Every time a magazine has interviewed Kristen Stewart since the events of July, they interpret every single posture and quote in terms of the scrutiny she was under after her dalliance with Rupert Sanders was revealed. And it’s not like we blame them — it was a pretty big deal. Her cover story for the latest issue of V Magazine, for instance, talks about the “slightly feral air to her presence—she’s jumpy and prone to pacing—but all the anxiety is kind of endearing. She’s young and excitable, and having weathered the highs and lows of 2012, she claims to feel stronger than ever before.” But we would also like to point out something else about this interview other than her perceived vulnerability or “emotional force field.” That’s the fact that her future is wide open, and she’s wide open to it.
Quickly, there isn’t much time! Check out Kate Upton‘s gorgeous Vogue Italia cover now before Hurricane Sandy takes the power out! Yes, we know you can look at it later, but let’s be real. Later you’ll be eating lukewarm canned soups and cursing yourself for not getting more toilet paper…it’ll be a big whole thing. So use your electricity and Wifi wisely in the meantime and peep Upton’s classic first Vogue cover, a cover which pretty much proves anyone who dismissed Kate as “only” a bikini model had no idea what they were talking about. “Italian vogue cover:)) shot by Steven Meisel!” she gushed along with the pic. The giant hair, the lips, the plunging neckline: Upton looks very Italian high fashion to us. You needed something to get you through the storm, right? Let it be Kate Upton’s insane cheekbones.
Upton had previously appeared in the pages of Vogue and Vogue Spain before landing the upcoming cover. Kate also tweeted some devastating behind-the-scenes photos from a recent V Magazine shoot that you must look at now, or curse yourself over later when the only thing in your field of vision is tea candles and triple A batteries. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! You’re welcome!

This is the same woman who played Virginia Woolf! And Diane Arbus! And is about to play Grace Kelly! Which is probably why we’re so into Nicole Kidman‘s reinvention as a southern-fried sex kitten (a regional delicacy!) for Lee Daniels‘ The Paperboy. It looks like Nicole is even more into than we are, however, seeing as how she got topless and bottomless for her trashy-hot V Magazine cover. “I don’t really make decisions,” Kidman says in her interview. “I go with the flow. If I were a strategically minded person, I think I would have a far different career. But I would be more outlandish if I could. A lot of times you just don’t get the chance.” Yeah, considering Nicole’s won an Academy Award, this definitely qualifies as outlandish. Peeing on Zac Efron was just the beginning!
To be honest, the rest of Nicole’s Mario Testino-shot spread is even more revealing than her cover, and by that we mean Nicole is totes wearing a see-through bra. Meanwhile, director Daniels takes a moment to describe an aggressive sex scene between John Cusack and Kidman that takes place on top of a washing machine. Consider us scandalized. “At a certain point, I saw the bruises on her legs. So I said, ‘Nicole, are you okay?’ She lied. ‘I’m fine,’ she said. She wasn’t fine. I could see the bruises. But she kept going,” he says. Whaaaaa? Of all two people in the world! While we rewatch Cold Mountain and shake our heads, you can click the jump to check out the full cover, and that Academy Award-winning booty:
You won’t be able to miss V Magazine‘s Americana issue, out on newsstands on May 10, even if you wanted to. The cover features Ke$ha‘s face with tricked out big hair, like a lion’s mane, and her face painted with the Stars & Stripes. It’s colorful and almost hypnotic. We never thought we’d call someone who pees on the street hypnotic, but there you have it.
The magazine’s editorial team published a bit on why they chose the singer to cover the issue, amid the regular explanations of the magazine’s contents. They said, “In this edition of V you’ll find historic fashion figures, musical geniuses, and a fair amount of kitsch. Our cover star, the indomitable Ke$ha (shot by Inez & Vinoodh and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele), ticks all three of the aforementioned boxes.” They also propped her up, adding, “Not only is she fearless with her style, but as the self-made songstress from Tennessee reveals to senior editor Patrik Sandberg, she is equally passionate about her loyal fanbase and her furry four-legged friends. ”
Ke$ha herself reveals a hilarious take on what she thinks about her image in the magazine, stating, “I do feel like there are the pop stars of the world and then I’m like their dirty little sister, running around with sh– on my face in combat boots because I can’t walk in heels.” As far as quotes go, we have to applaud the self-effacing honesty of it. What do you guys think of her cover?

