Six months after the infamous late-night fight between Chris Brown and Rihanna, Chris is finally speaking out and in a new interview he reveals that he still loves Rihanna.
“I never fell out of love with her, that just wouldn’t go away,” Chris says. Chris also shares that the first person he called after the incident was his mom. “I was distraught…I went to my mom on the same night and told her what happened and broke down,” he says.
Chris insists he feels shame for his actions and will never hit a woman again. What do you think – is Chris a changed man? [Source: People; Photo: Getty Images]
“Project Runway’s” Nina Garcia said recently that the ’80s are back. So are the ’60s, ’70s and ’90s. But whatever. The new cover of Italian Vogue, featuring Rihanna splashing water from a bucket instead of blocking it with her umbrella, definitely looks like a throwback to ’80s style icon Grace Jones.
In the shoot, by Steven Klein, Rihanna has the same angular makeup, including Grace’s patented Cat Eye on Steroids look. Rihanna also sports a Grace Jones-like vertical hairdo and even a similar badass glare. Now if someone could just get Rihanna to recreate this iconic image, we could die happy. [Photo: Vogue Italia]
What would you do after you just received a sentencing of probation and community labor for assaulting Rihanna? Hang your head in shame or go home and think about how it all got to this? If you’re Chris Brown, you head over to Hollywood club Guys and Dolls to rock it out!
Chris showed up at the lounge just hours after receiving his sentence, and danced to Michael Jackson‘s song Dirty Diana. What would the King of Pop have to say about all this?
“He didn’t seem to care at all that everyone was watching him,” says a source. “He was in a totally good mood, just hanging out with his buddies. Then all of a sudden he decided to put on a little show. Everyone went wild.” [Photo: Getty Images]
Chris Brown showed up in court yesterday to be sentenced in his domestic violence case against Rihanna. The disgraced star landed five years of probation and 180 hours of community labor for assaulting his former girlfriend after the Grammy awards this past February. What’s more, despite those rumors that the ex-lovebirds had been hooking up, he was ordered to maintain a 100 yard distance from Ri until 2014, reduced to 10 yards at industry events – and faces potential jail time if this is violated.
Most shockingly however, was the detail released that this attack wasn’t the first violent altercation between the pair. Three months before, Brown shoved Rihanna into a wall during an argument after she hit him, and two months after that, he smashed the windows in her Range Rover when they were fighting in Barbados. Neither of these altercations were reported to police at the time. He’s already apologized on YouTube, but we hope those hours of trash pickup give Chris some space to think through what he’s done. Maybe Chris Brown is finding better ways to handle his anger. The singer was filming a new music video late last night in Hollywood, decked out in a necklace that said OOPS and a Billionaire Boys Club hat.
While riding in a Jeep with some bootylicious hotties (all for the video shoot, natch), an angry Rihanna fan pulled up next to Chris when his car stopped at the corner of Whitley and Hollywood. The fan yelled, “Why did you beat up Rihanna?!” but Chris did not respond aggressively. The fan tells TheFABlife, “I was shocked. He reached out of the Jeep and fist-bumped me!” Maybe those anger management classes are working! [Photos: Splash News Online]
This month’s coming “X-Factor” looks to be the most celeb packed ever, after the news that not only will Kate Moss be helping select the finalists but superstars Madonna, Rihanna and Whitney Houston are also to be mentors to the contestants this year.
Kate’s set to appear at the “judge’s houses” element of the singing show, where the 24 finalists become 12, and Britney Spears‘ former choreographer Brian Friedman who works on the show, has spilled the beans about the A-list mentors. “Brian is really excited about this year’s show because there are some great artists involved. He is proud to be part of it and admires Simon’s ability to attract A-listers,” the Sun reports.

Rihanna had quite a trendy Tuesday in New York City yesterday, starting off the day shopping at Barney’s New York in a cute black and floral print Rag & Bone dress and then working it in a black strapless ruffled mini dress and animal print cuff when she partied at Greenhouse that night. Riri spent the evening celebrating her publicist’s birthday at the downtown hotspot and posed for photos with her group. [Photos: Splash News Online]
One of the things we love most about pop culture is the surprising stuff that happens all the time. At the beginning of 2009, who’d have predicted that SJP would be the mom to girl twins, or that the Rihanna and Chris Brown scandal would have happened? On a less serious note, we’re now reeling from the fact that Sienna Miller has got a number one movie, and that Katie Price‘s ex, Peter Andre is heading for number one in the UK charts.
Despite GI Joe garnering terrible reviews, the action movie has raked in the dollars to reach the top spot – something which the actress, whose past movies include Alfie, Factory Girl and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (eeek) has got to be relieved about. And Peter, who for years was a byword in the UK for a lame, has-been popstar, is selling his comeback solo single so well there’s talk of it beating the Black Eyed Peas to number one. Stick that in your pipe, Katie, and smoke it. [Photos: Getty Images Entertainment, WireImage]
Rihanna must really be a forgiving lady, because she wants to eliminate the order of protection placed on Chris Brown by the courts. Under the current order, Brown must stay at least 50 yards away from the singer unless they are at a music event. Ri-Ri wants to lessen his punishment by requesting a level-one protection order instead. Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra explains, “That order would prevent Chris from annoying, molesting or harassing her.”
Basically, it’s the “Don’t make me send you to your room” policy our parents enforced between us and our siblings. In addition to the restraining/don’t bug me order, Brown was sentenced to five years’ probation, 180 days of community service and ordered to participate in an anti-domestic violence program.
This new development only stokes the rumors that Rihanna and Brown are trying to rekindle their romance, but of course maybe Rihanna is just the world’s friendliest, most forgiving person. [Photo: GettyImages]
