A tweet for the tweets! Demi Lovato took to twitter last night to shared some snaps of her new tattoo with her followers. “And another picture of my new birdies,” she captioned one of the several photos. The ink depicts 12 birds flying up her arm, trailing the word “Faith” written in elegant script. Deeper meaning or massive George Michael fan? You be the judge.
This isn’t first experience with tattoos. The 20-year-old singer already has the words “Stay” and “Strong” tattooed on her respective wrists, as well as “let go” and “let God” on her feet. But this time around is pretty special the tatt was given to her by former L.A. Ink star Kat Von D! “Thank you so much @thekatvond for my new ink!!” she gushed. “I think it’s beautiful and I love it!!” What do you think of the new ink? Get a closer look in the gallery below and let us know!
By now, it is very likely that you’ve heard something about Khloe Kardashian‘s nipple debuting along with Khloe herself as the host of The X Factor last night. For those of you who haven’t, and care enough to ponder about the situation, this is not about Khloe accidentally spilling out of her top on television as performers are wont to do. We wish that was the case because then all this fuss would make more sense. Instead it is about the fact that Khloe’s semi-sheer purple blouse, worn as she hosted the show, showed a hint of nipple poking through the shirt. Not a nipple slip, not a wardrobe malfunction, but just a very minor case of headlights. And this is what folks are freaking out about? We’ve even had to blur it out in the picture above in case someone gets offended, because so many people are talking about it. Heading this brigade would be Simon Cowell — one of the judges of the show — himself, who couldn’t contain his excitement yesterday and said, “May I say Khloe, you’re looking very sexy tonight … I think the air conditioning is on high.” As if staring at her fully-covered breasts wasn’t enough, he also tweeted this last night.
To all of this we say: GET OVER IT. She had clothes on. Most people didn’t even notice it but thanks to Simon perving out, now everyone else is too. Do we really have so much time on our hands that we now have to find problems with women who are properly and fully clothed too? Khloe herself seems to be amused about her “nip action”, as her tweet seen below reveals, but we’re feeling like everyone needs to move on now.

If there are two people who’s names are synonymous with the struggle for vocal mastery and the pursuit of musical achievement, it would most certainly be Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez. Good thing they’re joining The X Factor as the show’s new co-hosts! We’re just joking, of course. We all know being a reality show host requires only enthusiasm, witty banter and extensive tooth whitening. It’s not like Cat Deeley has ever had to jitterbug a step in her life, and we’re 83% sure Joe Rogan as ever eaten a live cockroach.
According to TMZ, Khloe and Mario are currently finalizing their deals with the show, and are slated to debut on the small screen in November. While we approve of anything that sets Khloe apart from her family members and reminds America that she is the relatable one, we’re inclined to tell Mario to up his game now. He’s sweet and all, but Khloe has so much sass and so many inches on him, we’re afraid Mario will seem like just another pretty, preternaturally smooth face by comparison. Remember how the first season of American Idol had two hosts: Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman? Where’s Brian Dunkleman now, Lopez? Where is Brian Dunkleman now?

“Guess what’s back, back, back, back again….. BANGS are back, back, back tell your friends,” Demi Lovato announced on her Twitter last night, along with the above pic of her blonder-than-ever tresses with gorgeous long bangs. As much as we admire Demi’s flawless forehead (seriously, we covet this girl’s skin!), the new ‘do brings out her eyes perfectly. And this pic reminded us of another brunette-turned-blond beauty who recently showed off her fringe, Paris Jackson. The gorgeous 14-year-old posted Instagram pics of herself getting a cut and color just last month at the Nick Chavez Salon. Again, the bangs accentuate Paris’ stunning eyes.
Now, we’re not saying this is a ‘do for everyone — and we’d like to make a public service announcement to remind the world what a pain in the ass it is to grow your bangs out when you want to switch back — but these two ladies are seriously making us want to embrace the cut once more. (OK, my own pixie cut is going to make this a longer-term challenge, but it might be worth it.) How about you?

Jessica Alba Just One Of The Many Celebs We Wish Wouldn’t Go Blond
Here in the VH1 offices, we’ve been evaluating the judging skills of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on The X Factor. The consensus so far is that Demi’s being a whole lot nicer than Brit. And we’re not sure if that’s a good thing, when it comes to some of the more awful contestants on the show. We know Demi is a sweetheart to her fans, but she’s also got a quick wit we’d kind of like to see more of. She showed off that sharp tongue of hers on last night’s Conan, only it was directed at Simon Cowell rather than a misguided pop star wannabe.
