Looks like Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa came early this year! Or, if you celebrate Eid al-Fitr, super late! Whatever faith tradition you belong to, we can guarantee you’ll still be baffled by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John‘s video for their new holiday classic “I Think You Might Like It.” Great Christmas song title, you guys! It goes without saying that there is a variety of weirdnesses going on in the self-made video, but we tried to isolate the 10 weirdest for you to wrap your holiday-loving brain around:
We interrupt this programming to show you something that may be considered a little unusual around these parts, but nonetheless hilarious. We’re huge Modern Family fans and we know there are plenty of you out there, fanatical just like us. Best show, ever right? And we adore Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and their little adopted baby girl, Lily — played by the super cute Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. She’s only 5 years old and already she’s an absolute rock star! We watched this video that went totally viral yesterday, of the tyke singing Adele, of all singers! We know, we know, “Someone Like You” is like the most amazingly popular song ever, yada yada yada, and everyone wants to sing it, and everyone has sung it in a drunken karaoke haze. But this is different!
It’s Aubrey, or Lily (if you like to stay in character), happily belted into a car seat, taking on the song like a complete diva. And you know what … she ain’t half bad at all. Adele would be proud! Forget that, Cameron would be proud, if a little miffed that his status as the performer of the house has been revoked. We’re guessing one of her parents uploaded it? The message under the video reads, “Aubrey is crazy into Adele right now which I love. It’s so cute hearing her belt her songs in the car. This is where she likes to sing the most. At first she didn’t know if she wanted to learn this song because she thought it was too slow, but now it’s one of her favorites.” Watch the video, you guys! Good job on the lyrics as well, Aubrey!
