We’re used to seeing actors and actresses to try to save the world in movies, but there’s a rare breed of celeb who tries to do just that in real life! Many famous folks admirably try to use their noteriety and cash to bring about big environmentally conscious changes to the world (or at least set a good example). In honor of Earth Day, we’ve decided to take a look at 10 of these real world super heroes!
On the biggest night of the year for film there are two rules: show up stylish and bring a date that matches your fly. Before the night’s wins and epic/not so epic speeches, the stroll down the red carpet is one of the most important moments of the night. Who is on your favorite actors’ arms matters. A celebrities arm candy is, well, an extension of themselves. Halle Berry could never show up with a man who looks anything less than so perfect that he looks handcrafted by God himself. And if George Clooney showed up with a lady with a messy bun and a scantily clad dress (which he did not) he’d quickly find himself fodder for salacious headlines. Without further ado get into all the arm candy that graced the red carpet.
Do all famous people know each other? Do they only start business ventures with other famous people? Because this pairing — George Clooney and Cindy Crawford‘s mogul, extremely handsome husband Rande Gerber — seems perfect. The two gentlemen have been buddies and business partners forever and have just recently launched a tequila called ’Casamigos.’ The campaign for the new spirit is jaw-dropping and involves possibly every fantasy anyone could have. It features George with his mega-hot girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, and Cindy with Randy and it gets … heavy. Which is the polite term for “everyone drinks tequila and ends up in bed with each other.” We see Rande walking in with George and Cindy in bed with other, with Cindy looking like this is a Coyote Ugly kind of situation. It’s not, Cindy. Then, George walks in on Stacy and Cindy and looks like a kid who just got his candy stolen. Lastly, Cindy and Stacy walk in on Rande and George. Relax, the video is SFW and quite hilarious. Who knew that Stacy had such perfect timing? And while the advertisement, tongue firmly in cheek, urges you to “Please Drink Responsibly” we’re just going to say that we don’t want to, if it’ll give us a shot with Clooney.
If you aren’t a huge fan of Shailene Woodley, you’re gonna be. And soon! Seriously, we’re predicting K-Stew level fan hysteria in a very sort time. We caught flashes of the young actress’s huge talent when she took the lead role of Amy Juergens in The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, and her critically acclaimed role along side George Clooney in The Descendants last year blew us away. She’s on the brink of inking deals in two major movie franchises, and…she’s got really awesome hair. Yes, we’re more than a little obsessed with the gorgeous Ms. Shailene (even though it took us three tries to pronounce her name correctly), so in honor of her 21st birthday today, we’ve assembled 21 reasons why the world is about to go nuts over her. We were totally ready to ignore Ancestry.com’s latest “everyone famous is related to everyone else famous” announcement — after all, what could top Justin Bieber and Ryan Gosling being cousins? — but then we discovered the above two photos. It took the site extensive digging through the family histories of George Clooney and Abraham Lincoln to come up with a connection in Kentucky, through Lincoln’s maternal grandmother Lucy Hanks. Ancestry’s Michelle Ercanbrack told People that they are half-first cousins five times removed. That may sound distant, but look at how much their expressions match! Despite his prankster rep, there’s always been something stately about Clooney, especially when he’s fighting for a cause.
Incidentally, Tom Hanks has also said he’s related to Lincoln via that maternal side. And Clooney now shares something in common with BFF Brad Pitt, who’s a distant cousin of Barack Obama. Personally, we like imagining that Honest Abe really was a vampire hunter too, making his family forever a mortal enemy to the likes of Robert Pattinson and Prince William, who are distant relatives of Vlad the Impaler. We have very active imaginations sometimes.

Well, hello there, ladiez. Argo — a film directed by and starring Ben Affleck — premiered yesterday in Beverly Hills, and Ben’s wife, Jennifer Garner, stole the limelight. She was a siren in a red, fitted crepe Monique Lhuillier dress with leather panels, with a Bulgari “Serpenti” collection bag and jewelry. She’s really feeling the color these days, considering she wore a red Gucci gown to the premiere of Butter in New York just a couple of days ago. This is a much better outfit, due to the effort put into her hair, makeup and accessories. She’s getting stiff competition though, from one Stacy Keibler, Ben’s best pal, George Clooney‘s girlfriend. Stacy looked unbelievable in a vintage black Azzedine Alaia silk dress with cut-outs on the sides and a racer-back which dipped very low. She paired it with gorgeous strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a Valentino studded clutch and Neil Lane jewels. Keep the wolf whistles coming for both. In fact, the ladies looked so lovely, that their respective partners couldn’t keep their hands off them. Look below to see Clooney coping a feel and Affleck going in for the kiss! Russell Brand sure does like the pop stars! Less than a year after his split with teenage dream Katy Perry, the comedian was photographed leaving the home of Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. It’s been rumored that the two have started a romance after getting reacquainted at the Olympic closing ceremony earlier this month. “Geri has said they have a spiritual connection through yoga and they practise asana together,” a friend told Britain’s Sun paper. “‘Russell is known for action between the sheets but he is actually very good at just sitting still in silence. It is something that has acted as a bond for he and Geri as their relationship blossoms.”

Over the last week, the Internet was buzzing about the fact that Stacy Keibler may have been pregnant with George Clooney‘s baby. The rumors started because of a couple of paparazzi photographs, taken outside of the actor’s Lake Como, Italy, home. She was wearing a black dress with a yellow belt and there seemed to be a tiny little rise in the abdomen area. Basically, the angle of the pictures made it seem like Stacy had a tiny baby bump. It totally could have been the product of a heavy pasta dinner, but whatever — you know what baby alarms are like. The buzz refused to die down even when Stacy’s pals stated that the news was a “100 percent false.”
Now Stacy has taken matters in her own hands with one little tweet that will really shut everyone up. Her message read, “I am officially on Instagram!” The accompanying picture is the one you see above, taken with a friend while working out in Italy. Do you see that six pack? It’s insane! Great timing, lady. She doesn’t even need to explain anything after this because there is well and truly no bump in sight. Case closed and nicely played, Stacy.
