Rihanna is back and in the full swing of things again. After Rihanna’s shocking 20/20 interview, where she spoke publicly for the first time about Chris Brown beating her, now she is back to doing what she does best: performing for a packed crowd! RiRi made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z‘s concert at UCLA last night, and belted out Run This Town with the rapper. Go Rihanna!
Good Morning America played more clips from Diane Sawyer‘s interview with Rihanna today, in which the star described what happened the night she was beaten by then-boyfriend Chris Brown. “I caught him in a lie,” she said, confirming the fight began over a text he’d received from another woman, “and he wouldn’t tell the truth…I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me, and he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it…it was ugly.” As detailed in the police report, the ugliness quickly turned physical, with Brown punching her in the face and biting her shoulder.
Though she does not believe Brown planned to act on his threat to kill her (“I know he was saying it to scare me”), Rihanna denies that the violence went both ways. “I fended him off with my feet from one side of the car, but it was not like a fight with each other. I just really wanted it to stop.” A bystander eventually called 911 after hearing her screams. “It was not the same person that says ‘I love you.’ It was not those eyes,” she said. “He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank…there was no person when I looked at him.” The full interview airs tonight on ABC’s 20/20.

Rihanna may not be laying the hate on Chris Brown in her emotional interviews, but they certainly aren’t helping him sell tickets. The New York Daily News reports that sales have been sluggish for his upcoming “Fan Appreciation” tour, with neither his opening Houston or closing New York gigs approaching sell-out status.
The paper’s music industry source explains the obvious: “Chris lost a lot of fans after he assaulted Rihanna. And after that whole scandal, he’s not exactly kid-friendly. What parent would buy their children tickets to his concert?” While his “I Can Transform Ya” single is in the top 30, the recent reminders of his crimes may keep people from wanting to cheer in person.

In emotional footage from Rihanna‘s upcoming interview with Diane Sawyer, the singer explains it was her fans that made her realize that reuniting with Chris Brown after he violently assaulted her last February was a mistake. “I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong,” she said in a clip aired on Good Morning America today. “It’s completely normal to go back. It’s not right. I learned the hard way, but again, this is what I want people to know. When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for going back.”
Rihanna fought tears as she further explained herself. “Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say that they won’t kill these girls? These are young girls and I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened…[it's] embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with. So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.”
The full interview airs Friday night on ABC’s 20/20. MTV will air an exclusive interview with Brown that night at 6.
When we travel, we normally bust out some sweats and flip flops and skip on the shower. But when Rihanna hops on a plane she still somehow manages to look chic, stylish and comfortable. Life is so cruel! The songbird strutted her stuff after arriving at LAX yesterday, in a gray over-sized hoodie and slicked back hair (check out photos of Rihanna’s hottest hairstyles and recent pics of Rihanna braless and baring her midriff).
All eyes and ears are on Rihanna this week, as her sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer – in which she discusses her abusive relationship with Chris Brown – airs tomorrow morning. [Photo: Splash News Online]
While still rockin’ her debatably hideous bleached mohawk, Rihanna stepped out in NYC last night sans bra. She also gave us a good look at her toned tummy and a sneak peek of some black undies. RiRi topped off the whole ensemble with some leopard prints pumps. Blending in just ain’t her style.

Mariah Carey has publicly expressed her dislike of Jennifer Lopez, but is there another diva who rubs Mrs. Nick Cannon the wrong way? According to the New York Post, Mariah and Rihanna, “refused to talk or be photographed together at a Halloween bash” and “worked hard to upstage each other at Carey’s party at M2 Ultralounge.”
Riri, dressed as a tiger, reportedly stayed with her pals, including singer Ne-Yo, in a booth and wouldn’t cross the dance floor to pay her respects. Meanwhile, Mariah stayed in her VIP area with hubby Nick Cannon, and when she had to use the ladies room, security had to clear a path so no one would damage her giant angel wings. According to Mariah’s rep, however, the whole story is fabricated. “There were 1,000 people there and, of course, she needed security. She heard a rumor that Rihanna was there but she never saw her. She loves Rihanna and of course would have said hello.” So what do you think? All made up or do these divas have real beef with each other? [Source: New York Post; Photo: Getty Images]
Rihanna may finally be speaking to the press about her relationship with Chris Brown, but she isn’t telling everyone the same story. The singer is set to explain what happened between them that night before the Grammies in a two-part interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC (the first on Good Morning America this Thursday, follow by a 20/20 spot Friday night), with promos announcing that Brown was “her first big love.” But according to her interview in the new issue of Glamour, she’s never been in love at all.
When asked where she saw herself in ten years, Rihanna told the magazine, “I hope I find love in the next 10 years – that will be pretty annoying if I am 31 and still have never been in love!” But no matter how she felt about Brown before, she hopes her traumatic experience can help others. “Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”

Rihanna is an undeniable style icon. We already took a look at 30 of Rihanna’s Hottest Outfits, but strutting her stuff in the sexiest looks right off the runway is not the only thing she has mastered. You cannot even talk about RiRi without mentioning it. That’s right — we’re talking about Rihanna’s fierce, magically-morphing hair.
In the last few months Rihanna has stepped out with some pretty epic ‘dos that seem to be ever changing and evolving. But a couple weeks ago, we weren’t sure if things took a turn for the worst when RiRi was spotted sporting a long bleached mohawk. We asked you to vote on whether this fashion forward pop star had finally gone too far and while your results were mixed, we are not yet prepared to insult her bold decisions. In our eyes, Rihanna could mix actual garbage into an up ‘do and we’d still be huge fans.

Chris Brown, convicted of beating Rihanna, appeared to have met his match in “bad girl” Natalie Nunn, star of “The Bad Girls Club,” which deals with girls with “behavioral issues.” The ex-UCLA ball player lists in her bio for the show that she “enjoys cruising in her sugar daddies expensive cars and painting the town red with her cool celebrity friends.” Looked like a match made in heaven, but Chris Brown took to his Twitter to deny the whole thing. “Tmz…omg,” Chris wrote to the gossip site, “U guys have nothing better to do. And by the way. I don’t mess wit that girl.” [Source: TMZ; Photo: Getty Images]
