Happy Halloween, Fablifers! We’ve already shown you the 40 craziest celeb Halloween costumes, and our 10 faves from this past weekend. But those were all such polished, professional affairs, weren’t they? We’re pretty sure that social networking was created mostly so that we could share hastily snapped pics of ourselves and friends making fools of themselves at Halloween parties. And in that respect — silly celebs in costumes, they’re just like us! The collection below gathers the blurry, the scary, the red-eyed, the not-quite-identifiable and the wish-we-were-there shots that famous people from Nina Dobrev and Lea Michele to Eli Roth and Zachary Quinto posted to their Twitter feeds over the weekend. There are some brilliant homemade costumes in the bunch — a bunch of Glee kids as the Rugrats, Leslie Mann as Kreayshawn — after all, many of these actors started off as geeky theater kids. Some A-listers clearly got professional help with their getups (cheating!). And though some look like lame last-minute costumes, we don’t mind because still love seeing the rich and famous not taking themselves seriously.
Peruse the gallery, steal ideas for tonight, and oooh and ahhh at yet another shot of Heidi Klum miraculously making herself gross.
Lots of us are wearing purple today, supporting Spirit Day, which started last year in response to the horrifying spate of LGBT teen suicides linked to bullying. But even if the color didn’t fit in your wardrobe, the wonders of social networking have made it possible to turn your profile pic purple, and we think that counts too. Of course, as with any cause, some of our fave celebs are lending their 140 characters to the effort. Here are some of the best so far:
“Glaad Spirit Day! I support LBGT youth against bullies! Put up your forcefields and don’t let anyone take your energy!!” — Adam Lambert
“You all better be wearing your purple skinny jeans tom for #SpiritDay – I know I will @MTVact.” — Vinny Guadagnino
“Tink! …trying to figure out how to make my avi purple….hmnn…” — Jordan Knight
Stars brought their A-game to VH1 Do Something Awards! Insert all applause, wolf whistles and back patting here, guys! The show went down yesterday at the Hollywood Palladium in California and we’re pleased to report that celebrities really spiffed themselves up for the event. Including the guys because this best-dressed list involves Justin Bieber, David Beckham and Adam Lambert. David looked so sharp in his suit and also, adorably, brought his son Brooklyn with him.
The ladies more than kept up. Jojo and Amy Poehler brought bright punches of color with them wearing fuchsia and sunshine yellow respectively. We also love the vintage vibe Brittany Snow and Rose McGowan were channeling. Rose had on a strapless, sexy, Dolce & Gabbana black and white star-print dress with red heels and Brittany wore a circle-cut silver animal print dress by Camilla and Marc with mustard ankle-strap pumps.
Kim Kardashian highlighted her kurves in her version of “minimal.” It was sleek, white, body hugging gown — she’s been wearing a lot of white lately, probably as a lead-up to the wedding. But we have to admit she looks pretty fab. Rounding off our top 10 are Demi Lovato and Kristen Bell. Demi looked happy, healthy and leggy in an embellished, flirty white frock. Kristen looked sleek in a one-shouldered Etro dress. Ladies and gentlemen, we applaud you. Click through our gallery below and tell us who you think was best dressed?
Don’t forget to tune-in to the 2011 Do Something! Awards, airing on VH1 this Thursday, August 18, at 9 p.m. ET!

Scotty McCreery is the new American Idol! The teenaged country singer beat Lauren Alaina to win the the title which capped off a spectacular show. The two hour Season 10 finale took place at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles and they really packed in as much as they could. Beyonce dazzled on stage, Jennifer Lopez sparkled in a very JLo-esque jumpsuit and old and new American Idol contestants turned up in hordes. Like Sanjaya Malakar — remember him? A lot of this seasons contestants got to sing with their idols like Tony Bennett, Tim McGraw, Tom Jones, Judas Priest …. and Lady Gaga! Jack Black rocking out? Classic!
But more than anything, we were just happy to see some of our contestants and winners of past American Idol’s. Adam Lambert who was so glam it hurt, Allison Iraheta, Jason Castro (with his preggers wife Mandy Mayhall), Kris Allen… the list goes on. We’ve put a gallery of arrivals at the event so you can memory check everyone who came. Congratulations, Scotty! Can you believe he’s just 17? What a massive moment for country music.

