It seemed that this was the weekend that spring truly sprung, at least here in the northeast. Folks of every kind stripped off their North Faces and enjoyed the sun in its full glory, and it looks like celebrities were doing the same thing! Except, they did it better, as celebrities often do. Mega-hotties Rihanna, Jessica Alba and LeAnn Rimes were all spotted gettin’ down in their two pieces by the water.
Earlier this week, we told you about how Miley Cyrus referred to her boyfriend/fiance/superstud Liam Hemsworth as her “hubby” in an interview with Cosmopolitan. The quote sparked an untold number of rumors suggestion that the power-couple have already tied the knot without us catching on. Well, it turns out we missed a crucial part of the interview: She actually straight up said she was married, y’all! “I’m happy I don’t have to date anyone,” she said within the pages. And later on while telling an anecdote she dropped another glaring hint nugget: “‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are so cruel!’”
OK, so she might have just taken a conversational short cut, and what she meant to say was “I’m so happy that I’m about to get married in the very near future.” But that’s kind of a mouthful, no? A rep for Hemsworth strenuously denied the wedding bell buzz to People, saying that they are ”definitely NOT married.”
But hey, reps deny stuff all the time. And it doesn’t explain those Twitpics from Christmas that showed Miley and Liam wearing matching rings. And it really doesn’t explain why those same photos mysteriously vanished soon after being posted! Did Miley and Liam get married in secret? It wouldn’t be the first time in Hollywood history. We’ve been seeing a lot of black lace popping up on celebrities over at the West Coast all week. And to our delight, none of them have made the fabric seem Morticia Adams at all. Do we smell a trend? It started with Jessica Alba at the Producer’s Guild Awards during the weekend at the Beverly Hilton wearing a sexy Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown. Snazzy color was provided through her purple Roger Vivier clutch, her mint green nails and her pink lipstick. We were also thrilled to see Catherine Zeta-Jones take on a black lace sheath with a fringed hemline, by Emilio Pucci from the Fall 2011 collection. CZJ wore the sexy outfit for a stint on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno in Burbank, California, day before yesterday. Next up, we have the Aussie stunner Teresa Palmer wearing a sweeping, dramatic black lace gown by Philip Armstrong, which plunged down the front. She wore it to the premiere of Warm Bodies yesterday in Hollywood, and styled it up with a silver Judith Leiber clutch and heavy-duty Jacob & Co. diamond stud earrings and bracelet. Lastly, we have the lovely Hannah Simone at co-star Zooey Deschanel‘s Glamour Cover Girl bash in West Hollywood, California, wearing an elegant black lace, cap-sleeve dress from Theia’s Fall 2012 collection. It’s pretty hard to look away from the (sexy!) men at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and let’s face it, we don’t even want to! But here at VH1, we believe in equal opportunity, and it’s time for the lovely ladies of Sundance to take center stage.
From Amanda Seyfried and Evan Rachel Wood, to Shailene Woodley and Elizabeth Olsen, Hollywood’s female royalty were out in full force, and the fashion theme among the starlets’ – old favorites and newcomers alike - was simple: keep warm! Sweaters and fleeces, long-sleeves and jackets, even cute hats and scarves were all the rage among the ladies in chilly Utah. Except of course for Jessica Alba or Dakota Fanning, who both opted for sleeveless dresses. Risky, ladies! Cute – but risky! We’re sorry we’ve been ignoring Fashion Week this time around. The shows in Paris are in full swing and we thought mid-week would be a nice time to do a little round-up. Because where there is couture, there are celebrities. All vying for front-row, of course. We’ve gathered the top six stars visiting, because they were either, super well-dressed or, stuck out like sore thumbs. We’re talking about you, Rita Ora. That’s what the singer wore to the Chanel Spring-Summer 2012 shows. With Alexander Wang leather lace up boots. Not particularly politically correct, Rita. Kim Kardashian decided to channel a very chic Parisienne at the Stephane Rolland show, while Jessica Alba‘s chic little outfit and bright coral lipstick made us smile at Christian Dior.
Rounding up this sartorial crew are Salma Hayek, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike. We’re in love with Salma’s Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 collection claret dress worn, where else, but to the Valli couture showing. Diane pushed the boundaries as usual at the Chanel showing, looking like a French schoolgirl, while Rosamund’s sunny smile and enviable boots were the talk of fashionistas at Dior. But who are you talking up? Whose fashion was smashin’? Let us know, folks!

