Drag has taken over pop culture. Just look at Derek J. and Miss Lawrence’s lipstick-laced chitchats on Bravo’s Fashion Queens. Or the extravaganza that is Logo’s Rupaul’s Drag Race. But men dressing like ladies — rocking makeup, specifically — has been around since the dawn of man. As women, we’re cool with it, until the men start looking hotter than we do. No fair! Read more…
Ladies and gentlemen, the New Now Next Awards for 2013 are almost upon us, which means that it’s time for you to cast your vote and be a part of the wildest, craziest and most fabulous ceremony in Hollywood! The show stretches across movies and music, and will feature some of the hottest stars in the galaxy.
They don’t call him “Glambert” for nothing! Ever since exploding onto the small screen with American Idol back in 2009, Adam Lambert has taken to the stage in a big way! The massively talented singer and songwriter has a massive wardrobe to match, bringing theatricality and style back to rock ‘n’ roll. Who else could get away with a crushed velvet top hat, purple feathers and paisley pants…all in the same outfit!? That’s a skill in itself, people.
On top of his awesome music and unparalleled fashion sense, he’s a passionate advocate for LGBT rights and has raised thousands of dollars for student arts programs across the country. How much do we love this guy? Enough to painstakingly search through all of his outfits to find the 25 most glamtastic, in honor of his 31st birthday! So head on down to the gallery below to see all the ways Adam Lambert puts the “glam” into Glambert. Enjoy, and happy birthday, Adam!

For the past few Decembers we’ve looked forward to doing a round-up of singer/fashion lunatic Lady Gaga’s weirdest and wildest looks from that year. But as we started looking for 2012, we realized a scary fact: Mother Monster has kind of really toned it down lately. Eek! Sure there was some mighty sideboobs every now and then, But that was pretty much the best (or worst) of it. What were we to do!? Who is going to fill the void left by this insane style void? Which celebrity is the rightful heir to Lady Gaga’s crazy fashion throne!? We’ve looked high and low for the rightful successor and came up with a pretty killer list of contenters, from singers like Nicki Minaj and Rihanna to the Vampire Diaries‘ Kat Graham. Head down to the gallery below and see which celeb toppled Gags as the nuttiest fashionista (or fashionisto) of 2012. Enjoy!

Tee hee! We’re so glad it was Adam Lambert who criticized the singing in Les Miserables and not, say, any other person on the planet. “Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers,” the singer lamented last night as part of a truly winning Twitter rant. “The industry will say “these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live”but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?” Now how are you going to argue with Adam Lambert on this issue? Claim he doesn’t know what good singing sounds like? Doing so would be but a fool’s errand, son.
Obviously, Les Miz fans were more than a little miffed at Glambert’s review. We still haven’t seen the sweeping epic (we know!), so we will withhold judgement, though to be fair we’ve heard mixed opinions about the vocal performance of everyone from Anne Hathaway to Russell Crowe since the first trailer dropped. What’s ironic about the whole thing is that Les Miz is basically the Adam Lambert of movie musicals: amazing hair, flawless wardrobe, maybe a little too grandiose but we’d all be disappointed if it wasn’t over-the-top. Even better? It’s not like Lamber’s apologizing! “Sorry for being so harsh but it’s so True!,” he tweeted. “I’m so glad we are all discussing this now! Look-I grew up w this musical and so my expectations are quite high. Didn’t mean to b negative.” You’re totally forgiven, Adam. Now what did you think of The Guilt Trip? Don’t hold back! Show Barbra no mercy! Rip Rogen to shreds!

VH1 Divas host Adam Lambert apparently got some diva lessons from a pretty sweet teacher: Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes! VH1’s own reality queen, Jackie Christie of Basketball Wives LA, caught up with her during the red carpet excitement just before showtime, where NeNe admitted that Adam was the main attraction for her that night. “I am teaching him how to be a diva, so we’ll see that in the opening of the show. I’m like his mom tonight,” she gushed. “So I’ll be cheering for him and hoping that he does a fantastic job.”
But of course, that begs the question, what exactly is a diva? NeNe helpfully offered up her own expert definition. “Fierce and fabulous and a legend in their own field.” But she was quick to clarify that there’s more than one kind. “There are two different types of divas,” she explained. There’s a diva that is a bitch on wheels. And then there’s a diva that is fun and fabulous and outspoken. I feel like I’m the fun fabulous diva.” Jackie was quick to agree! “I think it’s great to be a legend but it’s also cool to be nice.”
In addition to helping Glambert up his sass cred, Nene is apparently getting busy in her private life too. Rumors are swirling that the Real Housewife is getting back with her ex-husband Gregg Leakes. Even after divorcing, NeNe has claimed that the pair are on good terms, and now there are reports they they’re to remarry during the holidays. That’s some serious Liz and Dick business right there! NeNe is staying mum on the subject, but played coy when a fan on Twitter asked if they could expect some Christmas nuptials. “Keep ur ears & eyes open,” she responded back. We’ll see!
Onstage at VH1 DIVAS tonight, the name of the game was the glitzier the better, as befits a dance-themed show. But before the likes of Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, Keri Hilson and more hit the stage in their best studded leather and sequins, they all had very different ideas of how to approach the purple carpet. It was just the kind of daring and diversity that makes these artists the perfect guests for a celebration of diva-tude. There was Demi Lovato looking rockabilly cute and Ciara doing old-Hollywood glam. Jordin Sparks and Bootsy Collins sparkled, while Brandy and Kat Graham donned edgy white and ivory.
Whatever their approach, none of these ladies and gentlemen was about to fade into the crowd.

We always appreciate celebrities who take to Twitter and Instagram and share their lives with us. And while a lot of what they share is amusing insight into their world, it’s safe to say some of their most entertaining tweets are shots of their ink. Let’s face it, tattoos are fascinating forms of self-expression and it’s always interesting to see what people permanently etch into their skin — especially celebrities.
Lady Gaga, Drake, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Adam Lambert and more got their ink on this year. And despite commending them for braving the needle, some tattoos are just worse than others. We’ve ranked them from our least to most favorite, so browse through our gallery of 20 Instagram shots and Twitpics and tell which is your favorite celeb tattoo of 2012.
Over the past year nail art has reached new heights of popularity among celebrities — and regular people too. Stars usually step out on the red carpet with a fresh manicure, but of late, nails have stopped being merely an accessory and have evolved into a focal point. Zooey Deschanel kicked off the year with adorable tuxedo nails at the 2012 Golden Globes and Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Rihanna and Amber Rose have followed suit, stepping up the style on their digits and, for our benefit, documenting their creativity on Instagram and Twitter along the way.
Browse through our gallery and tell us which celebs hit the nail(s) on the head in 2012.
