Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry & 10 Other Fab Onstage Looks At The People’s Choice Awards

10 Onstage And backstage Looks From 2013 People's Choice Awards

It wasn’t only onstage. Lots of gorgeous celebrities either whizzed through the red carpet super quickly at the People’s Choice Awards last night, or chose to skip it entirely, only to appear on stage to accept an award or two.  We picked our top 10 from this list and plenty of your favorites are included. Jennifer Lawrence to begin with in a Valentino Fall 2012 Couture dress with Nicholas Kirkwood black satin pumps and Cartier jewels. Love J.Law, but not so enamored by this dress. This is the photograph she’s most working it in, but in others, it ages her and swamps her frame. Then, we have Sandra Bullock in a blue custom Vera Wang strapless bodice and pencil skirt, but what really got us excited, were her hot pink pumps matched with her hot pink lipstick. Jennifer Aniston in Christian Dior surprised us, because even though her dress was her usual black, it was quite playful and featured a flounced skirt. She paired it with Tom Ford black ankle-strap heels and Fred Leighton jewels. Emma Watson wore a jazzy, kaleidoscopic  Peter Pilotto with strappy Tabitha Simmons ‘Bailey’ sandals, while Katy Perry was the most toned down we’ve seen in a while, in a demure Valentino Fall 2012 dress with Jimmy Choo suede pumps, Jennifer Behr headpiece, and Sylva & Cie earrings. Hits of gorgeous yellow were provided by Brittany Snow‘s pale daffodil draped Maria Lucia Hohan three-quarters dress and Melissa Rauch‘s bright sunflower Junko Yoshioka gown accessorized expertly with Stuart Weitzman gold heels and a gold Vincent Camuto clutch. Shout out to Ellen Pompeo for busting out some Lanvin as well! Check out all the looks in the gallery below.

If Anything Gives Us Hope For Change In The Film Industry, It’s Melissa McCarthy In The Heat Trailer

If we had to Frankenstein together our dream movie, it would probably be Miss Congeniality, combined with Bridesmaids and starring our funniest aunt, Doreen. Obviously Hollywood has somehow gained access to our dreams (we’d be more concerned about that part, but it’s Friday!) and is using our subconscious for film fodder. How else can you explain the trailer for The Heat, a buddy cop comedy due next April featuring Sandra Bullock as a neurotic FBI agent Katerina James and Melissa McCarthy as a sloppy, raw-faced Irish detective Joyce Nelson cleaning up Boston with elaborate threats and pints of beer? This is the same industry that’s making three Smurf movies! Clearly they are mining somebody’s genius for comedy gold.

Call us cray, but it’s characters like McCarthy’s Joyce (and her Diana from Identity Theft, we’re assuming) that give us real faith the film industry is starting to acknowledge that people would rather laugh then stare at beautiful praying mantis people on a screen for 90 minutes. We won’t even get into how Melissa McCarthy probably had to spend 2 hours in makeup to look that flushed and disheveled. Okay, so maybe it’s not so much the film industry at large that’s moving us along so much as director Paul Feig, who also directed Bridesmaids. Regardless! We’ll raise a glass to Joyce either way…only to have it explode in our hands and get blood on our fancy pantsuit.

Happy Birthday, Ryan Reynolds! Here Are 25 Reasons Why He’s Hotter Than Ryan Gosling

It’s a question that has perplexed humankind since the dawn of time (or at least the last five years): Who is the hottest Canadian Ryan of All? The top two contenders are obviously Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds. But like Highlander, there can be only one. Everyone has their favorite choice, but seeing as how it’s Ryan Reynold’s 36th birthday today, we’ll give him the leg up above Mickey Mouse’s old flunky Gosling. Don’t believe us? Well, our crack team of pop culture experts have put the two Ryans to the test, measuring them against all sorts of important criteria. And the results were pretty telling. See for yourself!

1. Spooky-Themed Nostalgic Television Moment:

Gosling: A 1995 episode of Are You Afraid Of The Dark called “The Tale of Station 109.1″

Reynolds: The 1996 original TV-movie edition of Sabrina The Teenage Witch

The Winner: Are You Afraid Of The Dark is too scary. Sabrina The Teenage Witch has a wise-cracking talking cat. Reynolds wins. Clearly.

We Celebrate Sandra Bullock’s 48th Birthday By Remembering Some Of Her Most Winning Moments

Sandra Bullock turns 48Age seems to suit Sandra Bullock quit well. As she celebrates her 48th birthday today, her life appears as exciting and happy as ever. Not only does she have an impressive acting career, but her body is hotter than most 20-year-old’s. (Seriously, check out her flat tummy and sculpted arms). Most important, she rings in her 48th b-day in the good company of her adorable son, Louis, whom she adopted in January 2010. We gotta say, things have been really shaping up for Sandra Bullock.

