Forget Iron Man (1-3) or The Avengers for that matter, these celebrities are the real deal (and would make a great cast in the ultimate ensemble superhero movie).

Earlier this week, we told you about how Miley Cyrus referred to her boyfriend/fiance/superstud Liam Hemsworth as her “hubby” in an interview with Cosmopolitan. The quote sparked an untold number of rumors suggestion that the power-couple have already tied the knot without us catching on. Well, it turns out we missed a crucial part of the interview: She actually straight up said she was married, y’all! “I’m happy I don’t have to date anyone,” she said within the pages. And later on while telling an anecdote she dropped another glaring hint nugget: “‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are so cruel!’”
OK, so she might have just taken a conversational short cut, and what she meant to say was “I’m so happy that I’m about to get married in the very near future.” But that’s kind of a mouthful, no? A rep for Hemsworth strenuously denied the wedding bell buzz to People, saying that they are ”definitely NOT married.”
But hey, reps deny stuff all the time. And it doesn’t explain those Twitpics from Christmas that showed Miley and Liam wearing matching rings. And it really doesn’t explain why those same photos mysteriously vanished soon after being posted! Did Miley and Liam get married in secret? It wouldn’t be the first time in Hollywood history. Head on down to the gallery below and see 20 other famous couples who got hitched on the super DL!

We’re stuffing our jacket pockets with Kleenex as we speak! Variety announced today that Kate Winslet is currently in talks with Divergent director Neil Burger to joing the upcoming film based on the YA novel of the same name. While there’s no word as to what role the Academy Award-winning actress might take, based on what fans are squealing online we’re guessing Winslet would be awesome as Natalie Prior, wise, protective mother of Shailene Woodley‘s teen protagonist Tris. Alternately, Winslet could potentially be eying the role of Jeanine Matthews, the cunning, war-mongering leader of the book’s Erudite political faction. In either case…well, we won’t spoil the entire movie, but let’s just say there’s a reason Veronica Roth’s book series is described as “dystopian.” Things do not pan out for all the film’s major players.
The casting news comes just a few weeks after word that Alex Pettyfer, Lucas Till and Jeremy Irvine are still in the running to play Four, fellow future dweller and romantic interest to Woodley’s Tris. What do you think? Is Winslet destined to play Natalie? Are there any names you’d like to throw in the hat before the cast is confirmed (knowing of course that we are the only ones who will be reading from said hat)?

We know second and third marriages often go down without fanfare, but we’re still a bit surprised that Kate Winslet didn’t tell us all about her plans to marry her spectacularly named boyfriend Ned Rocknroll this month. According to E! Online, the Oscar winner’s rep confirmed that the couple wed in New York earlier this month in front of “her two children and a very few friends and family” after getting engaged over the summer. Actually, we shouldn’t take it personally that she forgot to invite us — according to The Sun, even their dads didn’t know the wedding had taken place. Or that’s what they told the tab, anyway. The U.K. paper also reported that Kate’s Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio gave her away.
Winslet and Rocknroll (born Abel Smith) have been dating for a little over a year, ever since they both escaped that dramatic fire at Ned’s Uncle Richard Branson’s private island estate. Yes, it was that time when Kate reportedly carried Branson’s 90-year-old mother, Eve, out of the burning building. Those kind of heroics could win any man’s heart, right? (Though, oops, Kate was there with another guy at the time!)
This is Winslet’s third marriage, after Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes. Rocknroll works for his uncle’s Virgin Galactic, but no word yet on whether they’ll honeymoon in space.

On Anne Hathaway, how much do we love thee? Let us count the awesome quotes about weight you shared with Glamour. “I still feel the stress over ‘Am I thin enough? Am I too thin? Is my body the right shape?’” the Les Miserables actress admitted. “There’s an obsessive quality to it that I thought I would’ve grown out of by now. It’s an ongoing source of shame for me.” On an unrelated note, we love how Glamour didn’t sandblast Hathaway’s face into an unrecognizable doll mask like some Photoshop-happy magazines do. Well-played, you guys!
We’ve said before how much we’ve been enjoying the celebrity-lead discussion about weight recently, and our interest is even more piqued by Hathaway’s inclusion in our 20 Stars Who Took Their Bodies To Extremes For The Screen list. Basically what we’re saying is, Anne’s words lead us to collect our favorite brutally honest celeb quotes about weight. Some of them are uplifting, some of them are depressing, but all of them are a good reminder than famous people are just meat puppets like us. Meat puppets with great hair and nicer cars, but meat puppets none the less.

