Oh Shanna, sweetie. The hair is just – it’s just not. It’s not cute, it’s not retro, it’s not hipster, it’s not SoCal and it’s not going to finally be the thing to make you famous. Bo Derek was able to pull it off in the 70s, because she was Bo frickin’ Derek and it was the 70s! Ugly was pretty back then. Today, ugly is just ugly, and your hair is hurting our heart.

Although reality star and Playboy playmate Shanna Moakler appeared on the Wendy Williams show to promote her makeup line, somehow talk quickly turned to another hot topic: the Kardashians. When asked about Khloe Kardashian‘s recent quickie wedding, Shanna replied that she did not go to the “donkey’s” wedding.
Obviously not appreciating the ASStastic reference, Khloe took to her Twitter to tell Shanna how she felt. “who is shanna moakler??? i have no idea who this girl is but i guess she is talking about me. Talk on honey… I can care less LOL,”Mrs. Odom said.
Rather than fight back, Shanna used her Twitter to apologize. “We don’t know each other personally and I apologize for my comment this morning.”But was her apology sincere? Shanna followed up with, “it’s not a big secret that the Kardashians and I don’t really get along. I don’t care.” [Source: NYDN; Photo: Getty Images]
Carrie Prejean‘s conspiracy theories about her firing won’t be helped by the sight of ex-Miss California executive director—and Prejean opposer–-Shanna Moakler posing with Tami Farrell at her first public appearance as the new Miss Cali. While angry, demanding e-mails from Prejean to her bosses have been leaked to the public, she still claims its her anti-gay marriage stance that’s behind the loss of her crown. “It’s a set-up,” she told the Today Show this morning. “I think most Americans know that’s the reason I’m here today.”

Though the media learned Carrie Prejean was getting fired before she did (“This is the first that I’ve heard of it,” she told Access Hollywood when they asked for her take), the former Miss California has a theory as to why she was fired—and it’s not that she was missing appearances.
What’s behind this I think is a political debate. They don’t agree with the stance that I took [on Prop 8]. Shanna [Moakler, ex-Miss California USA Executive Director] is trying to bash me. They don’t like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted…I was very respectful of people even when they slandered me and humiliated me. I have not once stooped down to their level.
She also claims that the pageant wanted her to pose for Playboy and star on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Though director Keith Lewis says he was merely passing along all offers as she’d earlier requested.
“It was a combatative relationship. It was just very difficult for us….I don’t think she ever really wanted to have the title afterwards because that wasn’t consistent with her behavior,” Lewis told CBS’ The Early Show this morning.
“I think if you tell your boss, I’m not going to do the job, I’m going to do whatever I want, you can’t tell me what I’m going to do, I think that you expect that your boss is going to say to you, you know what, you’re probably not supposed to be in this job anymore.”

Carrie Prejean is set to be stripped of her 2009 Miss California title, only weeks after Donald Trump promised she could keep the crown. “After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship,” said Keith Lewis, a producer for the Miss California pageant, in documents released by Fox News. “However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.” Did Prejean decide she could make more money in the conservative circuit than on parade floats?
In the same documents, Trump says he’s OK with her dismissal. “I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen.” Prejean will be replaced by first runner-up Tami Farrell—and Shanna Moakler has something to smirk about.

It appears that the days of Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker dissing each other on MySpace are over. Travis has moved on to bashing Shanna through Twitter, and Shanna is – not responding!? What?! These two used to air their dirty laundry all over the internet.
Yesterday, Travis Twittered about motherhood, in a possible stab at Shanna.
Travis said, “Kids are not used as weapons. Deadbeat moms that sleep all day, seeking money, attention like to do so. Just hurts the kids in the end.”
In a second apparent diss, he said, “Giving birth 2 a child doesn’t make you a good mom. Taking care of them, loving them, waking up to them, spending time with them does.”
Shanna however, is not playing the Twitter game with her ex. “As I’ve said before Shanna is not going to play out her personal relationships in the media,” her rep said. [Photo: Getty Images]
Donald Trump won’t have Shanna Moakler to kick around any more. The former Miss USA has resigned as executive director of Miss California USA after the pageant owner ignored her claim that current Miss Cali Carrie Prejean violated her contract.
Trump, ignoring the uproar over her topless photos and anti-gay marriage activism, decided to let Prejean keep her title, saying the pictures were “not a big deal” and praising for her stoking a political debate. Moakler, though diplomatic at Tuesday’s press conference, was apparently not pleased. “I cannot with a clear conscience move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it,” she said in a statement.
“Our issue was never about her opinions about same-sex marriage or the pictures,” Moakler said at the conference. “Our issue was with her complying with our agreement. When you sign the contract, we ask you to show us everything you are being offered. That wasn’t happening.”

On the heels of Miss California Carrie Prejean singing the controversial praises of “opposite marriage,” former Miss Californias Tamiko Nash, Raquel Beezley, and Shanna Moakler have posed for a new ad in support of gay rights.
Shanna, who has apologized to “the men and woman who have continually supported the Miss California USA pageant,” and said, “I know some were hurt and felt a sense of betrayal, but I thank you for your understanding, communication, love and continued support,” told Access Hollywood that the Miss California pageant was supporting Carrie in more ways than one. Shanna revealed that the pageant paid for Carrie’s breast implants six weeks before the competition. No wonder they are pissed! They shelled out big $$$$ for a new pair of boobies and then she went and caused all this drama with her “biblically correct” song and dance. [Source: Us Weekly; Photo: Adam Bouska]
Miss California Carrie Prejean alienated not just gays and lesbians, but a whole slew of people who have spoken out in disagreement with the Miss USA runner-up’s statement that “opposite marriage” is the only way to go.
Journalist Alicia Jacobs, a former Miss Nevada and judge said, “Since Sunday night’s pageant, I have been inundated with people wanting to know how Miss California’s answer to Perez Hilton‘s question affected my final judging. I can tell you that it GREATLY affected me & the final score I gave Carrie Prejean…My final ranking for Miss California was 4th runner-up…& if I could have made her 51st runner-up, I would have.”
Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler said, “…she lost the crown because she wasn’t able to convey compassion for ALL the people that as MISS USA she would be representing. ”
Shanna’s colleague Keith Lewis, “Religious beliefs have no place in politics in the Miss CA family”
Miss Vermont and Miss USA contestant Brooke Werner said, “Everyone has the right to their own actions. But I totally disagree with Carrie. I have a very different perspective on gay marriage and I would never have said what she said. A lot of people were shocked. We were all kind of giving each other those eyes, we couldn’t believe it.”
Geoff Kors, Executive Director of Equality California said, “It is unfortunate that Miss California, who we note did not win, is so out of touch with the overwhelming majority of people her age that she wants to deny loving, committed couples the rights and dignity that come only with marriage.”
