Could Rihanna and Chris Brown really be so desperate to get around the restraining order he’s been slapped with that they’ll try and meet up in a different country? That’s the latest story coming out about the are-they-aren’t-they couple, claiming that they’re planning a vacation to Acapulco, Mexico, next month in order to circumnavigate the order that bans Chris from coming within 50 yards of Ri in the next five years in the U.S.
“They spoke to their lawyers to see what was allowed, and are now planning two weeks in Mexico. They want to spend some quality time together and know they have a lot to reconcile before they can make their relationship public again,” claims British celebrity mag Star.
Chris has famously already stated that he still “loves” the woman he beat up and choked that night back in February, and rumors have constantly swirled that the two still had feelings for each other and had already hooked up. Are they really going to make a go of it again? We guess only time will tell. [Photo: WireImage]
Chris Brown has been working on repairing his public image, but someone should tell him there are certain topics, like dissing Oprah, that won’t win him any fans. The singer mouthed off yesterday about Winfrey because the talk show host filmed a show about domestic abuse that was inspired by Rihanna. Brown took offense to the fact that Oprah didn’t include him in the show, saying: “I commend Oprah on being like ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘Okay, I’m going to help both of these people out.” Hey Chris, you know what was a slap in the face to Rihanna? You slapping her in the face. We can understand why Oprah, a victim of abuse herself, would opt not to include you.
Of course, Oprah is not one to sit idly while being criticized, a rep for her released this statement after hearing Brown’s complaint. “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school but she takes domestic violence very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.” Advantage, Oprah. Care to take another swing, Chris? [Photo: Getty Images and WireImage; Source: TMZ]
Chris Brown taped a much-anticipated and much-speculated about interview with Larry King last week and it finally aired last night. Brown dressed in his Sunday best blue bow tie, sat with his mother Joyce and his lawyer, and answered most questions honestly, expressing his relief that the media spectacle surrounding him was winding down. As remorseful as he seemed, he opted not to go into details about the night of his fight with Rihanna. Brown acknowledged the abuse and confessed that he loves Rihanna and is still in love with her, despite the protection order that separates them. When King asked Brown why he was violent and what the cause of the fight was, Brown refused to answer “out of respect for [Rihanna's] privacy”, but we feel it was more likely out of embarrassment for whatever actually transpired.
Brown also claims not to remember doing what he did the night of the Grammy’s, and his mother said she was shocked because, despite the reports that Brown and Rihanna had a history of violence between them, she says they never had any previous altercations. (Brown said of the incidents “I’m not aware of those.”) While the answers Chris provides are not terribly revealing, King does ask pointed questions and shows Brown the pictures of a battered Rihanna and it’s clear that he knows what he did was wrong, but it’s nothing we didn’t hear from his taped video apology, honestly. Brown’s mother proved to be more emotional and revealing, discussing her own relationship with Rihanna and her personal history of violence.
This situation is obviously something people have already made up their minds about — Brown does regret it though and emphasizes how wrong it was. Does the interview succeed in changing the public’s opinion about him?

After admitting he still loves Rihanna, Chris Brown touched down in Virginia last night to begin six months of hard labor for his assault on Rihanna. While in Virginia, he will also be taking a domestic violence course.
Yesterday, Chris insisted that the statement that he “didn’t remember” beating up Rihanna was taken out of context during his interview with Larry King. Chris released a statement explaining that he did in fact remember the incident. “Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.” [Photo: Splash News Online]
Six months after the infamous late-night fight between Chris Brown and Rihanna, Chris is finally speaking out and in a new interview he reveals that he still loves Rihanna.
“I never fell out of love with her, that just wouldn’t go away,” Chris says. Chris also shares that the first person he called after the incident was his mom. “I was distraught…I went to my mom on the same night and told her what happened and broke down,” he says.

“Project Runway’s” Nina Garcia said recently that the ’80s are back. So are the ’60s, ’70s and ’90s. But whatever. The new cover of Italian Vogue, featuring Rihanna splashing water from a bucket instead of blocking it with her umbrella, definitely looks like a throwback to ’80s style icon Grace Jones.
In the shoot, by Steven Klein, Rihanna has the same angular makeup, including Grace’s patented Cat Eye on Steroids look. Rihanna also sports a Grace Jones-like vertical hairdo and even a similar badass glare. Now if someone could just get Rihanna to recreate this iconic image, we could die happy. [Photo: Vogue Italia]
What would you do after you just received a sentencing of probation and community labor for assaulting Rihanna? Hang your head in shame or go home and think about how it all got to this? If you’re Chris Brown, you head over to Hollywood club Guys and Dolls to rock it out!
Chris showed up at the lounge just hours after receiving his sentence, and danced to Michael Jackson‘s song Dirty Diana. What would the King of Pop have to say about all this?
“He didn’t seem to care at all that everyone was watching him,” says a source. “He was in a totally good mood, just hanging out with his buddies. Then all of a sudden he decided to put on a little show. Everyone went wild.” [Photo: Getty Images]
Chris Brown showed up in court yesterday to be sentenced in his domestic violence case against Rihanna. The disgraced star landed five years of probation and 180 hours of community labor for assaulting his former girlfriend after the Grammy awards this past February. What’s more, despite those rumors that the ex-lovebirds had been hooking up, he was ordered to maintain a 100 yard distance from Ri until 2014, reduced to 10 yards at industry events – and faces potential jail time if this is violated.
Most shockingly however, was the detail released that this attack wasn’t the first violent altercation between the pair. Three months before, Brown shoved Rihanna into a wall during an argument after she hit him, and two months after that, he smashed the windows in her Range Rover when they were fighting in Barbados. Neither of these altercations were reported to police at the time. He’s already apologized on YouTube, but we hope those hours of trash pickup give Chris some space to think through what he’s done. Maybe Chris Brown is finding better ways to handle his anger. The singer was filming a new music video late last night in Hollywood, decked out in a necklace that said OOPS and a Billionaire Boys Club hat.
While riding in a Jeep with some bootylicious hotties (all for the video shoot, natch), an angry Rihanna fan pulled up next to Chris when his car stopped at the corner of Whitley and Hollywood. The fan yelled, “Why did you beat up Rihanna?!” but Chris did not respond aggressively. The fan tells TheFABlife, “I was shocked. He reached out of the Jeep and fist-bumped me!” Maybe those anger management classes are working! [Photos: Splash News Online]