“We’re trying to reach a younger demographic, and I just don’t think we’re going to accomplish that when he’s showing more cleavage than Britney and I are,” she said when Conan O’Brien asked what she thought of Cowell’s signature wardrobe.
“I’m not showing any cleavage, this is a T-shirt,” Simon protested.
“I’m surprised because normally you could braid your chest hair,” Demi said.
And when Cowell reiterated his previous claim that Demi was “annoying,” she struck right back: “Thanks. You can be a bit of an a–hole, how’s that?”
Ooooh! More, please!

5 Things The X Factor Did Right In Its Season 2 Reboot
The second night of The X Factor premiere was just as good as, if not better than, the first night. And our girl, Britney Spears, continued to be the star of the show, bringing insightful critiques to the judging table, as well as two MILF-worthy dresses. But what she wore and said weren’t the only unforgettable things about Brit Brit; she also gave face. Happy, disappointed, confused, she let it all hang out — and it was amazing! We couldn’t help but wonder: What the heck was Britney thinking at those exact moments? Worry no more, fine readers. We took it upon ourselves to find out (you’re welcome). Okay, so maybe we actually made all of these thoughts up, but luckily there’s some amendment in the Constitution that allows us to do so. We’re pretty sure our guesses are spot on anyway.
What Britney’s Thinking: “Really? Those shoes with that dress. Don’t you have a stylist?”
What Britney’s Thinking: “Y’all didn’t tell me these were sour Skittles!”
The X Factor finally returned last night and it did not disappoint. The singing was great (for the most part), Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were entertaining, and the revamped look of the show was stunning. Throw in a little Khloe Kardashian and this contest may actually beat The Voice in the ratings this year.
Here are 5 things The X Factor did right in its season-two premiere. Let us know if you agree or disagree. And tell us what you thought of Britney judging style.
1. It’s Britney, Bitch!
We never doubted Britney Spears would be a great addition to The X Factor judging panel. What was in doubt was her ability to form fully developed thoughts without the assistance of her caregiver/fiance Jason Trawick. And would Britney be able to go an entire two hours without smacking on a piece of Juicy Fruit? Well, color us surprised, y’all, because Brit Brit was fierce on last night’s premiere.
In addition to her brutally honest critiques, Britney looked great (loved the glasses!) and was far less cold to Demi Lovato than we would have imagined (young pop star vs. older pop star — there’s a Lifetime movie in there somewhere). Plus, she showed a range of emotions we weren’t sure she still had in her. Overall, adding Britney to the show is the best decision Simon Cowell could have made this season.
2. Wait, Is This The Hills 2.0?
Say what you will about reality shows and their manufactured drama, but the green room catfights and boy band life lessons on The X Factor really made us think we were watching a long-lost episode of The Hills — and we loved it. Watching Kaci and Kaylee Newton mean girl Paige Thomas so reminded us of that time Audrina and Heidi didn’t invite Lauren to a party in West Hollywood … or something like that. Keep the fabricated drama coming!
Reality television gets a bad rap. Many wonder how so many nobodies with questionable talent can become some of the most famous people in the world (hey, Honey Boo Boo!). And then they wonder, “How can I do the same?” Well, we don’t have the answer to that question, but what we do have is a roundup of the best reality-TV shows hitting the tube this fall. Whether you’re a dancing fanatic, a Demi Lovatic or obsessed with JWOWW’s ample assets, there’s a little something for everyone. The Epcot Center of the tube, if you will. Check out our picks below and then tell us what you’ll be watching this fall.
Can you believe Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton have been blindly auditioning contestants in our living rooms for three seasons now? We can barely remember a time before we had to choose between Team Adam and Team Christina. Thankfully, the bickering foursome is back to in their swiveling chairs on a quest to find The Voice (duh!). And it’s not secret that NBC is hoping to deliver a ratings smackdown to Fox’s The X Factor in the process. Our opinion: We love Xtina, but our money’s on Britney. Premiering September 10, 11, 12 at 8 on NBC, airing Mondays and Tuesdays at 8.
