Oh, Kate Middleton! My love for this woman is unconditional and no secret to you readers. But this love was sorely tested this weekend when the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations were taking place across the pond. We knew Kate would hit a home run — or, since it’s England, a sixer (cricket speak) — with what she would decide to wear. And she did, with a gorgeous crimson Alexander McQueen dress with her nude L.K. Bennett pumps, a slightly modified version of the McQueen Classic Skull clutch and a Lock and Co fascinator much like the lovely maple leaf hat she wore in Canada last year. Since she’s Kate, she also had the frock changed a bit. Sleeves were added, the hemline was lowered and the neckline was altered. Modest, yet gorgeous!
So imagine our chagrin when we learned that the same dress had already been seen on two starlets who come nowhere close to Kate’s sartorial stratosphere. The first is Tulisa Contostavlos (of sex tape notoriety) who wore the dress at The X Factor auditions last year, as seen on the left. The second is our very own Kim Kardashian, who wore it along with towering snakeskin Louboutins, in New York last year while filming Kim and Kourtney Take New York, as seen on the right. We think that Kate rocks the outfit the most, but are interested to know what you think. Vote in the poll below to let us know your top choice!
FHM HAS SPOKEN! The British mag spent the last year looking critically at every single woman on earth and, after doing so, deemed British celeb Tulisa Contostavlos the Sexiest Woman on Earth. Better luck next year, all other females on the planet! The actress, X Factor judge and singer-songwriter (formerly of the group N-Dubz) is a bonafide It Girl in the U.K., but the question in our mind is…can she cut in America? So, of course, we wanted to see how the new sexiest woman in the world compared to British crossover stars…or wannabe crossovers. So how does Tulisa stack up with others who have tried to make it big across the pond? She already has her own perfume line, which is a good start at least…

Cheryl Cole: Considering how huge Cole is in the U.K., it’s no wonder Simon Cowell kept trying to make her happen here, bringing her on for a judge’s spot on the American version of The X Factor last year…before kicking her off. Seeing how jazzed people seem to be about her new video for “Call My Name,” however, we’re pretty sure Cheryl is in this to win this. Our conclusion: Even if you don’t make the transition the first time, Tulisa, there might always be success further on down the line. Or at least another fragrance.
Jessie J: Even though her leg was broken for what seemed like eons, the Gaga-esque pop star was everywhere in America this past fall, including the VMAs and in our ear holes with “Domino.” Our conclusion: Leg braces? Kind of a hot look. Something to think about, Tuls.
Tulisa Contostavlos is a pretty huge name over in the U.K. She’s not only a singer-songwriter (as a part of N-Dubz, which split up) and an actress, she is also a judge on The X Factor. So you can imagine what would happen when a sex tape featuring Tulisa makes an appearance on the web. It’s everywhere. The video was posted earlier this week and supposedly featured a blond Tulisa performing a sex act on a male partner recorded on a camera phone. Her lawyers rushed into action and immediately got it taken off the internet, but the damage was already done.
Interestingly enough, after the initial denials by her team of her actually being on the tape, a rather unexpected event has taken place. Tulisa has posted a video on YouTube which is a confession of sorts, as well a response to the sex tape. She talks about how it is, indeed her on it, along with ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards — also known as Ultra — and calls him out for posting the video. It’s a pretty straight-up, interesting monologue, delving a bit into the history of their relationship and how close they were. “As you can imagine, I’m devastated, heartbroken, and I’ve been in bits for the past few days. When you share an intimate moment with someone that you love, that you care about and you trust, you never imagine for one minute that that the footage may at one point be shared with the rest of the U.K. or even people around the world, so as you can imagine, it’s a pretty tough time for me.”
