Fans of The History Channel’s breakout hit, The Bible, noticed this weekend that the character of “Satan” looks an awful lot like a certain Democratic Commander in Chief. The Daily Mail even reported that conservative pundit Glenn Beck fanned the flames of the connection by tweeting, “Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on History Channel looks exactly like That Guy?”
So is it a coincidence or a conspiracy?

We’re a little nervous writing this post, because we’re scared that if we showed a little too much interest in the fab style and lovely looks of Michelle Obama, we’re going to get some kind of FBI file opened up on us. We don’t want to push Barack’s jealousy button! And we’re not going to reveal her age either, because that would definitely land us in some kind of federal prison. But today is our beloved first lady’s birthday, and we wanted to do something special to mark to occasion. That’s why we’ve gotten together our 20 favorite fierce styles of our flawless first female of fashion! From elegant evening wear at state functions, all the way through to presiding over the White House Easter egg hunt, Michelle has always lead the nation in awesome attire. Happy birthday, Michelle! Sorry we couldn’t have something cooler like jets flying in formation. Maybe next year!

The point of this post is that, in a nutshell, the President Barack Obama is just plain cool. He’s been named as the Time Person of the Year for 2012 which we can all agree on being a pretty awesome thing. But our attention was diverted by this ridiculously adorable photograph that popped up on the POTUS’ twitter account around the time that the announcement was made which was captioned as, “Photo of the day: President Obama gets caught in Spider-Man’s web.” It’s the photo for a lot of days, as far as we’re concerned! The photograph was taken by the White House photographer Pete Souza and shows the President goofing around the W.H, playing with one of the staffer’s kids. The little tyke’s dressed as Spider-man (good choice, kid) who’s pretending to shoot a spider web at Obama. Obama, of course, pretends to be stuck in Spider-kid’s imaginary web. It looks totally spontaneous and we love the President for being this guy. Souza has been responsible for a lot of awesome photographs of Obama — another favorite being of the Prez, tired and smiling, and pulling off his bowtie as the elevator doors of the private residence in the White House are about to close. Here’s a nice colletion of those photos, in honor of Obama becoming Person of The Year.

As we travel home, hop into our elastic Thanksgiving pants and proceed to inhale turkey over the next week before passing out on the sofa with the football game on, we must take a time to pause and reflect. What are we thankful for? What makes us happy, and how can we improve ourselves for the upcoming year as 2012 comes to a close? Though there are still a couple of days before Thanksgiving, I already began to ponder these thoughts. Yes, I love my family. Yes, I adore my friends. But what am I really thankful for? Four more years of Sasha and Malia Obama in the White House!
Whatever your politics may be, you can’t deny that the 11- and 14-year-old daughters of Barack and Michelle Obama are adorable. From the intellect they’ve inherited from their brilliant parents to their keen fashion senses, the first daughters are role models and destined for greatness themselves. Here are four reasons why I love the Obama girls and why I’m looking forward to spending four more years with them:

1. We’re Watching Them Grow Up – Sasha and Malia were just 7 and 10 when they entered the White House, and four more years of an Obama presidency means Malia will be 18 and Sasha will be 15 by the time Obama’s term is complete. Thus, some of their most formative years and milestones will be spent at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Lucky for us, we’ll hopefully get to share some of these experiences with them. In the next several years, Malia will be taking driving lessons, going on college tours, and dare we say, dating? We can’t wait to see a photo of the Secret Service accompanying Malia and a Sidwell student to dinner and a movie.

We interrupt this morning’s truly meaningful celebrity news (hi, Lindsay Lohan!) to bring you this touching moment that might just make you stand up a little taller and work a little harder today. Newly re-elected President Barack Obama gave a speech to young volunteers at his Chicago headquarters about how their hard work made everything he did meaningful. And he turned on the waterworks like we’ve never seen him do before. It’s kind of like that one time we saw our dads cry. We dare you not to feel some stirring of hope as you watch it. And then you can go back to thinking about Kirstie Alley‘s weird nonsexual relationship with John Travolta.

Diane Sawyer, Potheads And Big Bird: 10 Other People Who Won Last Night

Barack Obama wasn’t the only winner of yesterday’s election day — and we’re not just talking about all those congresspeople and local officials who were elected. People were as glued to their laptops as they were to the TV, naturally, and their comments and retweets voted a number of other people, memes and causes into our hearts. Here are 10 more of the night’s victors:
1. Obama’s social media team, whose elated “Four more years” tweet became the most shared post in Twitter history, according to Mediabistro.

2. Diane Sawyer, whose loopy behavior and slurred speech was immediately a trending topic on Twitter, making many a CNN loyalist switch over to ABC. Hey, we were all drowning our nerves in alcohol, so we could totally identify.

The people have spoken and Barack Obama has been elected to his second term as president of the United States of America. We’re probably not the first ones to tell you this, and if we are, maybe reconsider your breaking news source. Even though the majority of Americans are very happy right now, we’re aware that a bunch of people (like Stacey Dash) are pretty bummed at the moment because their boy Mitt Romney lost. This is not a time to gloat, but a time for unity! So to cheer up those who aren’t feelin’ the Barry love, we’ve assembled Barack Obama’s 20 most comforting photos of all time. Let him console you. And if that doesn’t do it, look on the bright side: At least this damn campaign is over! For a few years at least…

Herman Cain, we hardly knew ye. Josh Romney, we’ll miss your menacing stare…unless your father wins tonight, in which case please stop looking at us like that! It’s creepy! Yet another election season comes to a end tomorrow, and with it goes all the weird, hilarious, awful and occasionally poignant parts of the democratic process we’ve enjoyed for the last two years. We’ve selected our seven favorite moments to look back on, but do you have a favorite election moment you’d like to savor a little longer? Let us know in the comments!

So, of all the celebrities campaigning for President Obama — Jay-Z and Katy Perry included — props have to be given to everyone’s favorite, pants-fillin’ Mad Men star Jon Hamm who has also quietly and steadily been encouraging folks in Colorado to vote and Gobama! He was almost entirely too handsome in the recent campaign video he was featured in, asking people to “make a plan: You can either vote by mail or vote early in person.” And then he and his pants went out to the public and we are overwhelmed by the results. Especially with the photograph of him and his pants on top of an Obama bus which would get us to perv out if it wasn’t for such a good cause. If there’s anything that would get us to sit up and listen other than Jon Hamm, it’s Jon Hamm in a newsboy cap.
He also shared a story which happened during his Colorado trail, saying, “I had a 13 year old girl come up to me in Colorado -this is a dead true story- and say, “Well, you’re a wealthy white male… why are you here?” And I was like, first of all, that’s the greatest question I’ve been asked on this entire tour. But secondly, she had conflated somehow in her head that only people vote for their own kind. And I made sure to tell her that that’s absolutely not the case.” That’s when we stopped and swooned and thought about how smart he was. Then he added, “I vote for what I think is best for all of us. Not simply for me. And that’s unfortunately the message that the other side wants to get across, is you just take care of yourself and you build a fence around yourself and no one else gets help. That’s not how I was raised, that’s not the America I wanna live in and that’s not the America that I believe in.” And that’s when we pretty much saluted him. Go vote, folks! Here’s a bonus picture of Jon and girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt asking you to do just that!