Jennifer Lopez has spent the last decade establishing to the world how sweet her booty looks. JLo’s near nip slip is already so Oscars 2012. What’s new body part can the American Idol judge bring to our attention? How about some of that sweet, sweet bulge? Okay, so Jennifer’s package is just the weird padding on a pair of boxing shorts, but we demand you look at her new V Magazine cover and tell us you aren’t immediately forced to glance at her crotch. It’s like a magnet for the eyes…pervert eyes!
At least V waited until today to release the magazine cover; we shudder to think of how costar Steven Tyler would have teased JLo about her new genital enhancement last night. “It was no nipple!” Lopez exclaimed on Idol Tuesday night when Tyler teased her about her revealing Academy Awards dress, yanking down his shirt into a more scandalous cut. “That was a reenactment of the Oscars,” Ryan Seacrest laughed. Okay, okay, but seriously, what body part is there left for JLo to blow out minds with? We need to start brainstorming for next year’s red carpet. How about legs? Legs are good. Feet? Arms? El…elbows?

There was only love when Miley Cyrus met Joan Jett and the two sat down for a chat. Cyrus had to interview Joan, her idol, for V Magazine‘s upcoming “Heroes” issue, a feat that made the young ‘un quite nervous understandably. She told Jett about how and where her admiration for The Runaways rocker stems from, saying, “…When you came out people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys.” She also added, “I love that you never apologized for who you were. It’s something I had to learn. … I’m sick of feeling as if I owe someone an apology for being who I am.”
Jett, in return, also encouraged Cyrus for having the courage to be a young star in today’s pop climate. She replied, “I was thinking to myself … how difficult it must be to lead your life as a teenager with the paparazzi and the amount of press you’re surrounded by. I thought to myself, ‘Wow that was kind of a blessing that we didn’t have that stuff when I was growing up in The Runaways’.” She makes a point because stars are under way more intense scrutiny these days than ever before. We can’t wait to see more of the interview in the issue!

You know who doesn’t get enough love from the world of haute couture? Cerberus, the three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hades in Greek mythology. Lucky Lady Gaga’s V Magazine cover is finally giving credit where credit is due. Mother Monster not only fronts the magazine’s new Asian issue, she also writes her own article on fashion, in which she claims: “I myself can look at almost any hemline, silhouette, beadwork or heel architecture and tell you very precisely who designed it first, what French painter they stole it from, how many designers reinvented it after them and what cultural and musical movement parented the birth, death and resurrection of that particular trend.” If anyone throughout all of history has ever used a tri-headed dog as part of their Asian-inspired look, then we really need to stop shopping at Target and pay attention.
Of course, if an homage to the legendary hound isn’t enough to get your fashion motor running (running so hard and so fast away from the V photo shoot), you can also turn to Lady Gaga’s penis shoes for inspiration. Gaga’s American Idol appearance was intended to inspire the final contestants to greatness, but the Lucite phalluses she wore on her boots might also birth a whole generation of wiener shoes. We’re sure all of the hell beasts would be pleased.

In case you’d forgot who the ultimate pop-tart really is (We’re so sorry, Gaga), Britney Spears posing topless for V Magazine will refresh your short pop culture memory. What should we keep in mind about Ms. Spears? “That the bitch is back and better than ever!” Britney tells V. Candy-colored Spears looks like something you’d find nestled in a pile of plastic grass on Easter morning, but the much more guarded singer reminds us that a girl can’t have a thirteen-year-long career, survive a marriage to KFed and attack a car with an umbrella without having a secret razor blade inside.
In her interview about her new album Femme Fatale releasing March 29 which features songs by Will.i.am and Ke$ha, Spears explains how she’s finally learning to live her life out of the public eye. “I think it’s easier to let people in when you’re younger, but when I became a mother I wanted more privacy for myself and my children. A life away from my life,” Britney muses. When asked if she was destined for fame, Spears laughs dryly, “If not, then God definitely has a strange sense of humor.” At least Britney does too, or girlfriend wouldn’t have any of that sweetness left.

We all knew we’d be blow away by Nicki Minaj‘s cover of V Magazine, but who knew girl would burn it down looking like Dia de los Muertos Barbie? Inside the mag Nicki Teresa opens up about her smash album Pink Friday, dream collabo with Taylor Swift and efforts to just “do her.” Based on all the jaw-dropping costume changes Minaj packed into one magazine, we’d say that she’s doing her just fine!

Check out this amazing V Magazine cover with Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga. This gorgeous piece was shot by who else but Mario Testino and the master photog has the Lady dressed as Lady Liberty, only Gagafied of course. Read: in her underwear.
This issue is called V67- The New York issue. We’re guessing the rest of the magazine is going to be filled with even crazier images and the buzz is that it’s also going to feature plenty of everybody’s favorite New Yorkers! We’re also guessing that a fair amount of peeps aren’t going to be too happy with that stripped-down cover.