These two stunning ladies are nothing short of a tangerine dream. We’re talking about Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Alba, who both wore shades of orange, albeit in different avatars, providing welcome pops of color on the Golden Globes red carpet last night. Jennifer went for a deeper shade of vermilion with her strapless, ball-gown inspired Christian Dior Fall 2012 couture number. It’s deceptively simple but the reason it works to beautifully, other than the color and how it offsets her brunette hair and creamy skin, is how amazingly structured it is. There’s not an ounce of fabric that’s out of place and the construction of the bodice is a masterpiece and cut beautifully. We love the tiny retro feature of it being cinched at her tiny waist, but they made that aspect contemporary by the use of a metallic belt. Romantic and all-class, this one’s worthy of applause.
Jessica on the other hand, went for a softer shade of coral with her Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 gown. We love the way it drapes and folds in a manner that’s not fussy at all, and the fact that she’s matched her lipstick to the shade of the gown is a beautiful touch. That amazing necklace you see is by Harry Winston and we’re in awe of it. That’s the kind of ice you wear when you know you’re bringing it. The whimsy of her Roger Vivier ‘Pochette Prisme Poodle’ clutch is a little indulgence most may disagree with, but it’s youthful and fresh, and we totally approve. And now to decide between Jennifer and Jessica. We’re not going there. Perhaps you can and tell us who you prefer?

Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, joyful Kwanzaa, and — why not? — happy birthday too, while you’re at it! It’s the holiday seasons, folks; the time of year for giving to our nearest and dearest. And for you, dear readers, we could think of no better gift than 100 of the sexiest bikini photos that this year had to offer! We’ve got some of everybody, and we do mean everybody. There might even been one of you in there. We’ve got that many!
Of course this uber-gallery is presided over by Beyonce, who ruled over our 2012 Bikini Awards just like she does with the rest of the known universe. In fact, she was able to defy time and win the coveted award with pics that were (technically) from 2011. That’s the power of Queen Bey! In addition to her, our list is chock-full of other pop queens like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga, and big-screen A-listers like Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Alba. TV personalities Maria Menounos and Angela Simmons made a strong showing, too. We’ve also got shots from the usual suspects like reality star Kim Kardashian, never-shy Twitter mama Adrianne Curry and Coco, the Patron Saint of Donks.
Some of our very own VH1 stars like Mob Wives’ Drita D’Avanzo and Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada put in an appearance, as did Hunger Games leading lady (and our personal favorite) Jennifer Lawrence. Professional hotties Kate Upton and Brooklyn Decker look straight out of the pages of Sports Illustrated, while Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are simply heavenly.
So tear off the wrapping paper and dive in to our terrific 2012 retrospective of everyone’s favorite two-piece. Happy Holidays!

Sometimes certain events tend to surprise us because they’re low-flying on the radar, but end up being so highly attended that we have to sit up and take notice. That’s what happened with the Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday at the Book Bindery in Culver City, California. It’s a great cause providing families in need with baby-care products and essentials. A lot of very stylish moms showed up in support. We found Jessica Alba breathtaking in a shell, frothy Valentino Resort 2013 confection with a Roger Vivier clutch and Harry Winston jewels. Nicole Richie picked a similar color scheme opting for a gorgeous 1920′s inspired Lorena Sarbu Fall 2012 nude gown with an Art Decod pattern, with side-swept retro hair. Rachel Zoe also rocked it in a white goddess gown with black piping. Think it was her own design?
Another favourite was Julie Bowen‘s purple sequined Naeem Khan caftan accesorized with a Jimmy Choo tube clutch. Others that looked good, but not great, like the ladies mentioned so far, were Ali Larter (who should have nixed the leopard belt), Molly Sims (too drab in black, as was Rebecca Gayheart) and Busy Philipps whose dress was lovely but her brown clutch and turquoise jewelry ruined it for us. In truth, celebrities’ children are not actually any cuter than regular kids, and we should not be here to judge one small, nonprofessional child against the other. BUT. After spending a week perusing through squee-worthy Twitpics of Snooki’s and Vanessa Lachey’s babies, catching sightings of Halle Berry and Denise Richards taking their kids to the pumpkin patch, seeing Emme Anthony fall asleep on J.Lo’s lap at a Paris fashion show, and more, we decided we just had to do something with all of this collective cuteness. And so we decided to make you decide which of these is the most adorable of all. We’re sure you’ll be up for the task.
