People Need To Calm Down Over The Non-Issue That Is Khloe Kardashian’s Nipple

Khloe Kardashian Has A Case Of Nipple Headlights On X-factor

By now, it is very likely that you’ve heard something about Khloe Kardashian‘s nipple debuting along with Khloe herself as the host of The X Factor last night. For those of you who haven’t, and care enough to ponder about the situation, this is not about Khloe accidentally spilling out of her top on television as performers are wont to do. We wish that was the case because then all this fuss would make more sense. Instead it is about the fact that Khloe’s semi-sheer purple blouse, worn as she hosted the show, showed a hint of nipple poking through the shirt. Not a nipple slip, not a wardrobe malfunction, but just a very minor case of headlights. And this is what folks are freaking out about?  We’ve even had to blur it out in the picture above in case someone gets offended, because so many people are talking about it. Heading this brigade would be Simon Cowell — one of the judges of the show — himself, who couldn’t contain his excitement yesterday and said, “May I say Khloe, you’re looking very sexy tonight … I think the air conditioning is on high.” As if staring at her fully-covered breasts wasn’t enough, he also tweeted this last night.

To all of this we say: GET OVER IT. She had clothes on. Most people didn’t even notice it but thanks to Simon perving out, now everyone else is too. Do we really have so much time on our hands that we now have to find problems with women who are properly and fully clothed too? Khloe herself seems to be amused about her “nip action”, as her tweet seen below reveals, but we’re feeling like everyone needs to move on now.

Demi Lovato Calls Simon An [Expletive] On Conan – Should She Bring That Fire To X Factor?

Here in the VH1 offices, we’ve been evaluating the judging skills of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on The X Factor. The consensus so far is that Demi’s being a whole lot nicer than Brit. And we’re not sure if that’s a good thing, when it comes to some of the more awful contestants on the show. We know Demi is a sweetheart to her fans, but she’s also got a quick wit we’d kind of like to see more of. She showed off that sharp tongue of hers on last night’s Conan, only it was directed at Simon Cowell rather than a misguided pop star wannabe.

“We’re trying to reach a younger demographic, and I just don’t think we’re going to accomplish that when he’s showing more cleavage than Britney and I are,” she said when Conan O’Brien asked what she thought of Cowell’s signature wardrobe.

“I’m not showing any cleavage, this is a T-shirt,” Simon protested.

“I’m surprised because normally you could braid your chest hair,” Demi said.

And when Cowell reiterated his previous claim that Demi was “annoying,” she struck right back: “Thanks. You can be a bit of an a–hole, how’s that?”

Ooooh! More, please!

5 Things The X Factor Did Right In Its Season 2 Reboot

The X Factor finally returned last night and it did not disappoint. The singing was great (for the most part), Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were entertaining, and the revamped look of the show was stunning. Throw in a little Khloe Kardashian and this contest may actually beat The Voice in the ratings this year.

Here are 5 things The X Factor did right in its season-two premiere. Let us know if you agree or disagree. And tell us what you thought of Britney judging style.

1. It’s Britney, Bitch!
We never doubted Britney Spears would be a great addition to The X Factor judging panel. What was in doubt was her ability to form fully developed thoughts without the assistance of her caregiver/fiance Jason Trawick. And would Britney be able to go an entire two hours without smacking on a piece of Juicy Fruit? Well, color us surprised, y’all, because Brit Brit was fierce on last night’s premiere.

In addition to her brutally honest critiques, Britney looked great (loved the glasses!) and was far less cold to Demi Lovato than we would have imagined (young pop star vs. older pop star — there’s a Lifetime movie in there somewhere). Plus, she showed a range of emotions we weren’t sure she still had in her. Overall, adding Britney to the show is the best decision Simon Cowell could have made this season.

2. Wait, Is This The Hills 2.0?
Say what you will about reality shows and their manufactured drama, but the green room catfights and boy band life lessons on The X Factor really made us think we were watching a long-lost episode of The Hills — and we loved it. Watching Kaci and Kaylee Newton mean girl Paige Thomas so reminded us of that time Audrina and Heidi didn’t invite Lauren to a party in West Hollywood … or something like that. Keep the fabricated drama coming!

Khloe Kardashian May Host This Season Of X Factor, Creating A Reality TV Alliance Of World-Ending Proportions

You guys, the Kardashians might be teaming up with Simon Cowell. That’s right, the man who flooded networks with competition shows and watered down music could join forces with celeb-socialites who created an entire media brand despite offering nothing of value to the world and possessing no apparent talent. This is like the Axis power of reality television. TV as we know it could be doomed.

According to TMZ, Khloe Kardashian (AKA, the good one) is in the lead to host X Factor this fall, topping the producer’s short list. Apparently execs are responding extremely well to her screen test, and are rarin’ to pit her alongside judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato in an effort to appeal to the all important younger demographic. “There’s at least an 85% chance she’ll get the job,” a source close to Cowell reports.

It’s not much of an exaggeration to say that Cowell and the Kardashian’s have changed the face of entertainment. In the past, you generally had to be famous to appear on television. Thanks to these two camps, the theory is reversed. Appear on the box and the fame will follow! Even if you’re just a terrifyingly media savvy family, or a guy who sings Ricky Martin songs hilariously bad. Now they could join forces and…oh god. We scared, you guys. Hold us.

Fox’s Upfront Presentation Brings Out TV’s Top Players: Britney, Lea, Demi, Mila And Co.

