Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Adopted Brother/Boyfriend Nick Gordon Seems Well Adjusted, Tweets Gun Photo

It had been a while since we’d heard from Bobbi Kristina Brown and her adopted brother/boyfriend Nick Gordon. But we hoped that they were happy, doing all the fun things that siblings/a young couple do when they’re in love. You know: Picnics in the park, row boats on the pond, driving around with a firearm. Well, we’re pleased to report that the lovebirds are indeed doing one of those things, at least! Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s troubled daughter tweeted a picture yesterday of Nick cruising the streets while brandishing a gun. The post has since been deleted so we sadly can’t get any more facts, such as why he was cruising the streets with said gun in the first place. It definitely brings new meaning to “defensive driving.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown Gets A Tattoo To Celebrate Mom Whitney Houston’s 49th Birthday


Bobbi Kristina Brown has taken to ink and needle to honor her mother’s on what would’ve been Whitney Houston’s 49th birthday today. Late on Wednesday, the budding singer/actress had the initials WH and four doves tattooed on her wrist in a body art parlor in Atlanta. Houston’s 19-year-old daughter commemorated her mom’s b-day alongside her 22-year-old boyfriend/adopted brother Nick Gordon (yes, that’s still happening). Nick likewise showed his love for the legendary singer by also tattooing a matching design. The pair told the Twitterverse about their tattoo plans and shared a picture of their finished products. Bobbi Kristina tweeted: ”On the way with MYbooboo @nickdgordon :) heading2 #Inksomnia for our TATTSSS !this is for you mommy (: we love you, happybirthday OurladyXxo.” She followed up with a tweet today, writing: ”Tat tat tatted YURP.. ;) now your truly ALWAYS with us mommy (: we love you @nickdgordon always&forever.”

Meanwhile, another late megastar’s famous daughter has also taken to Twitter to discuss impending plans of getting a tattoo in honor of her late father. On Tuesday, Paris Jackson tweeted: “i kinda want to get August XXIX tatted on my back..” August XXIX stands for her father Michael Jackson’s birthday (August 29) and would serve as a permanent reminder of the king of pop.

Getting a tattoos is sometimes a risky thing, but in these cases, we are completely onboard. We are sure Whitney is looking down and smiling at her daughter today. R.I.P., Whitney Houston, and happy birthday!

Peep Beyonce, Soulja Boy And All The Other Celebs Crying During BET Awards Whitney Tribute

The stars were out last night at the BET Awards to celebrate some of the biggest names in music. But there was not one person in the audience that didn’t get emotional during a 20-minute tribute to the late Whitney Houston, who died in February at age 48. Mariah Carey introduced Monica, who completely rocked a rendition of “I Love the Lord,” and then Brandy kicked off the party with “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Later Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, took the stage and we already felt the tears welling up in our eyes. We knew already to expect greatness from the soul and gospel singer as she began singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” She dedicated the song to her late daughter saying, “This is for you, Nip.”  That’s when the tears really started to flow. A beautiful teary-eyed Beyoncé was caught on camera as well as Soulja Boy not afraid to show his emotional side. Kanye West was also shown to be deeply invested in the song.

Jordin Sparks’ Sparkle Fashion Makes Us Want To “Celebrate” Too

For a while now, we’ve been thinking of Sparkle as “the movie that makes us really sad about Whitney Houston.” We probably weren’t alone, which is why the release of Jordin Sparks’ video for the soundtrack single “Celebrate” was a brilliant move. The movie pays touching homage to Whitney, who plays mother to a 1960s girl group, while also urging us to brush off those sad feelings and get up and dance. By the end, we not only want to go out and see the movie, starring Sparks, Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter, we want to go shopping and buy all of their dresses first. The video intercuts scenes from the movie with new scenes in which the girls, plus co-stars Mike Epps, Omari Hardwick, Derek Luke and a few others, party in updated but vintage-inspired dresses and suits.

Sparks is flirty and fun in the orange cocktail dress above (with Derek Luke as the perfect accessory!). We love the modern cut mixed with that mod-’60s tailoring and bow in the back.

Bobbi Kristina Is A No-Show At Father Bobby Brown’s Wedding In Hawaii

Bobby Brown married to his manager Alicia Etheredge yesterday at a ceremony in Hawaii while on tour with his group New Edition. We’re guessing the couple have a soft spot for concerts, considering Bobby proposed to her in the middle of a 2010 Florida gig! “I got my passion back for music and for loving myself because of her,” he told People back in 2011. Brown dressed down for the occasion, wearing a fly red tracksuit and white sneakers that matched his new wife’s gorgeous cream-colored gown. They were surrounded by family, including Brown’s children Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, and 3 year old Cassius, who served as the ring bearer.

But as with most things in the Brown family these days, it wasn’t a totally joyous occasion. Bobbi Kristina, Bobby’s 19-year-old daughter with the late diva Whitney Houston, was not there to see his dad tie the knot. Reportedly there’s a lot of bad blood between the two at the moment, and she opted to remain in NYC to shoot her reality show The Houston Chronicles instead.

Bobbi Kristina Walks Off Set Of Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse: Report

Weeks after making a rare public appearance onstage at the Billboard Music Awards to accept an award on mother Whitney Houston’s behalf, Bobbi Kristina Brown is apparently not doing so hot. Radar reports that the 19-year-old walked off the set of Tyler Perry’s TBS sitcom For Better or Worse, on which she was making her acting debut in a recurring role, and broke down in tears. She’s taped a few episodes, a source said, but has decided not to do any more.

“Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it,” the source told Radar. “She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn’t handle doing the show right now. She’s still mourning her mom.”

We’ll wait and see if any of this story gets official confirmation from the show, which is scheduled to return for its second season in July. Perry and company will probably have to do some last-minute scrambling to rewrite the show — but maybe they should have had a plan B prepared, considering the state we’ve heard Bobbi Kristina’s been in since her mother’s death in February.

Ray J Hospitalized For Exhaustion — Not Necessarily Caused By Houston Family Scuffles

These are probably not the kind of headlines Ray J wanted to be making. Early yesterday morning, just as rumors were circulating about Whitney Houston’s ex-boyfriend almost getting into a scuffle with Pat Houston in the middle of the Billboard Music Awards, the singer was apparently checking into a hospital in Las Vegas. He is being treated for “exhaustion and jet lag,” a rep told E! Online.

As much as we always assume “exhaustion” is a code word for some kind of substance abuse — especially after the kind of accusations Houston’s family has been throwing around of Ray J being responsible for getting her hooked on cocaine again — one glimpse at his schedule makes us think this might be a legit excuse. Before the Billboard Awards, Ray had reportedly been on a 32-hour round trip to China, where he performed in a concert and then had some meetings “regarding a new business,” according to Radar Online. He drove four hours from L.A. to Vegas for the show, which included a very moving tribute to his ex, and then hosted an afterparty to launch Prince Reigns hair serum. Take a breather, Ray J. No hair product deal can be worth your health!

Did We Narrowly Miss A Fight Between Ray J And Whitney Houston’s Family Last Night?

As a former reality star and Whitney Houston‘s on-again, off-again boyfriend, rapper Ray J is undoubtedly used to his fair share of drama. That being say, we doubt he often finds himself dealing with drama this…unseemly. According to TMZ, Ray J and Houston’s family allegedly almost got into a brawl at the Billboard Music Awards last night after Pat Houston demanded that security remove Whitney’s ex from his seat. Brandy‘s brother refused to move, and it wasn’t until security pointed out that any kind of physical fight would end up on TV that Pat Houston reluctantly retracted her demand. Jeez. Makes Ray J’s DIY porn stardom with Kim Kardashian look downright dignified, doesn’t it?

So why was Whitney’s sister-in-law/manager so determined to get Ray J kicked out of the event, which included a tribute to the late, great singer by Jordin Sparks? Allegedly Pat and the family hold Ray J somewhat responsible for Whitney’s drug abuse. Earlier this spring, Ray J found himself dodging accusations from Bobby Brown’s sister Leorah Brown, who claimed that he was Houston’s “runner boy” and provided singer with cocaine, a drug that played a significant role in her drowning death. “Pat ruined what was a great opportunity to honor the woman who I loved,” Ray J allegedly complained to friends after the awards show was over. No, no, no, an insane televised fistfight would have ruined the opportunity. This just makes everyone feel like they need to take a shower…

Whitney Houston’s Family Signs A Reality Show Contract For Lifetime Television

Errr, can we get a “too soon?” Just a few short months after Whitney Houston’s untimely death, the diva’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has just inked a deal with Lifetime television to star in a new reality series, The Houston Family Chronicles. According to TMZ, the show will also feature Whitney’s sister-in-law/manager Pat Houston, Pat’s daughter Rayah, Whitney’s brother Gary, and their mother Cissy. It’s rumored that Whitney’s famous cousin Dionne Warwick will also be making an appearance.

“In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow,” said Lifetime EVP Rob Sharenow in a statement. The ten hour-long episodes will follow Pat and Gary “as they take on their greatest challenge, supporting and guiding Bobbi Kristina as she faces the world alone, without the one person she relied on the most, her mother.” We can’t help but feel like it sounds like an exploitative cash-in to us. Or at least some long forgotten episode of Masterpiece Theater. No word on when The Houston Family Chronicles is set to premiere, but do you think you’ll be tuning in? Bobby Brown Says He’s Still Loves Whitney Houston “To This Day”

We already gave you a preview of Bobby Brown’s interview with Today’s Matt Lauer, in which the singer attempts to clear his name by dispelling the age-old rumors that he was the cause of Whitney Houston’s addiction. Now we have video of the sitdown, and it’s, of course, even more heartbreaking. In addition to recounting how well she looked the week prior to her death, he tells Lauer that he still asks himself if he could have helped her more.

“Maybe I could have done something different. You know?” he says. “To ensure she had a longer life. But you have to want it.”

Although happily engaged, he had no qualms expressing the love he had for his ex-wife of 14 years. Brown’s perception is that the couple had a great and “beautiful” relationship. “I can honestly say that I loved that woman with everything that I am,” he admitted. “I truly and genuinely love that woman. And I still love her to this day.” He said it’s no secret (not even to his fiancee) how he felt about Whitney. “I was in love with her deeply,” he says of his late ex.

It’s commendable for Brown to take the high road by only having good things to say about Houston. From the outside looking in the couple may have appeared to be a little rough around the edges. But that’s not to say the love they had for each other wasn’t real. Take a look at the couple during the happier times of their marriage.
