The Twins Are Here! Mariah Carey Gives Birth!

We’re going to miss the pregnancy art she and her bump gave us, because Mariah Carey has popped her twins! Which also means that Nick Cannon doesn’t have to rap to unborn children anymore. He can rhyme them to sleep every night, and then record himself so they have his pearls of wisdom on loop on their diamond iPods! Which they’ll listen to while chilling in their luxury cribs, of course. Hello, twins! You’re going to have an amazeballs life with your diva mommy and that funny guy who keeps poking his head in. That’s really your daddy. And we’re the random people who are totally excited to see your first pictures!

The twins arrived on Saturday at 9.07 am, FYI. Which was the 30th of April, which is now doubly significant for the couple because it’s also their anniversary! An ecstatic Nick tweeted, “My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life! I won’t ever be able to top this!” That he won’t because twins are hard to top! But this is Nick and Mariah, people. It don’t stop. Nick’s Twitter account also revealed that they renewed their vows in the hospital. Cannon tweeted, “Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!” And we found out who helped them, through Twitter again of course. The Rev. Al Sharpton tweeted about how he helped bless the babies and renewed their vows, writing, “I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks GREAT, and the babies are beautiful.” What more can we say…. congratulations to this new family!

Amber Rose And Coco Get Close At Good Hair Premiere

Coco & Amber Rose

Is there such a thing as too much arm candy? Amber Rose and Coco, best known for respectively standing next to Kanye West and Ice-T on red carpets, got rather affectionate at an afterparty for Chris Rock‘s Good Hair in NY last night. Sadly, Mr. “I’d Do Anything For A Blonde Dyke” West wasn’t there to enjoy the moment, but stars ranging from Al Sharpton to Adrian Grenier to Ashanti (and a pregnant Padma Lakshmi!) were in attendance for the screening. Think anyone knew about that $5 million lawsuit against the film?

Check out who else showed up in the gallery below.

Chris Brown’s BET Awards Performance Cancelled After Protest

It’s a rough time for Chris Brown, and it seems like while there are some people (Rihanna) who can forgive him of his transgressions, there are others who still hold grudges. Brown was set to perform at the BET Awards on Sunday but certain influential folks like Al Sharpton and Jay-Z weren’t having it and the singer’s performance was pulled.

A source told the New York Daily News: “Al made such a fuss to the BET executives that they pulled Chris. Jay is a big name in the BET community, and he was very vocal about his displeasure with Chris attending the ceremony. He didn’t want Chris anywhere near the awards so close to the court’s ruling.”

That Jay-Z would put up this kind of stink is no surprise. When news of Rihanna’s beating broke in February, Jay was allegedly enraged and called Chris a “walking dead man.” He has long been protective of Rihanna since discovering her five years ago and signing her to Def Jam Records.