Fox Upfront Presentation 2012

Around the same time that the NBC stars were celebrating their new fall lineup, Fox’s Upfront presentation for advertisers was also happening in NYC. Both channels brought in their bigtime stars, but we feel Fox may just have inched ahead. This was also, in part, because of the news we published yesterday that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were officially named as the newest judges on The X Factor.

But they were, by no means, not the only stars who came to the presentation. Fellow The X Factor judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were also there. A ton of the Glee cast showed up as well. Lea Michele led the way in a lovely, delicate Pucci dress with Casadei shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Naya Rivera wore the one mullet dress we’ve ever liked, a Lublu number that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Jenna Ushkowitz wore a summery Rebecca Minkoff design, completing the trio of ladies from the show. Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss represented the show’s dudes. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was also there in a Carven dress and Miu Miu heels, as was her co-star Hannah Simone. And surprise surprise, a casually dressed Mila Kunis came for the event as well. Take a look at all of them, in the gallery below.

Simon Cowell Presents Your New X Factor Judges: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato!

L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears talk X Factor season 2

It’s finally official, set-in-stone, greenlit and ready to go! After weeks of rumors, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were officially presented this afternoon as the newest judges on The X Factor. We announced last week that Britney finally inked a $15 million deal after years (OK, maybe just months) of back and forth negotiations, and this morning we passed along unconfirmed reports that Demi was signing on as well. But now we know for real that the two Disney alums will be taking over seats left by former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

“I’m so exited about this whole experience,” she said at the Fox network “upfront” this afternoon in New York. “I’m ready to find a true star.” Demi was equally enthusiastic. “I’m exited to represent my generation.” For his part, Simon was his usual cocky sharp-tonged self. “I’m thrilled they The Voice have decided to compete with us in the fall,” he said with a smirk. “I wish them luck.” Bold words, considering that the first season of the show didn’t match the overwhelming success of American Idol a decade before. But…come on, it’s Britney freakin’ Spears. She’s sure to be a much-needed shot in the arm as far as the ratings are concerned! Right? Or are we just showing our age…?

Demi Lovato Confirmed For X Factor: Report

Demi Lovato to be X Factor judge

We have been crossing our fingers for confirmation that Demi Lovato would be taking a seat next to Britney Spears and L.A. Reid on the judges’ panel of The X Factor, and now TMZ says it’s really happening. Spears just announced her term as judge on Simon Cowell’s show last Wednesday, after months of rumors. Now, sources told the gossip site that Demi’s making an appearance with Britney at the Fox Upfront presentation for advertisers in New York today.

The outspoken “Skyscraper” star and her fellow Disney Channel alumna kind of make this the pop-starriest judging panel ever (no offense, JLo, Xtina, Paula and, er, Nicole). And at 19, Lovato is certainly the youngest judge we’ve seen on a major talent show in this country. Will Reid be able to hold his own against these ladies? We can hardly wait to see when The X Factor returns this fall. Stay tuned today for more news from the Upfronts!

Their Lives Would Suck Without Her: 10 People Who Owe Kelly Clarkson Big Time

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since Kelly Clarkson shot to fame as the very first winner of American Idol! We met her way back in 2002 as a 20-year-old waitress from Texas, and now she’s a bonafide Grammy-winning superstar. She’s had 10 Top 10 hits, she sang the national anthem at this year’s super bowl, and in December she took her place alongside fellow soulstresses on VH1 DIVAs. So for all that, we’ll agree to forget about From Justin To Kelly

While other so-called Idols have fizzled (What was the name of that grey-haired dude again? Anyone?), Kelly’s star is still burning bright as ever, with her latest single “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” hitting the number one spot. And she did all of this before her 30th birthday! Yes, the singer turns the big 3-0h today, so to celebrate let’s take a look at ten people who she’s influenced in the last decade. Happy birthday, Kelly!  And as you so perfectly put it, our lives would suck without you.

Simon Cowell’s Home Gets Broken Into By Crazy Female Fan

We don’t see Simon Cowell, well, cowering down to anything, but we don’t blame him one bit for being totally freaked out by this situation. He got a complete fright on Saturday night while he was relaxing and watching T.V. around 10 pm at his London pad (worth $14 million, FYI), when a woman he didn’t know walked right into the room after breaking into his house. Scotland Yard has identified who she is. The woman’s name is Leanne Zaloumis and it goes without saying that she’s a bit of a nutty fan.

Apparently Zaloumis, somehow, got in through a downstairs window. Who knows how she concealed herself? Cowell’s staff eventually over-powered her till the police got there and a Scotland Yard rep revealed, “Police were called….to reports of a disturbance. Officers attended the address and found a woman had forced entry to the premises. She was arrested and taken to a west London police station where she remains.” Cowell is understandably jittery after the incident saying, “It was absolutely terrifying. She could have had a gun.” We’re so glad nothing worse happened. Do stalkers really think they can walk right in to say hello without any consequences whatsoever? Guess that’s why the all-important psych evaluation was created.

Britney Spears Closer To X Factor Deal, Are You Closer To Accepting This?

We’ve been hearing for a while that Britney Spears was a contender to fill one of the X Factor judges’ seats vacated by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, but now The Hollywood Reporter says a contract could be signed as early as next week. The deal is being negotiated by her fiance/agent Jason Trawick, the site says. She’s undergoing extensive media training for the gig, per THR, but we hope not too much, since it would certainly be more entertaining to see an uncensored Brit-Brit on live TV every week than a well-trained one. “There’s going to be a lot of twists and turns over the next few weeks and a lot of things we’re going to announce,” Cowell said in a recent conference call with reporters. One other change the show will undergo when it returns this summer is that two hosts will replace Steve Jones to create a “different kind of chemistry” on the show.
