,” she told us, referring to this one, from the first night of their honeymoon: ” ‘Don’t be afraid,’ I murmured. ‘We belong together.’ … ‘Forever,’ he agreed, and then pulled us gently into deeper water.”
“I wrote ‘A Thousand Years’ about Edward and Bella being madly in love with each other for the past 1,000 years and for 1,000 more years and forever and ever and ever. So that quote fits the best!”
Makes sense to us. And who are we to argue with a girl with a Twilight-inspired tattoo?
Kristen Stewart‘s gorgeous mug made it onto four different magazine covers this past month, each with an entirely different look. Glamour gave us girl-next-door Kristen, W won us over with gothic, ’60s-inspired glam, GQ U.K. was an homage to Old Hollywood style and Glamour U.K.’s shoot was edgy and electric, with a rock-and-roll feel. Asking you to pick a favorite is like the Sophie’s Choice of magazine covers, but we have to do it. Yes, they are all stunning and so very different, but surely there’s one that you love just a little more than the rest. Go on, vote in our poll below the jump. Because really, any cover with Kristen on it is a winner in our eyes.
Robert Pattinson arrived back in Los Angeles this afternoon after finishing up a very busy week across the Atlantic promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 with co-star Ashley Greene. We couldn’t help but notice that he was pushing a cart stacked with three enormous suitcases, luggage that he didn’t seem to have in tow with him when he departed for Europe last week. Hmmmm. Did he take a brief detour to London and grab girlfriend Kristen Stewart‘s stuff to bring home to L.A.? Did he cruise through the Netherlands and grab ALL the Heinekens? Did he smuggle Bear the dog (and Jella the cat, and a member of the Brit Pack) through customs? We take a stab at some guesses below — add yours in the comments!
Dang! Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone are giving Ashley Greene and Robert Pattinson some serious competition in the premiere department. RPattz and Ashley had paired up to attend The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 events in Paris and Brussels and they looked pretty great. But Nikki and Jackson — and please forgive us for saying this — have blown them out of the water in the wardrobe department. They also look like they’ve been having fun!
For the photocall in Madrid on Friday night, Nikki wore a cherry-red dress that looked perfect with her chocolate brown hair and paired it with really interesting taupe suede ankle-wrap sandals from Camilla Skovgaard. Jackson looked delish in a jeans-and-blazer combination. For the premiere, the actress put on a really funky green and black polka-dotted dress by Topshop. Jackson, on the other hand, is the only person we know (“know” being a term used loosely) who can pull off an aubergine suit and navy blue shirt. Click after the jump to hear about what they wore in Rome and to access the gallery. Read more…
We can hardly keep up with all the exciting Breaking Dawn developments coming up this week. After watching new clips, catching the premiere of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” and reading new interviews with Rob and Kristen about their sex scenes, we have something else for the Twi-hards today, via VH1’s Breaking Dawn Soundtrack Posted: The premiere of Iron & Wine‘s video for “Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version).” And while the clip is all about the bearded band’s time in the studio, the song itself makes us conjure up visions of Bella and Edward floating through Alice’s Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding wonderland.
This job can be very difficult sometimes. We practically need to file for worker’s comp after this one: We’ve gathered every quote we could — from Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and a couple of special guests — about the Breaking Dawn sex scenes. Beginning with the latest, from KStew in her cover story for Glamour U.K.:
“It was so weird, it didn’t even feel like we were doing a Twilight film. I was like, ‘Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?! It was very surreal. We [originally] got rated R. They re-cut it.” — Kristen in Glamour U.K.
“You just get lubed up and jump right into it! Everyone always says it about sex scenes in movies — it’s really awkward and blah, blah, blah — but it is! You’re playing Twister.” Robert to MTV News
What do we prefer, guys? Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene in Paris? Or Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene in Brussels? The two gorgeous young actors have been the European ambassadors for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 this week. The Paris event happened four days ago, and Ashley looked pretty terrific in a navy Givenchy dress. RPattz, as always, was deliciously scruffy in a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
Ashley’s sartorial choice in Brussels yesterday was quite different from her Paris number. She wore a sexy, shimmery gold L’Wren Scott dress with nude Brian Atwood heels. We love it. And we don’t think we’ll ever get enough of Rob in a suit.

Twilight season is really heating up this week! Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene kicked it off early with a red-carpet appearance in Paris on Sunday. Last night, we got a glimpse of the honeymoon scene, courtesy of Access Hollywood. And then at 12:01 a.m. today, MTV and VH1 premiered the video for Christina Perri‘s “A Thousand Years,” the second single off the Breaking Dawn soundtrack.
The clip features several scenes from the movie that have already been featured in the trailers and TV spots: those sweeping shots of Forks; Jacob receiving the wedding invitation; Bella and Charlie walking down the aisle; Bella and Edward in Rio, on a speedboat headed for Isle Esme, swimming under the waterfall and, of course, in bed. But the one bit of dialogue from the movie that we hear, Edward and Bella whispering “I love you” to each other at the altar, is a new tidbit. All of it is made extra super romantic when set to Christina Perri’s lilting waltz and those heartbreaking vampire-ready lyrics: “I have loved you for a/ Thousand years/ I’ll love you for a/ Thousand more.”
The song’s not going to be playing throughout all these scenes in the movie, of course. If it does, in fact, show up in the film (since many soundtrack songs don’t), we’re dying to know where. The folks at Summit really should have asked us for our opinion, but let’s pretend they did. After the jump, vote for which Breaking Dawn book quote goes best with “A Thousand Years.”
Poor Robert Pattinson. Who knew that that sex scene would make him so paranoid. The actor spoke to Mexican mag 15a20 about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 and how the honeymoon scene with Bella combined with the presence of Taylor Lautner was enough to give him body issues. It isn’t easy bulking up no matter how smooth the hunky werewolf made it look, is what our RPattz sadly discovered.
Rob revealed, “You also have to worry about how you’re going to look. I had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor [Lautner] works out for the movies, I thought, ‘Well, everybody is really going to judge me now. I always tried to think about positions where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly. I think I just gave the most vain answer I could come up with.” And you thought that scene would just be pure passion as opposed to pure panic.
Sadly, the camera can’t create things out of thin air, a fact that got the vamp-with-the-mostest even more worried. Rob added, “In this movie, I thought, ‘Okay, it’s the last one, I’m getting a six pack,’ and I tried, but it’s very hard. I worked out so hard for six months, so after filming the sex scene, the first thing I thought was, ‘Time to eat!’ ” Oh, relax, Rob. No one’s going to be paying attention to what you look like in the movie.
