Amanda Bynes has quit acting at the ripe young age of 24. The former actress announced the news on Twitter, tweeting in quick succession:
Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.
If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it.
I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.
I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I’ve #retired.
Kinda weird because just last week she tweeted that her idols are “Marilyn Monroe (RIP) and Angelina Jolie.” Bynes hasn’t been in a movie since Hairspray in 2007. She added, “I’ve never written the movies & tv shows I’ve been a part of. I’ve only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play.”
So is that a hint that she’s going to start… scriptwriting? Directing? Something besides tweeting? [Photo: Getty Images]
