This is such a huge bummer! If you’re like us and have been bawling every time you hear Someone Like You then it’s going to hit you especially hard, be warned. Adele has cancelled her entire US tour — it was supposed to begin on October 7 in Atlantic City — due to vocal illness. She expressed her sadness on her official site saying, “Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself. i follow all the advice im given and stick to regimes, rules and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough.”
It’s a long blog entry which you can read here. She apologises throughout writing, “i have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously i take it and how truly devastated and annoyed i am by this. wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as im sure you know!” It’s sad for sure, but hang in there, Adele! We want you to get better!

When you hear about singers getting crazy on their tour bus, it’s usually not followed by the words “as they howled in pain while clutching their broken leg.” People reports that singer Miranda Cosgrove injured her ankle after her tour bus slammed into an overturned tractor trailer outside Vandalia, Illinois this morning. “There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle,” Cosgrove’s rep said in a statement. “At the time, we are told everyone will be fine.” Or as fine as you can be if you woke up to find yourself hurtling through a tour bus.
The driver of the truck Phillip Carter and bus driver Rodney McClure were among the most injured in the accident, and at least three people had to be taken to a hospital. The crash also forced Cosgrove to cancel her Wichita concert date tomorrow, with all upcoming dates on hold. “Her tour is postponed until further notice,” her rep says. “Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support,” and hopes everyone will respect her wishes to travel via plane next time.
After filming two seasons straight, at least one member of Jersey Shore is going to come staggering out of the beach house with a job lined up. Pauly D’s Britney Spears tour gig has him opening for the singer during six dates this fall. “I am so excited to be performing on the Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour,” Pauly said in a statement. “Britney is one of my favorite performers and certainly one of this generation’s most influential artists. It’s an amazing platform to connect with my fans around the country.” It’s probably also nice not to be trapped with seven other people in a home filled with simmering rage and the smell of old gym bags, though yes, Britney is seriously amazing.
Pauly’s first show will be August 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where hopefully he won’t panic at the thought of seeing thousands of people he doesn’t spent 24 hours a day with. As for playing Spears’ songs prior to her performance, Pauly scoffs “A DJ should not play the artist’s songs at her concert ’cause she has to perform these songs. I’m not going to be playing any Britney before she performs; maybe after. I’ll let her perform, let her shine ’cause it’s her night.” Hmmm, no Britney and no computer for the past nine months…let’s hope “We No Speak Americano” has enough remixes to make this work.
Didn’t we just write that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were back together again? Proving to us pictorially that the story is true, Liam and Miley are in Australia a deux and really making a go of it. Miley’s been traveling because of her Gypsy Heart Tour that’s already seen her performing through South America. She’s on the Aussie leg now and will be performing in Brisbane tonight. That’s where this picture of the reunited couple was clicked — arriving at Brisbane airport. Miliam has already hit Sydney where they were photographed shopping and looking generally adorable together! And can we also say how incredibly handsome Mr Hemsworth is looking? Their next stop is Melbourne which is where native Aussie Liam was born, FYI. Keep it real, you two!

“It’s Opening Night B—TC!!!!….” is what Britney Spears tweeted last night along with a picture of her hugging boyfriend Jason Trawick in a pretty swank
green white room. And thus began Britney’s Femme Fatale tour at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California. It looked like vintage Brit-Brit up there — she looked healthy, fit, seductive and set that stage on fire! The props! The outfits! Everything was so O.T.T and so very Britney.
Here’s just a couple of things she did — she straddled a massive sparkling guitar to begin with, rode in on a motor cycle and writhed around in a cage. We also loved the Marilyn Monroe Seven Year Itch-esque white skirt flaring out. You can see all of it in the gallery below. She’s definitely still got it! It looks like she enjoyed being back on stage and on tour again quite too. At the end of the night, Brit tweeted, “Can’t sleep. WAY too much Adrenaline right now. Sacramento was on fire tonight. You ready San Jose? Cause I am!!!!” Welcome back, b—ch.