Kate Winslet: Glamorous silver-screen siren and red-carpet head-turner. The lady is in a class of her own. But she wasn’t always so stylish! It’s hard to remember Kate not always looking as stunning as she does now, but she rocked some seriously hideous looks back in the day. Yes, this Oscar winner once had a penchant for looking like a train wreck? To be fair, the ’90s and early 2000s were a rough time for everyone when it came to fashion, but some of these are defenseless! We are so glad that with time and age, this classic beauty has gained some fashion sense and left the lace body suits and leather halter dresses behind. Kate has really stepped her game up these days and has grown into a fashion force to be reckoned with! But for now, let’s look back, laugh and relive the memories. In honor of Kate’s 37th< birthday, we’ve lovingly assembled a list of her 20 most unfortunate outfit choices of all time. Enjoy!

James Van Der Beek might be playing “James Van Der Beek” in Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23, but he’s not, you know, playing James Van Der Beek. “It’s funny, people say, ‘He’s playing himself,’ and I think, Well, I’m playing this demented version of — I don’t know what. It has echoes of me in maybe, like, my worst day ever,” the Dawson’s Creek star laughs in his new Vulture interview. “But most of it is just completely made up with little kernels of truth: behavior I’ve seen from other actors, or some of the writers have seen.” Personally, we absolutely love when celebs play weird or awful version of themselves; it shows that they have a sense of humor about themselves. Luckily James joins a cadre of excellent celebs who have lampooned themselves on TV, such as…
Seeing as how Jeremy Sisto was still riding high off his Clueless success in the mid-nineties, it’s no wonder director James Cameron was hoping to snag him for the role of Titanic hottie Jack. Having just watched Kate Winslet‘s first screen test from the Titanic 3D Blue-Ray edition, however, we completely understand why Cameron went with Leonardo DiCaprio. While 21-year-old Jeremy is a total Baldwin, he’s a little too low-key and mumbly for a sweeping love story that ends with his corpse sinking into the frigid Atlantic. We also don’t think he could have gotten through the raucous Irish jig scene without a little eye-rolling. Winslet on the other hand? Pure porcelain-and-crimson perfection. Who wouldn’t want to see her sweaty hand slap the window of a Model T Ford?
Not that the dialogue is helping Jeremy any. “Have you ever torn apart a rose?” Wha? That’s a hard line for anyone to make romantic. Then again, considering this scene ends up being a pivotal moment in their budding romance, we (and our seventh-grade selves) are glad they held out for Leo.

“My Heart Will Go On”: Just Another Part Of Titanic That Makes Kate Winslet Barf

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Hunger Games casting speculation and Comic-Con reports for another bit of fangirling: Deadline reports that Sony is closing a deal to turn one of my all-time favorite time-traveling romance book series, Diana Gabaldon‘s Outlander, into a TV show. And it will be Battlestar Galactica exec producer Ron Moore at the helm, so you know it will be epic.
“Big fan of @Writer_DG’s Outlander books for many years, excited for the opportunity to do a FAITHFUL interpretation!” Moore tweeted this afternoon. That’s the kind of statement a fan can get behind!
Let me take a step back and tell the uninitiated why this is so exciting: Outlander is about an English nurse named Claire Randall who takes a vacation with her husband in Scotland shortly after World War II. While out exploring on her own (OK, following some suspicious ladies doing a Wiccan ritual), she accidentally steps into a portal and winds up in the Scotland of 1743, when a number of Highland tribes are plotting a rebellion against the English king. Claire’s outspoken modern ways and her medical knowledge get her in a number of touchy situations, but fortunately a young Highlander named Jamie Fraser keeps coming to her rescue. Unfortunately, she finds out that Jamie’s mortal enemy, an English soldier named Jack Randall, happens to be her 1945 husband’s ancestor. The story weaves magic, medical drama, historical fiction and humor into a very engrossing (if long) package. Also, two selling points: sexy men in kilts and awesome witch conspiracies.
Without spoiling the series for you (READ IT NOW), I would just like to suggest my own fantasy casting ideas: My favorite swoonworthy Scot James McAvoy as Jamie (hey, he can die his hair red easily enough!), and Kate Winslet as Claire (again, her look’s different from the book, but she’s got Claire’s spirit, and she’s hilarious when she’s playing super frustrated with men and their manly ways). Though I doubt these two would do regular TV, maybe they’d be up for a shorter, HBO-style series. What do you think, Outlander fans?

100 years after setting off on her doomed voyage, the Titanic is back in the headlines and back on the big screen! In honor of the ill-fated ocean liner’s centennial anniversary, director James Cameron has sent his record breaking blockbuster Titanic into another round of theatrical release. But this time the larger than life spectacle gets the 3-D treatment, so you’ll be able to see that steamy car love-scene like never before!
It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since the film first took the world (and the Oscars) by storm. It made an even-bigger star out of Leonardo DiCaprio, brought Kate Winslet to worldwide prominence, and probably bought James Cameron a couple dozen yachts or something. But despite the boatload of success stories, many faces from Titanic have been lost in the great sea of Hollywood bit parts. Billy Zane, where art thou!? Never fear, movie fans; we’ve managed to track down all of your Titanic favorites. Full speed a head to the gallery below to see how they look, and what they’ve been up to!
