Make room for Camden and Lorenzo! Proud mommas Snooki and Kristin Cavallari have never been camera shy and it looks like their little ones are following in their footsteps, whether they want to or not. The two reality-TV stars are joining the ranks of other adorable twitpic-posting celeb moms Hillary Duff, Alisan Porter and Lily Aldridge. Kristin recently tweeted a pic of adorable son Camden Jack, who was born on August 8 and is already rocking his Chicago Bears gear in support of dad, quarterback Jay Cutler. Snooki is also blowing up Twitter with pics of son Lorenzo, who was born August 26! Who would have ever pictured these two MTV fixtures playing the mommy role so well? We love to see them doting over their precious babies! Vanessa Lachey also tweeted pic of son Camden John and hubby Nick Lachey. BTW, Kristin and Vanessa have similar taste in baby names and men — in case you don’t remember, Cavalleri was at one time romantically linked to Lachey after his divorce from Jessica Simpson … who also regularly tweets pics of daughter Maxwell! All love triangles and copycatting aside, we can’t wait for the next adorable baby pics. Take a look at some of the cutest celebrity we’ve seen lately:
“Guess what’s back, back, back, back again….. BANGS are back, back, back tell your friends,” Demi Lovato announced on her Twitter last night, along with the above pic of her blonder-than-ever tresses with gorgeous long bangs. As much as we admire Demi’s flawless forehead (seriously, we covet this girl’s skin!), the new ‘do brings out her eyes perfectly. And this pic reminded us of another brunette-turned-blond beauty who recently showed off her fringe, Paris Jackson. The gorgeous 14-year-old posted Instagram pics of herself getting a cut and color just last month at the Nick Chavez Salon. Again, the bangs accentuate Paris’ stunning eyes.
Now, we’re not saying this is a ‘do for everyone — and we’d like to make a public service announcement to remind the world what a pain in the ass it is to grow your bangs out when you want to switch back — but these two ladies are seriously making us want to embrace the cut once more. (OK, my own pixie cut is going to make this a longer-term challenge, but it might be worth it.) How about you?

Great news for McKayla Maroney and fans who were hoping to see the Olympic gold medalist on the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastic Champions: She emerged from an unspecified surgery on Thursday and was soon back to her tweeting and Instagram-ing ways. “I’M ALIVE!!!! hahaha just kidding..(; I just woke up from my surgery a little bit ago and was told it was successful!!#ThumbsUp #ThankGod,” she wrote in a caption to the above photo.
Both McKayla and fellow Fierce Five member Aly Raisman injured themselves on the uneven bars during the Kellogg’s tour stop in Ontario, California, on Monday. Raisman bruised her knees, but Maroney fractured a tibia, according to USA Gymnastics. We’re unsure if that was the reason for her surgery on Thursday.
Of course, a little injury wasn’t about to keep McKayla or her fans from keeping her infamous meme going. She retweeted this pic sent to her from fans.
We can only assume that Britney Spears saw yesterday’s Hottest Bikini Bods of Summer 2012 poll and decided she needed to be in on the game. Unfortunately, she also just missed the cutoff for our Hottest Twitpics of August post. Whatever, Britney deserves to be in a category all her own, right? Especially with an adorable photo like this one.
“Having some fun in the sun… don’t want summer to be over!” she wrote. That sentiment, combined with the super-cute ’60s floral print bikini she’s wearing, makes her seem more like an innocent teenager (who doesn’t want to go back to school) than she has since, oh, 1999. Her body looks great, and those glasses give her a touch of the hipster/I’m-not-onstage-so-I-can-relax vibe.
This is the perfect antidote to all those nasty rumors about Simon Cowell ordering Brit to “clean up” her look for The X Factor and her banning pretty women from working on the show. Look, we’re not naive; we don’t think things are all perfectly smooth and easy behind the scenes with two first-time judges who have a history of emotional fragility and are rarely forced to share the spotlight. But we are seriously looking forward to watching what happens this season, and no rumors are going to crush that … at least not until the first episode airs on September 12.

