Brad Pitt Refusing To Talk To World War Z Director: Diva Move Or Completely Understandable?

Brad Pitt Not Talking To World War Z Director

Oh, but can’t it be both? While we understand almost all moves made by divas, Brad Pitt‘s alleged decision to stop talking to World War Z director Marc Forster is a head-scratcher indeed. According to Vulture, the actor has become so annoyed with Forster, “he stopped speaking to him altogether as the production heads into at least three weeks of reshoots.” You fool! Don’t you know that communication is the only way to survive a zombie apocalypse…movie? The two apparently communicate via “messages relayed through an intermediary.” Yikes, this movie has been having problems since last October when a SWAT team seized “85 fully functional guns” being unlawfully used as props. Did you hear us? The film has been shooting since last October! In some cases, literally!

All of which makes Pitt’s refusal to talk to Forster make complete and utter sense…if Brad was determined to drag filming out and/or make the situation a whole lot worse. The movie’s budget has apparently ballooned to $170 million, you have weeks of re-shoots and you’re going to make someone run Post-It notes to the director? Brad, baby. Let’s stop this foolishness and go kill some zombies. We promise we’ll all see it when it hits theaters. We’re sure everything will work out just…what’s that? The ending of the movie itself is “still in flux?” Oh. Oh no.

You Only Have Three Years Until Brad Pitt Retires From Acting. What Do You Do?

You had better finish your screenplay for Benjamin Button 2: Electric Button-loo this weekend, because apparently Brad Pitt claimed in an interview that he’ll be out of the movie star game around 2015. “Three years,” the Moneyball star told Australia’s 60 Minutes when asked how long he planned to continue his acting career. “I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise.”

Brad recently wrapped up his upcoming zombie flick World War Z, and still has Voyage of Time and historical drama Twelve Years a Slave on the docket so far. Oh right, and he and Angelina Jolie might be prepping for a seventh child. “I don’t know that we’re finished,” Pitt said when asked if any addition new baby friends would be joining the family soon. “I don’t know yet. I don’t know.” As much as we want, nay need, an additional Jolie-Pitt, three years is not enough to cram in as much Brad to tide us us over forever. If Brad really is bowing out, what do you want to see him do in the next three years?

Brad Pitt’s World War Z Gets Raided By SWAT Team Over Illegal Guns

If we didn’t know better, we’d think this was a news story concocted just to make Brad Pitt’s World War Z movie seem more awesome. Just kidding; what could be more awesome than a zombie apocalypse movie? Literally nothing. Us Weekly reported today that the Moneyball star’s latest movie got raided in Budapest by a SWAT team, after word got out that the production was receiving functional firearms for use on-camera. Oh, also the movie has Brad Pitt in it, which is why all the agents were squealing and giggling when they stormed in.

Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit allegedly removed 85 fully functional guns, which included “automatic, military-style assault rifles” from the film’s warehouse. “We can confirm that weapons were confiscated at an airport,” said unit director Hajdu Janos and deputy director Zsolt Bodnar, adding, “Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.” We’re sure the extras are relieved at least. Terrifying zombie makeup plus workable firearms sounds like a recipe for disaster.
