Top Model’s Rob Evans Wanted For Felony Assault With Deadly Weapon

Oh, dear. We really hope there’s a good explanation for this one: Rob Evans, the man who’s been prettying up the America’s Next Top Model judges’ panel since Nigel Barker’s departure, is wanted for felony assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ. The British model apparently beat up a guy in Beverly Hills back in March, and the alleged victim wound up in a hospital. The fact that Evans used to be a boxer isn’t helping matters.

TMZ sources say there was a warrant out for Evans’ arrest after the incident, but they didn’t pursue it because he cooperated with police immediately. But now he’s stopped communicating with them, so they’ve sent out a “fugitive team” to get him. That part sounds fishy as hell — a guy who looks like that can’t possibly hide. Maybe it’s all a misunderstanding? Ugh. Everyone, especially you famous folks, use your words, not your fists, please. We don’t mind if that leaves us with fewer things to write about here.

Incidentally, when Tyra Banks stopped by the Steve Harvey Show last week, she adamantly denied rumors that she’s been dating 24-year-old Evans. Why the hell not? “I’m really ready to have some babies. I want babies!”

You can’t afford this hotness. Supermodel mom Alessandra Ambrosio is the lucky lady chosen to wear Victoria’s Secret’s annual multi-million dollar Fantasy Bra. Or maybe not so lucky, because it probably hurts to wear bejeweled underwear. In the past these pricey pieces of lingerie have run up to $15 million, but this year’s is valued at a more modest $2.5 million…because there’s a recession and all. The 2012 Floral Fantasy lingerie gift set is decked out with amethysts, sapphires, rubies, and a massive white diamond in the center. On the downside, it’s dry clean only.

“It was perfect for me,” says Alessandra, who will hit the catwalk in the stellar ensemble this November at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “I felt they made it for me. It’s very romantic.” The new mother found out she was the chosen angel just three weeks after giving birth to her son, Noah. “I just wanted to scream,” she says of the big moment. “But I won’t lie, I was really worried. I was in total mother mode.” She’s spent the last five months doing some serious workouts to lose the baby weight, and if these photos are anything to go by, we’d say she’s been pretty successful.

The Marchesa show was always going to be a big draw since it’s such a celebrity favourite. We were hoping for a couple more A-Listers, but hey, Fashion Week’s such a packed schedule that this lot is just fine. Kanye West, check. Kim Kardashian, looking strangely like Big Bird, check! Tyra Banks … check. But hold up. That smizing is really beginning to freak us out. Like … this is something right out of The Exorcist now. That — and her hair. What can we say about her hair? We can’t. We’ll just let you gaze in wonder at the photograph below.

The only thing hotter than the weather this sweltering July was our Twitter feed! Celebrities of every stripe were tweeting teasingly scandalous photos that were not always safe for work (unless you work for VH1 Celebrity, in which case, it’s cool). It seemed like there were more super sexy skin-filled Twitpics in July than in the rest of 2012 combined! Maybe it’s global warming?

Selena Gomez modeled a selection from her new bikini style line, while Adrianne Curry modeled her BDSM-inspired Comic-Con outfits. Rihanna tweeted so many sun-drenched photos from her never-ending Mediterranean vacation that we’re starting to imagine that we were there. Some celebs, like Aubrey O’Day, Heidi Klum and, of course, Coco, tweeted up-close and personal pics of their favorite body parts (spoiler alert, it was usually boobs or butts) and reps from the Kardashian Klan went more for the full body shots. The Spears sisters both weighed in with bangin’ bikini shots of their own, and High School Musical soul sisters Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens did the same.

We had hot moms like Jada Pinkett-Smith, Sofia Vergara, Vanessa Minnillo and Jessica Alba. And Kris Humphries’ rumored GF Myla Sinanaj shared a pic to prove she’s gonna be a hot mom in the near future. And of course models like Candice Swanepoel, Bar Refaeli and Tyra Banks turned even the most humble Instagrams into glam shots worthy of GQ and beyond. We all get by with a little help from our friends, but celebs even more so. After all, Hollywood is a tough biz, and the only way to survive the ups and downs of Tinseltown is by surrounding yourself with a few true pals who will stick by your side in good times as well as during the bumps and slumps. We’ve long loved the enduring bond Oprah Winfrey and her BFF Gayle King share, and got teary-eyed this awards season watching Busy Phillips escort her nominated pal Michelle Williams to every event in town. Sure, we’ll miss Noted Fashion Photographer Nigel Barker when America’s Next Top Model returns for Cycle 19 (!), but after spending the afternoon putting together this little gallery of the show’s new British judge, model Rob Evans. We have no idea about the former boxer’s skills with a bon mot at the judges’ table or whether he has very discriminating taste, but we could certainly forgive any shortcomings in that department. He certainly has Tyra’s seal of approval … and then some. According to RadarOnline, the 38-year-old model mogul and her 24-year-old recruit have been seen in L.A. and Newport Beach “canoodling” and going up to a hotel room together. This is mere weeks after Tyra was spotted out on a date with Drake, so all we have to say is, you go, Ty-Baby.

The recent Harvard grad openly showed her admiration for Rob, and posted an Instagram of them together last month with the caption, “All I can say is … yum.” Rob doesn’t seem to mind, either. In an interview with WetPaint after his Top Model gig was announced, he was asked if he expected rumors of a romance with his new boss would be surfacing soon. “Definitely. I’m a big flirt anyway,” he said.