This morning it was announced that Britney Spears would be touring North America this summer to support her Femme Fatale album, and she would be joined on the road by Enrique Iglesias. Britney has already performed a couple of free shows to create some buzz, but she probably didn’t anticipate even more buzz just hours later, when Iglesias dropped out of the tour. Seems weird that Iglesias bailed so abruptly, it’s not like these decisions are made overnight. We only hope Britney doesn’t hold it against him (heyoo).
Iglesias was slated to be a co-headliner on the tour, not just an opening act, and he has not yet provided a comment as to why he bailed. So now that Iglesias is out, who should replace him? Perhaps a solo Jonas? Someone new who also shuns pants, like Jessie J? Leave your suggestions in the comments!

Call us cynical, but the better Charlie Sheen‘s My Violent Torpedo of Truth show does, the more we suspect his breakdown was part of the most ingenious viral marketing campaign known to man. According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen will make $7 million from his tour dates so far. Sure, the actor had to permanently ruin his reputation in Hollywood to do it, but those tickets are selling like enchanted warlock hotcakes! And look at Charlie’s tour poster; somewhere a van is getting airbrushed with that image as we speak. Sheen now has 21 dates scheduled, including a Toronto spot, for his hour and 15 minute show, featuring “essentially Charlie doing comedy in a chair.” So basically you’re paying to see something you get for free in your Twitter feed? That’s like paying for water in a bottle when you can just get it from the tap! Oh Sheen, you ingenious bastard…
The actor is able to earn so much from the show due to his concert contract, which let’s him keep 85% of what the tour makes. The shows also have no advertising costs; ticket sales have relied solely on Charlie’s twitter announcements/rants, even for his sold out shows. Meanwhile, Sheen is raffling tickets off for charity for his Detroit show. Hmm, doing something morally conscionable to offset Sheen’s recent dispute with Brooke Mueller over their kids. How…calculated. Next thing you know we’ll find out the goddesses are paid PR consultants. Rather than just paid.

We know what you’ve been thinking: how can a man accustomed to flying around in a G6 attended to by the finest of porn stars while drinking the freshest tiger blood deal with leaving a $2 million dollar-an-episode pay check? Well, if Charlie Sheen plays his cards right, he might never have to find out. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Sheen earned $300,000 for his Detroit and Chicago shows. While not exactly a salary befitting a warlock king, the production costs for the tour will likely to be minimal, unless you count the minds that they’ll have to steam-clean off the seats after Sheen causes them to be blown.
Meanwhile, Sheen’s lawsuit against Chuck Lorre and CBS will be private, so we’ll have no idea for a while if Charlie will be raking in that dough. To while away the time, Sheen has added more dates to his My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option Show tour in Cleveland, Columbus, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, bringing the opportunities to see Sheen biwinning up to a grand total of 9. A third New York Show was added after Sheen’s Radio City Music Hall dates sold out in 9 minutes. “Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?! This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it I dare you to keep up with me,” the actor writes in Sheen’s New York show page. So Charlie might not be making quite as much money, but he’s living the (disturbing, nearly hallucinogenic) dream. Luckily for Sheen, in his mind at least, winning’s free.

Madonna is the Queen Bee of all pop stars and she basically has her pick of who she wants to work with – she’s collaborated with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera, among others. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement – she gets youthful pop cred, and they get to work with one of the most legendary pop performers of all time. So it makes perfect sense that Madge is rumored to be “obsessed” with Lady Gaga and wants to tour with her.
A source at News Of The World says “[Madonna] thinks she is the most cutting-edge star to come out of pop in ages and desperately wants to work with her, ” and that “Basically Gaga can name her price.” It’s obvious that Gaga has followed the path Madonna paved, but we go back and forth between thinking this is an amazing idea and worrying that this tour will create a mega-storm of diva attitude that not even one Jennifer Lopez tour rider can rival. Either way, it would be awesome to behold.

Christina Aguilera is going through a rough patch these days. First it was the claim that she was bashing Lady Gaga, which she denied on her blog. Now, it looks like Aguilera is postponing her summer tour. Her people explained “The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn’t possible.” They also explained that she will be busy promoting her new film Burlesque which we are admittedly excited for (Hello, Cher!). Her album, Bionic, releases June 8, so it’s too bad her schedule (*cough – poor ticket sales – cough*) is getting in the way. Reps confirmed though that the Bionic tour will definitely take place in 2011 so, you know, hope you still like that album a year from now, fans.
