It would take a few lifetimes to compile a list of all the awful things that Donald Trump has ever said or done, but on Sunday night’s Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars, we found ourselves not only a frontrunner for one of the most sexist things that he’s ever uttered, but also that’s ever aired on broadcast television. When Bret Michaels sauntered out of Trump Tower after being the first celeb Donald Trump fired on Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars Sunday night, he seemed to have taken his dismissal in rock star stride. As it turns out, the shock elimination sent Michaels into a breakdown and allegedly left him sobbing.
When you’re someone like Bill Maher, and you’re paid to make jokes on television, we assume it’s pretty hard to believe that people are going to take things you say, for instance, on Jay Leno’s couch, seriously. But when you’re someone like Donald Trump, who probably has millions of employees ready to act on his very whim, you can take everything seriously — particularly if it earns you a bit of publicity. Which, apparently, Donald Trump still craves. That’s our assessment of this crazypants lawsuit with which Trump has just slapped the Real Time host. It all began with this joking exchange Maher made on the Tonight Show a month ago:
Playing off of Trump’s unfounded Obama birther accusations and last fall’s irritating request for the president to make his college transcripts public in exchange for a $5 million donation from Trump to a charity of Obama’s choice, Maher offered $5 million to a charity of Trump’s choice if he could prove his father is not an orangutan. (This inspired by the unnatural color of the real estate mogul’s hair.) The next day, Trump actually had one of his flunkies send Maher a copy of his birth certificate (also obtained by Yahoo), naming Fred Trump as his father. Read more…
Her popularity skyrocketed during the BSC Championship Title game when ESPN commentator Brent Musburger singled her out of a crowd and proceeded to semi-charmingly/semi-creepily compliment her undeniable beauty. In the days that followed she gained over 250,000 Twitter followers (growing more every moment, we’re sure) and was asked to judge Miss America personally by beauty pageant baron Donald Trump.
Her latest gig on Inside Edition is set to start on January 28th, just in time for the pre-Super Bowl XLVII lead-up. The lovely Ms. Webb calls the new post “an honor and a dream come true,” and promises to ”give fans an insider’s look at what goes on as the teams prepare to battle and as the fans get ready to cheer on their favorites.” Does Beyonce have some competition as the hottest part of the Big Game? We sure thing so! Check out the gallery below and see what we mean!
Politically active celebrities are flocking to the polls in droves today to vote for their 2012 presidential picks, but they’re also taking to twitter to make sure everyone else rocks their right to the big V. While some folks like Donald Trump and Mariah Carey are posting pics of themselves actually doing the deed, others like Eva Longoria and Lady Gaga are simply showing their support for their candidates via tweet. In the weeks leading up to the election we’ve seen some pretty crazy endorsement stunts come out of the Hollywood community. Remember Snoop Dog/Lion’s instagram or Clint Eastwood’s chair? But it seems like today celebrities are leaving the political smashing and bashing behind and just encouraging us all to just get out there and vote it up. So no matter who you’re voting for make sure you get up, get out, and let your voice be heard! But before you hit the polls, take a look at how some of our favorite celebs are spending their Election Day. Find out in the gallery below!
Brad Pitt’s latest role is an unusual one: Furniture designer! The 48-year-old is teaming up with famed craftsman Frank Pollarofor a line of luxury home furnishings to be unveiled in New York on November 13th. The pieces include a 17-foot dining room table finished in 24K gold, and an epically huge bed.
Apparently Brad has been harboring secret carpentry ambitions for many years. “I’ve been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when I first discovered [Charles Rennie] Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright,” the actor toldArchitectural Digest. “Actually, I found Wright in college, when looking for a lazy two-point credit to get out of French. It forever changed my life.”
The duo hit it off when Frank was installing a custom commissioned desk in Brad’s home and caught a glimpse of his sketch book. “I asked him, ‘Why don’t we make some of this stuff real?’” Frank said. “Brad said he thought that could be fun.” But Brad is by no means the first celebrity who’s gone out of their comfort zone with a side project. Although some have succeeded more than others. Head on down to the gallery below to see a few of our favorites from over the years!
Hoo boy, this guy. After rumors claimed he had some devastating news to reveal regarding President Obama, Donald Trump has instead released a video offering to donate $5 million to a charity of Barry’s choosing if the President “opens up and gives his college records and applications and if he gives his passport applications and records.” College applications? Do you know how embarrassing those would be if they got out? We barely want to think about our essays. “Why Working At A Summer Arts Camp Made Me Want To Go To Brown.” Ugh, how humiliating.
Of course the likelihood that Obama would indulge this insanity is slim to none (why would a standing president release his passport info? Let alone anyone?), and even if he did, Trump could just claim all the records are fake anyway. “I’m very honored to have gotten him to release his long form birth certificate. Or whatever it might be,” Trump declares, before listing some possible charity options for Obama to chose from: “Inner city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants.” If for some reason President Obama accidentally slips on one of Biden’s toy cars before October 31, cracks his head on the floor and is temporarily unable to make rational decisions, however, we would love, love, love to suggest some charities he could donate that $5 million too. Sure they’re fake. That just makes it a more satisfying challenge for Donald Trump to hold up his end of the bargain!
In case you were wondering how Donald Trump felt about the Robsten reunion, the ever-outgoing mogul took to Twitter to make his feelings known. Trump issued a strong warning to Robert Pattinson against getting back together with former girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart after she was caught cheating on him with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders back in July. Although he was probably just trying to be helpful, the 66-year-old dispensed the advice in his own uniquely abrasive way. Would you expect any less from The Trump?
“Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart,” he tweeted last night, after reports circulated that Rob and Kristen were seen back together in LA. “She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again — just watch. He can do much better!” So we guess he’s Team Edward? Predictably, Trump faced a pretty epic twitter backlash from Robsten loving Twi-Hards, but still he remained defiant. Having zillions of dollars can do that to you, we guess. “Lots of response to my Pattinson/Kristen Stewart reunion,” he wrote in a follow up tweet. “She will cheat again–100 certain–am I ever wrong?” To answer that question, we’d like to present you with this picture of Trump’s hair. If that’s not wrong, we don’t know what is.
The singer and actress has so much to be proud of. From her beginning as part of the pop rock duo Sonny & Cher, to becoming a television personality on her own variety show, to her acclaimed roles in films like Mask and Moonstruck, Cher is definitely a triple threat. She’s also had quite the love life — she’s been linked to everyone from Elvis Presley to Richie Sambora. Today Cher turns 66 years old, and we decided to turn back time and take a look at how she’s held onto that flawless physique and radiant beauty (with a little help from her surgeon friends) through the years.
Some major television star power showed up at the NBC Upfront preview party in New York on Monday, representing a fair amount of our favorite shows and new ones we can’t wait to see. One of those would be Parks and Recreation and the shows lead, Amy Poehler looked like a stone cold fox in a Nicole Miller dress, House of Lavande jewelry and an All Saints leather jacket. Other funny ladies, Up All Night co-stars Maya Rudolph and Christina Applegate also represented. Eva Longoria was glam in a deep red Alberta Ferretti dress with Brian Atwood pumps. She probably made sure not to stand right next to Jenny McCarthy, whose sexy fuchsia shift would have clashed horribly next to it!