This is a photograph of Adam Lambert at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards that were held yesterday at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. And we really don’t know what to say about this sudden aggressively hirsute approach. Between what’s sprouting on his head and what’s sprouting on his face, it’s a whole pile of oh hell no! What is that? Firstly, his hair has become alarmingly similar to Johnny Bravo. And then there’s this goatee-pancho mustache combination which we’re not even going to discuss. As much as it pains us to do this, we cannot call you Glambert until you sort out this facial hair situation. We’ve giving you props for that sharp suit but can’t get past your face to fully appreciate it!
Ke$ha was also present at the awards shows, and even though she had her familiar drankzface on, she still looked better than he did. She was wearing this 80′s silver metallic long-sleeved dress paired with a clutch and lashings of eyeliner, of course. Which is normal for Ke$ha in terms of make-up, but her wardrobe has improved drastically! Her shoes were all wrong but, it’s all baby steps. [Photos: Getty Images]
Who’s the dude with the weird floppy hat roughing up the dude with the camera? That just happens to be Adam Lambert kicking a paparazzo’s ass. Woah. We’re surprised, ’cause Lambert really doesn’t strike us as the kind of guy who would suddenly go all Terminator on anyone!
The slap-down happened in South Beach, where Glambert and his peeps were chilling and walking around in the sunshine. Paparazzi were swarming around them and got a little too close for comfort, and that’s when Adam snapped. He was walking back to his hotel when he jumped the closest photog, shoving him around until his friends had to separate them. And if they hadn’t already made their displeasure perfectly clear, the American Idol alum’s entourage mooned the cameramen right after.
Don’t expect any remorse from the singer, however. The incident is outlined on Lambert’s Twitter, reading, “Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach! #howisthisok?” This was followed by a longer tweet, with him venting, “They’re real good at provoking, but there ain’t any pics or video of the b.s. they spew out… Haha well… I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol MIAMI!!!”
Looks like he was feeling quite chatty, because he ended up calling out his own dodgy sartorial choices as well, tweeting, “Hahha the photos are hilarious !! Lol please everyone forgive me for that hat. – I was attempting a disguise- clearly failed. Hahah.” We’re laughing too, but we bet that camera dude isn’t! Who thinks a lawsuit is coming Glambo’s way even though the paparazzo seems to be smiling in half of these pics? Unfortunately, we do.

Adam Lambert is going on tour, finally! His “Glam Nation” extravaganza kicks off on June 4 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and he’s going to be joined by fellow American Idol alumna powerhouse Allison Iraheta and guitarist Orianthi. The show wraps up on September 18 in St. Petersburg, Florida, with pit stops all over the country in between.
What can we expect from the Glambert experience? The man answered, “I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement … And I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album.”
He’s already shared the stage with Iraheta and has nothing but love for her, “I am such a fan of Allison’s music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience. We have such a great brother-and-sister energy, having shared the stage both on ‘American Idol’ and on the tour [last] summer. She is pure rock and roll.”
Lambert’s also let on that the shows are going to be very theatrical in nature and that he wants his costumes to be very “cutting edge.” Er, obviously. “I hope to use some special-effects lighting,” Lambert says. “The Glam Nation tour is going to be very theatrical. People won’t be let down in the glam department; it’ll definitely be something to look at as well as listen to.”
Adam Lambert had a minor league Twitter spazz-out yesterday, briefly buckling under the weight of redundant questions on a German press junket. “Don’t get me wrong—I actually really enjoy being interviewed. I’m not upset—just hoping that by tweeting, [these] questions will fade.” His annoyance was nothing a beer couldn’t fix, but we thought we’d pass along the verboten topics of discussion.
- You met Madonna? (“Yes it was amazing meeting Madonna.”)
- You Queen’s new singer, ja? (“No, I wasn’t asked to be Queen’s new frontman. :)”)
- You are male Lady Gaga, yes? (“Lol I would never say that. I’m Adam Lambert. Of course I’m a fan and have the highest respect for her and there some theatrical sensibilities that we share—but we are different people…As much as I love her—it’s becoming tiresome. Would prefer to discuss MY art.”)
- Did you kiss Ke$ha? (“Aaaaand yes, I kissed Kesha. It was fun.”)
- Gay? (“And yes- GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY yay!”)
With those hot topics settled, we can just talk about Adam’s music, on-stage antics and eyeliner (“MAC eyeliner”). Oops, he’s done with that question, too.

Adam Lambert wore a fantastic outfit when he performed in Japan. We’re talking all sparkles and black, with multiple layers and spiked-up stuff everywhere.

Adam Lambert‘s Unplugged performance is set to hit VH1′s Unplugged site tomorrow (March 10), but you can get a sneak peek of him performing a stripped-down version of “Down the Rabbit Hole” now. This is a perfect accompaniment to our country’s current Alice hysteria, but also great for those who are fiending for a bongos fix.