As one of the richest female celebrities in the world, Sandra has left quite a mark. She first grabbed our attention with notable roles in Speed and While You Were Sleeping. Taking home the 2010 Academy Award for Best Actress, for her entertaining and poignant acting job playing Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, Bullock continually proves that she is here to stay. While her ambition and funny girl attitude has evidently earned her respect and praise in the film industry, Sandra’s career hasn’t been all rainbows and butterflies. Rather, she did warm up her Oscar speech with an acceptance of a worst-actress Razzie for her part in the Rom-Com disaster All About Steve.  Her involvement in movies like The Lake House, Premonition, and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous also did not receive the best criticism. (Let’s be honest: We were totally into her makeover in Miss Congeniality, but it was oh so unnecessary to create a sequel). Her personal life has similarly encountered a few bumps. Bullock’s marriage to motorcycle builder gone reality-TV star Jesse James certainly did not end as a fairytale romance. After being cheated on and dealing with a messy divorce, Bullock hit a depressing low, saying, “I was perfectly content to be permanently broken.” Thankfully, Sandra has gotten back on the horse, and we are pretty sure she is in a more “awesome” place than Jesse James.

In celebration of her 48th birthday, we have put together a selection of some of Sandy’s most winning moments over the years.  Let’s not forget that long before Louis became the main man of her life, Sandra was linked to hotties like Ryan Gosling, Tate Donovan and Matthew McConaughey. Get it, girl! Take a look at her most amusing and striking images. We hope that as Sandra gets older, she continues to keep it just as real.

Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Olsen Join The Ranks Of Fugliest Movie Wardrobes

Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Olsen In Ugly Wardrobe

Good lord in Fugven! The wardrobe on Reese Witherspoon in Devil’s Own and Elizabeth Olsen in Very Good Girls has our eyebrows kissing the top of our heads. See, this is what can happen when they try to make the beautiful people look less beautiful: they transform a beautiful person…into a blazing hot mess. That paisley? How? What? Wha? No!

Now, fugly wardrobe is not to be confused with an actor or actress who purposely become less hot in order to transform into an actual preexisting human being (Charlize Theron in Monster, anyone?), like those Oscar nominees featured in our list of Scarily Accurate Historical Figure Portrayals. It is simply a costume that was carefully hand-selected by a film’s wardrobe department to depict a certain time period or personal style…and also happens to be very, very, very fugly. Reese and Elizabeth, you know what we’re talking about. Why does Dakota Fanning look relatively normal and Elizabeth have that monstrous shirt on? Okay, sorry. Let us do our breathing exercises for a second. You can’t see it, but we’re shaking our heads on your behalf, ladies, and on behalf of everyone else on our Fugliest Movie Wardrobe list:

The 35 Most Adorable Celebrity Besties: From Beyonce And Gwyneth To Brad And George

We all get by with a little help from our friends, but celebs even more so. After all, Hollywood is a tough biz, and the only way to survive the ups and downs of Tinseltown is by surrounding yourself with a few true pals who will stick by your side in good times as well as during the bumps and slumps. We’ve long loved the enduring bond Oprah Winfrey and her BFF Gayle King share, and got teary-eyed this awards season watching Busy Phillips escort her nominated pal Michelle Williams to every event in town. And who can resist dudes like Tom Sturridge and Robert Pattinson and Jay-Z and Kanye West, who are always on hand to support each other’s personal and professional triumphs?

And then there are gals like Snooki and J-Woww, who have stuck by each other from day one in the Jersey Shore house. Through booze, bitch slaps, anonymous note-leaving, Vinny sex and drunken fights on the streets of Italy, they’ve never left each other’s side. The girls have a new reality show premiering tonight on MTV chronicling — what else? — the ups and downs of their friendship. In honor of their unbreakable bond, we’ve got 35 of the Most Adorable Celebrity Besties in the gallery below. Have a fave pair? Shout ‘em out in the comments.

KStew Tops Forbes’ Highest Paid Actress List, But Where Is Scarlett Johansson?

Kristen Stewart Tops Forbes Highest Paid Women; Scarlett Johansson Not On List
Kristen Stewart is more than just a beautiful, frowny face. She’s a beautiful, frowny face who could sleep on a pile of $1,000 bills if she wanted to. And why wouldn’t she want to? The woman is human after all. Earlier today. Forbes ranked KStew number one on their newly released list of the highest paid actresses; adding up the estimated $12.5 million she pulled in for each Breaking Dawn flick and her leading role in Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen raked in a cool $34.5 over the past 12 months. There are some very familiar faces on the list (which we’re going to make you ponder before you click the jump, because we like to keep you guessing), but our question is: guys…why the fudge isn’t Scarlett Johansson in the top ten?

Let’s think about this, shall we? Johansson was a lead character in last month’s The Avengers, which has so far earned $1,421,000,000 worldwide, not to mention her turn in the admittedly forgettable We Bought A Zoo last December. If Forbes is counting the money KStew made off this month’s Snow White, clearly they should have counted ScarJo’s Avengers paycheck. If ScarJo earned less than $11 million (the amount pulled in by the lady in the #10 spot) in the last year, we will quit our jobs and become her agent ourselves. We will, so help us Blog!

And now you may see the other women! We doubt you’ll be surprised by most of them. Well, maybe one funny lady…