What the Critics Say: “The Voice promises big changes this year – hopefully they live up to it in a major way because it would be a shame to see the series over-saturate the brand and not make adjustments to ensure its longevity like [American] Idol has somehow managed to do.” –– Assignment X
The X Factor
Britney. Spears. Need we say more? Clearly, we don’t, but we will anyway. It’s been years since we’ve heard Brit Brit speak more than a few sentences, let alone offer up her opinion. Simon Cowell tells People.com, “[She] is a fascinating person because you just don’t know anything about her … she’s very unpredictable … she has taken this very seriously and she’s surprisingly quite mean.” Any show where a “mean” Britney Spears joins forces with hair-chameleon Demi Lovato has us hooked. Premiering September 12, airing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
What the Critics Say: “Curiosity is enough to drive The X Factor to a ratings win tonight. If Britney can help the troubled show find its footing, don’t be surprised if she breaks out a rendition of ‘Oops! … I Did It Again’ and maybe even cracks a smile. –– Boston Herald
Remember the time you had an idea for a super cool product, but didn’t have enough money to make it happen? Shark Tank takes everyday people with great –– and sometimes not so great –– ideas and gives them a forum to pitch their products to a group of “sharks,” successful businessmen and women with fat wallets, who will invest in their companies. Sounds extremely nerdy and boring, but Shark Tank is anything but. It was nominated in the non-competition reality show category at this year’s Primetime Emmys and features Dallas Mavericks owner –– and noted hothead –– Mark Cuban. Cancel your Friday night plans and dive in. Premiering September 14, airing Fridays at 8 p.m. on ABC; moving to 9 p.m. on November 2.
What the Critics Say: “The tension between the Sharks is palpable. The entrepreneurs more confident. The deals less formulaic. In many ways Shark Tank has become the American Idol of the small business startup.” — Forbes
We can only assume that Britney Spears saw yesterday’s Hottest Bikini Bods of Summer 2012 poll and decided she needed to be in on the game. Unfortunately, she also just missed the cutoff for our Hottest Twitpics of August post. Whatever, Britney deserves to be in a category all her own, right? Especially with an adorable photo like this one.
“Having some fun in the sun… don’t want summer to be over!” she wrote. That sentiment, combined with the super-cute ’60s floral print bikini she’s wearing, makes her seem more like an innocent teenager (who doesn’t want to go back to school) than she has since, oh, 1999. Her body looks great, and those glasses give her a touch of the hipster/I’m-not-onstage-so-I-can-relax vibe.
This is the perfect antidote to all those nasty rumors about Simon Cowell ordering Brit to “clean up” her look for The X Factor and her banning pretty women from working on the show. Look, we’re not naive; we don’t think things are all perfectly smooth and easy behind the scenes with two first-time judges who have a history of emotional fragility and are rarely forced to share the spotlight. But we are seriously looking forward to watching what happens this season, and no rumors are going to crush that … at least not until the first episode airs on September 12.
We don’t really know what to make of this bit of news, so we’re going to ask your opinion, to help sort us out. The X Factor auditions hit Greensboro, North Carolina, on Monday. We all know by now that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are on the judging panel too. Apparently, one hopeful seemed to be a massive fan of La Spears and sang “You Drive Me Crazy” — her hit single from way back when — in semi-drag as his audition. The news is that Brit-Brit looked kind of shocked as he performed the number, and L.A. Reid even ended up patting her on her back, while Demi and Simon Cowell cringed and hid their faces with their hands. That must have been some audition, huh? And then she walked off! Followed by L.A. and Demi. To be clear, this obviously wasn’t about the man being in drag, at all. All the reports we’ve been hearing is that he really couldn’t sing a bar straight.
Perhaps they all needed to compose themselves after what seems to be a pretty traumatic experience? We’ve all seen performances like that. Simon, to his credit, stayed and said, “I don’t think she quite understood your tribute.” The performer was quite distraught and revealed he recently had to go on welfare. But this is a singing competition and sad story or not, he wasn’t getting anywhere. But our question is, should Britney have stalked off? This is the second time a report has popped up about Britney walking off The X Factor set. But she cleared the air the last time tweeting, “
#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!” Britney did come back eventually and said, “I really respect the tribute. It was really nice.” Now, that just sounds fake to us. Because if it was nice, why walk off? See what we mean?
