Angry Axl Rose Doesn’t Want Any Part In Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Ceremony

The fact that those Lana del Rey dating Axl Rose rumors are dying down, doesn’t mean that the Guns n’ Roses singer isn’t capable of generating news on his own. We always knew that the original members had major issues with each other but we didn’t know that it would escalate to this level. GNR are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this weekend, but Axl has refused to take any part in the ceremony and doesn’t even want to be inducted in absentia.

Axl sent a long, strongly-worded letter to “The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Guns N’ Roses Fans and Whom It May Concern” explaining his stance. For the record, Slash knows that matters between him and the singer are pretty much kaput, having said recently to Rolling Stone,”[Axl] hates my guts … It’s over a lot of different stuff; I don’t even know. There’s just no communication between us.” The full letter is published on TMZ but here are some excerpts. The “we” he keeps talking about is Axl’s camp.

• “Under the circumstances I feel we’ve been polite, courteous, and open to an amicable solution in our efforts to work something out. Taking into consideration the history of Guns N’ Roses, those who plan to attend along with those the Hall for reasons of their own, have chosen to include in “our” induction (that for the record are decisions I don’t agree with, support or feel the Hall has any right to make), and how (albeit no easy task) those involved with the Hall have handled things… no offense meant to anyone but the Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony doesn’t appear to be somewhere I’m actually wanted or respected.” Read more…

Lana Del Rey Is Just Messing With Us, Isn’t She?

So, after Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba denied that Axl Rose is dating Lana Del Rey, despite the fact that the two were seen leaving L.A.’s Chateau Marmont together last week, Del Rey herself seems to be muddying the waters here. She was seen performing at London’s Jazz Cafe and later arriving at London hotspot Shoreditch House wearing a GNR T-shirt and grinning mischievously, leaving us all to wonder if:

A) They are dating, and Axl doesn’t really feel the need to share everything with his bandmembers.

B) She’s just a really big fan, as she indicated with her song, “Axl Rose Husband.”

C) She’s just f—ing with us all.

Those Lana Del Rey/ Axl Rose Dating Rumors Are False, Says All That Is Holy

Any way they’re just dating ironically? Rumors have been swirling about a potential Axl Rose/Lana Del Rey love match after Lana was spotted rocking out at two consecutive Guns N’ Roses concerts in L.A. recently; the pair were most recently seen climbing into the same SUV and leaving Chateau Marmont together last Friday. Um, hoo boy. Uh…maybe Axl just wanted to name of Lana’s colorist? Or to exchange deep conditioning tips? Or to make the moms of the world gasp audibly, then clutch the front of their blouses while shaking their heads in disappointment?

Luckily for us and/or our lunches, Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba says the two singers are not bumping strawberry blond uglies. On a related note, we are so, so sorry for that mental image. “I don’t think they’re dating,” Ashba scoffed to TMZ. If you’re thinking their alleged canoodling sounds like, well, the premise of a Lana Del Rey song, you are frighteningly correct. Turns out, Del Rey had previously recorded a little ditty entitled “Axl Rose Husband,” which makes this whole thing feel something ripped from Satan’s vision board. Oh, of course the Lord of the Underworld uses The Secret; how else would these two crazy kids have even met?

Axl Rose Punches Photographer At LAX

Axl Rose reaffirmed his legendary antipathy for photographers by giving one a beatdown at LAX Wednesday night. The Guns N’ Roses singer was headed to Taipei, Japan (the first stop of the band’s upcoming tour of Southeast Asia) when some paparazzi got too close to his ladyfriends. In a video acquired by TMZ, the singer can be seen warning “touch her again, I’ll break his f—ing neck!” before scurrying to the offending photog and knocking him to the ground with a punch to the face. Despite airport personnel witnessing the hit—and the couple of kicks from Axl that followed—police were never notified and the singer promptly went through the security check, eventually letting us know he was unhurt in a MySpace post (whew!). The victim of Axl’s anger has yet to be identified, but odds are we haven’t heard the last of this.

Guns N’ Roses To Return Nov. 23, But Only At Best Buy

Over fifteen years after the release of Guns N’ Roses‘ last studio album, The Spaghetti Incident?, a very-kinda-plausible-maybe-we’ll-see release date has been announced for their new album, according to Billboard. On November 23rd, the decade-plus-in-the-making Chinese Democracy will be released exclusively to Best Buy. And what could be more rock and roll than that.

One of tracks that recently leaked to the internet, “If The World,” will run over the closing credits of Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio‘s new movie, Body Of Lies. It’s a good fit, as the song sounds vaguely like Crowe and DiCaprio—respectively made to look like J.T. Walsh and covered in dyed-black goatee, mind you—sliding naked into a hot tub in Cabo and making bubbles for five minutes. It’s really that bad. But feel free to check out the movie or roll down to Best Buy (Wooo! Best Buy! F*ckin’ wyld!) next month and find out for yourself.
