Black Becomes A Major Trend At VH1 Divas

Black Outfits Trend At VH1 Divas

Black reinstated itself as the it color at VH1 Divas last night at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. It had been relegated into the shadows thanks to the summer brights trend over the last few months. It was the shade to wear as evident by the evidence on the red carpet and on stage!  Stacy Keibler wore it via a Monique Lhullier skintight suit and Jimmy Choo shoes, while Keri Hilson took it on through a Pucci jumpsuit, Christian Louboutin shoes while blinging up with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Demi Lovato wore black with a sweet Topshop dress with lace overlay shoulders while Miley Cyrus not only wore it with lots of metal embellishments on stage, but also as she arrived, in a sexy cut-out Omo by Norma Kamali dress. It’s like those two were at opposite ends of the spectrum with Demi being sugar and Miley being the spice! Ciara was sleek and sexy in a sequined Pamella Roland gown and that’s not all. Jordin Sparks, NeNe Leakes, Amber Riley, Elisha Cuthbert and more wore black to the show making it the biggest trend of the night. Check out our gallery below for all the looks and tell us what you think, and who your favorites are.

Miley Cyrus, Brandy, Kat Graham & More: 10 Most Divalicious Looks On the VH1 DIVAS Carpet

Miley Cyrus, Kat Graham, Demi Lovato, Brandy among the 10 most divalicious on the VH1 Divas carpet.

Onstage at VH1 DIVAS tonight, the name of the game was the glitzier the better, as befits a dance-themed show. But before the likes of Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, Keri Hilson and more hit the stage in their best studded leather and sequins, they all had very different ideas of how to approach the purple carpet. It was just the kind of daring and diversity that makes these artists the perfect guests for a celebration of diva-tude. There was Demi Lovato looking rockabilly cute and Ciara doing old-Hollywood glam. Jordin Sparks and Bootsy Collins sparkled, while Brandy and Kat Graham donned edgy white and ivory.

Whatever their approach, none of these ladies and gentlemen was about to fade into the crowd.

Ciara Takes The High Road, Although We Rather She Didn’t, When Addressing 50 Cent And Chelsea Handler Drama

Ciara Responds To Chelsea Handler Accusations

Perhaps Chelsea Handler isn’t over 50 Cent. It’s the only reason we can come up with that she’s still talking about him all while blaming Ciara for breaking up their friends with benefit situation relationship. Who knew an ex could breakup a, uh, non-existence relationship? Now that Ciara‘s promoting her forthcoming album One Woman Army she hit up Big Boy’s Neighborhood show on Power 106 to discuss the new single “Sorry.” What Big Boy really wanted the tea on how Cici felt about Chelsea’s accusation. And, well, Cici kept it cute … although we secretly wish she hadn’t. Read more…

Whoa…Did Ciara Break Up Chelsea Handler And 50 Cent’s Relationship?

Ciara Allegedly Broke Up Chelsea Handler And 50 CentHuh? Call us crazy, but we always assumed Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent were more of a “friends with benefits” situation than a love match when they were together in 2010. They were always so weird and coy about the whole thing! Just like how we are about our friends with benefits! Uh, we mean… Despite the rumor that emerged last year claiming Chelsea dumped Fif for hotelier Andre Balazs, Handler now allegedly admits that it was Fiddy’s on-going drama with ex-girlfriend Ciara that came between them…and of course it went down right before Chelsea had to interview Ciara on Chelsea Lately in December 2010! See, this is why friends with benefits don’t work! Ciara’s always calling and trying to get back together with them!