Tyra Banks Turns Writer In Support Of Vogue‘s Ban On The Use Of Anorexic And Underage Models

I may rag on Tyra Banks sometimes, but whatever I say about her “smizing“, I do have a certain respect for the fact that she’s so outspoken and does whatever the hell she wants to on TV. C’mon, remember her “Fa-Fa-Fa-Fashion” with Andre Leon Talley? Can I admit that actually miss those videos? But we’re digressing, because the point that we’re trying to make here is that Tyra can become a great spokesperson for touchy issues because she’s unafraid to speak up. We really appreciated her open letter in The Daily Beast that was written in support of Vogue‘s decision to finally commit to healthier conditions for their models by banning the use of anorexic images and therefore, anorexic models, in the magazine. They’ve also committed to not using underage girls — this means under the age of 16. It’s a small step, but it’s in the right direction.

Tyra, in her letter, admits that, “… the truth is that if I was just starting to model at age 17 in 2012, I could not have had the career that I did. I would’ve been considered too heavy. In my time, the average model’s size was a four or six.  Today you are expected to be a size zero. When I started out, I didn’t know such a size even existed.” It can’t be easy to write the words “considered too heavy” for all the world to see, and we respect the fact that she’s gone there. Tyra’s piece basically deals with her optimistic view on this ban, taking her personal history in the modelling world into account. She reveals her own battle with body image, saying, “In my early 20s I was a size four. But then I started to get curvy. My agency gave my mom a list of designers that didn’t want to book me in their fashion shows anymore. In order to continue working, I would’ve had to fight Mother Nature and get used to depriving myself of nutrition.” It’s that vein of thought that has made the industry so unhealthy today.

Luckily, she writes, her mom was her guardian angel in that respect, adding, “As my mom wiped the tears from my face, she said, “Tyra, you know what we’re going to do about this? We’re going to go eat pizza.” We sat in a tiny pizzeria in Milan and strategized about how to turn my curves into a curveball…” Read the letter. It reminded us that we kinda love Tyra!

What The Hell Did Tyra Banks’ Makeup Artist Do To Her Face?

We need to sit down and have a little chat with Tyra Banks and her makeup artist. It’s obvious that they’ve had some sort of falling out and Tyra’s face has become some sort of payback. Because this look can only be attributed to a makeup artist’s revenge. Or some kind of joke. Thumb rule, ladies: don’t go big on both the eyes and the lips, unless it’s for a fashion editorial. Tyra’s expressions don’t exactly help her case here. She’s doing that thing with her eyes that she did at the Time 100 Gala that made us scream “WTF!“I t’s almost like she thinks she’s being … sexy? This is not sexy, Tyra and Ms. or Mister Makeup Artist. This is two-tone foundation, bright pink-purple lips and some weird form of black-gold smoky eye (which normally, looks great), that goes way up to her bleached eyebrows. All applied by the bucketload. It’s like Halloween! Only it’s not, and it’s the Moth Ball in New York, instead. This is the opposite of fierce. We’re now revoking her license to use that term.

A Couple Of WTF Time 100 Gala Moments: Tyra Banks’ Crazy Eyes, Sara Blakely’s Spanx

Perhaps Tyra Banks shouldn’t have fired her ANTM team of Miss J, Nigel Barker and Jay Manuel. Because they would have kept her in check and told her to take it easy on the crazy eyes. Tyra was at the Time 100 Gala last night in New York and while her gown was stunning, we can’t get over what was happening with her face. That’s not even crazy eyes. That’s insane eyes. We get that she loves the whole “smile with your eyes” deal, but this isn’t a smile, Tyra. That’s called grimacing with your eyes.

Another WTF moment that occured at the gala came courtesy Sara Blakely, the creator of Spanx. All hail the creator! We just didn’t expect to see her Spanx. But that’s what we got because Sara hitched up her blue gown — which wasn’t form-fitting at all, FYI — to show them off. To see the hysterical montage, click after the jump. From Rihanna To Barbara Walters, The Time 100 Gala Pulls In A Diverse Spectrum Of Stars

The Time 100 Gala celebrating its “100 Most Influential People of 2011″ went down in the very sedate setting of the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center in New York last night. This instagram gallery of the event made us very happy, for some strange reason. Of course we had our own take of who the top 22 on that list of 100 stars are. We’re also concerned with what a number of those top 100 women wore yesterday, and we’re happy to say that it was a very colorful carpet. Amy Poehler decided to wear a black dress and bring it back to monotone, but it was so hot that she’s totally forgiven. Check out the low neckline and flounced skirt. Her buddy Kristen Wiig also wore a black lace jumpsuit but it had nude lining underneath, and she had a white jacket on, so it doesn’t count. We just wish the whole thing would fit better because Kristen’s such a babe.

Claire Danes wore a beautiful rusty-red Lanvin shift, but her updo could have been better style. Sticking to somewhat of the same color spectrum was Rihanna who looked stunning in a fuchsia prom dress by Marchesa with black Louboutin pumps. It was so pretty and girly — very different from her usual rude girl style. Tyra Banks wore the same color, only in a sweeping old Hollywood type of gown. We just can’t explain her crazy expressions, because there were plenty. That whole “smiling with the eyes” thing just isn’t working anymore. Other ladies who looked classy even though they have a couple of decades on the younger stars were Arianna Huffington in royal blue lace and Barbara Walters who wore a burgundy gown with a chain belt.