I already know the answer is no, Adam Lambert fans do not at all care whether Adam Lambert’s new tattoo is a misquote, because once he has said/written/sung any words, they are his and therefore completely right. And we actually rather like his “Musica delenit bestiam feram” tat, as celebrity ink goes. But just as a public service, in case you were about to run to your local parlor to copy it, we wanted to mention one tiny little detail. The words, translated to “Music soothes the savage beast,” are a common alteration to the original quote, from English poet William Congreve‘s 1697 play The Mourning Bride, which actually says, “Music has charms to soothe a savage breast.” Then again, modern-day people would feel pretty weird about inking themselves with anything about soothing breasts, even if you know no one means it that way. This is just like how Judas Priest turned the phrase “You’ve got another think coming,” into their signature song “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming.” “Thing” and “beast” make much more sense to me, too.
Just for fun, here are some pics of Lambert’s other tattoos, about which my inner English major can’t find anything to nitpick:
What do you do after defending your gold medal title and setting an Olympic record in the process? On your country’s independence day? OK, many Olympians would be going home and soaking in ice or something, if they have another event coming up. But not Usain Bolt. Even though he’s got a 200m race coming up on Tuesday, he partied it up on Sunday night (and into 3 a.m. on Monday) after winning his 100m in 9.63 seconds, the Daily Mail reports.
And the above picture is why we are so happy social media has entered the world of sports, because not only can we hear the stories from Hope Solo about the salacious goings on in Olympic village, but we can get a sneak peek at some of it, via Twitpics and Instagram. “A gaza we say hmmm mmm,” Bolt captioned his Instagram. We don’t need to understand Jamaican slang to get the gist of that. According to the Daily Mail, the three lovely ladies inexplicably repping the Westside in this pic are Jamina Roberts, Ulrika Agren and Isabella Gullden of the Swedish women’s handball team. They, at least have no more worries in the competition, after being knocked out by South Korea on Sunday.
OK, so Kim Kardashian shouldn’t quit all her day jobs for a life as a photographer — ohh, that lighting, the angle, the phone in the face! Also, the bikini she’s wearing in these two photos she posted to Instagram, bragging “#nofilter #nophotoshop” doesn’t quite seem to fit her so well. But we have to give props where they’re due: Kim clearly doesn’t need Photoshop or great lighting to make her body look awesome, and these pics are just what we needed on this sloooow news day.
The only thing hotter than the weather this sweltering July was our Twitter feed! Celebrities of every stripe were tweeting teasingly scandalous photos that were not always safe for work (unless you work for VH1 Celebrity, in which case, it’s cool). It seemed like there were more super sexy skin-filled Twitpics in July than in the rest of 2012 combined! Maybe it’s global warming?
Selena Gomez modeled a selection from her new bikini style line, while Adrianne Curry modeled her BDSM-inspired Comic-Con outfits. Rihanna tweeted so many sun-drenched photos from her never-ending Mediterranean vacation that we’re starting to imagine that we were there. Some celebs, like Aubrey O’Day, Heidi Klum and, of course, Coco, tweeted up-close and personal pics of their favorite body parts (spoiler alert, it was usually boobs or butts) and reps from the Kardashian Klan went more for the full body shots. The Spears sisters both weighed in with bangin’ bikini shots of their own, and High School Musical soul sisters Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens did the same.
We had hot moms like Jada Pinkett-Smith, Sofia Vergara, Vanessa Minnillo and Jessica Alba. And Kris Humphries’ rumored GF Myla Sinanaj shared a pic to prove she’s gonna be a hot mom in the near future. And of course models like Candice Swanepoel, Bar Refaeli and Tyra Banks turned even the most humble Instagrams into glam shots worthy of GQ and beyond. If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the gallery below. But if you want the sexiest Twitpics of July 2012, you’re in the right place!
Earlier this month, we heard stories about Lindsay Lohan, Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey striking up a friendship and having a little slumber party at the Chateau Marmont in L.A. We kind of shrugged it off as one of those fever dreams we have after writing too many blog posts. Also, they were reportedly just playing board games and watching old movies, so we really didn’t believe it. But yesterday, Gaga posted pics from their ladies’ night on her LittleMonsters.com site.