“…Ciara–that’s her name!–was coming on the show, and he called me to tell me something about her like she still calls him all the time, and she still tells him that she loves him or something,” Handler allegedly revealed in a recent interview. “He said, ‘I want you to hear this conversation’ and he was like calling someone like a 3-way phone call. I go, ‘So you’re telling me this girl wants to get back together with you, but she’s upset that you’re dating me, is that what you’re saying?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, so I just want you to know when she comes.’” Wait…what? Why would you tell your new lady friend any of that? We’re with Chelsea on this one: “honestly this is like eighth grade s—.” For Chelsea, the fact that Fif would make things that awkward right before Ciara’s visit was the last straw. “I think I called him the worst thing you could say to a black person short of calling him the N-word. I said something like you’re like a street person basically. Something along the lines of being a gangster, and it was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again,” admits Handler. Yikes! Well, we hope it was all worth it, Ciara and Fiddy. They immediately got married after this went down, right?

Rihanna’s 10 Best Twitter Slams And Comebacks Of All Time

Rihanna's 10 Greatest Twitter Comebacks

Rihanna is definitely one lady you do not want to mess with on Twitter. She’ll deliver verbal smack-downs, comebacks and barbs that will make you cry if aimed at you, and cry with laughter if they’re not! British broadcaster Piers Morgan learned that the hard way last night by tweeting something nasty about the singer’s new short hairdo. ” Ps I think @Rihanna needs to grow her hair back. Fast,” he wrote. The singer responded swiftly be saying that he needed to “grow a d–k…FAST.” Boom, y’all. He played with fire, and he got burned. We could have told you that would happen, Piers. She’s the Oscar Wilde of Twitter, giving us some hilariously quotable gems that never fail to make us smile. Check out some of our favorites below!

10. One snarky (or maybe just helpful?) fan wrote to Rihanna saying “Umm…u do know ur boobs r hanging out in like all of ur videos…right? #JustCheckin…”

MTV Movie Awards: The 10 Worst-Dressed Ladies Include Some Surprises

MTV Movie Awards Worst Dressed

We feel really bad for the ladies on the worst-dressed list at the MTV Movie Awards. A couple of tweaks to their outfits and they could have been on the best-dressed list, easily. None of the looks in this selection are heinous, except a few. Brooke Hogan would be one of the few. We can’t even begin to deal with her bedazzled, stomach-baring WTF of an ensemble. Another, would be Ciara, whose red Balmain mini-dress crosses the line from sexy short to wardrobe malfunction short. We get that the deep neckline and little skirt slit are supposed to be artful, but they looked ripped. Julianne Hough should be given the memo that a peplum is not necessary for everything. Especially not ’80s looking lace Sally LaPointe cut-out dress. They make the dancer look boxy when we know she isn’t at all. Bad silhouette.

Now on to the ones we truly feel sad about. We love Christina Ricci, but we feel she’s got so tiny that nothing fits her right anymore. Her Christian Siriano strapless number would have looked awesome if she could fill it out a little. As a result, the fabric swamps her and it, somehow, looks synthetic. Lucy Hale fell prey to that same problem. Her color-blocked Catherine Malandrino dress just didn’t sit right on her, which is shame, because Lucy is so lovely! We also beat our heads about Elizabeth Banks, whose sartorial flag normally flies high. We just coudn’t get on board with her black Elie Saab jumpsuit. The detail down the arms and bodice looked … spidery. Look, weird fashion stuff can also be amazing when people own it. She’s trying desperately to own this — we love the makeup and hair — but the outfit has run away with her. Better luck next time. That applies to all these ladies. Have a look at the gallery to see who else is on the list.

Rihanna, Ke$ha Rock That Cave Lady Fashion

Between Rihanna slipping into a pelt while leaving Nozomi in London, Ke$ha sporting a white fur to attend Terry Richardson‘s gallery opening in New York and Kelly Rowland wearing all those…creatures while visiting The X-Factor studios, we’d say it’s official: gigantic fur vests mean cave lady fashion is in for Fall/Winter 2011 in a mammoth way. Speaking of mammoths, these lovely ladies and their extremely warm torsos aren’t the only celebs who look like they should be accessorizing with a a club, Fred Flintstone-style. Check out a few furry fashions that are currently making these ladies’ Bedrock:
