VH1 is sick of the silence, excuses, stigma and victim-blaming that comes with domestic violence and sexual assault cases. And you should be too! That’s why we are joining forces with NO MORE, a campaign dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault for good.
When will famous people learn? You have to pay your taxes! With that green stuff (not Miley Cyrus-related green stuff) you use to buy yourself all kinds of shiz. Bow Wow is the latest in a long list of tax-evading celebrities. Apparently, the rapper (his real name is Shad Gregory Moss) owes approximately $91,105 in back taxes. The federal government filed a tax lien in Florida last week stating that Bow Wow owed them money from as far back as 2006. There is no way out of this other than paying up. So Mr. Moss better give his accountant a call and start writing those checks.
Everyone seems to be going into confession mode! First LaToya Jackson revealed past abuse, and now Bow Wow who has a daughter — and he’s not afraid to tell the world! He’s written an open letter to fans that says, “My lil girl is getting BIG fast. i love every minute of it. She inspires me to go harder. Even made me treat my mother better, its like it made me into a man over night.” When this happened, we have no idea. But he’s a daddy!
It seems like Bow Wow’s been holding back for a while now as he stated, “I waited so long to tell yall the truth because i was nervous on how yall would look at me. Yall know everyone makes a big deal out of everything i do. I wanted to be 1st n let yall know the realI waited so long to tell yall the truth because i was nervous on how yall would look at me…”
He calls his daughter “Shai Shai” but doesn’t speak too positively about her mother saying, “The bs that comes with having a baby momma is expected. So i neva trip. Jus gotta suck it up keep chin high and try not let her get the best of my feelings by playin them stupid games.” He hasn’t posted any pictures yet, but perhaps that will come when he feels like sharing next? You can read the  24-year-old rapper’s whole letter here.
Yesterday we posted the extremely sad news of Nate Dogg‘s death. His passing was met with a fair amount of shock because the entertainer was only 41 years old, and no details had emerged about what caused him to die. While the official cause hasn’t yet been stated, Nate’s family is speaking out about what the possible cause could be. His manager and close friend Rod McGrew said he was, “95% recovered from the first stroke in 2007.” Nate had suffered two strokes — one in 2007 and one in 2008 — which left him partial paralyzed and with memory loss. What’s confusing about this is that McGrew revealed that Nate had “cognitively recovered,” and was functioning and alert in the days leading up to his death.
Either way, McGrew’s given a statement on the family’s (and his) behalf that reads, “We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support. We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friend 2Pac and Biggie.” Meanwhile, the music community are pouring in tributes and condolences for their friend.
We’re not professional boxers here at TheFABLife, but if we were, “Chris Brown with tortoise-shell sunglasses dangling off his cheeks” would be pretty high on our list of things we’d rather not see before pummeling another person’s face for sport. The Graffiti singer joined faithful flunky Bow Wow at the Berto-Quintana championship match in Florida this weekend, apparently oblivious to the potential offensiveness of his presence. We can almost hear him whining now, “what, shorty can have the #1 single in America and I can’t even see the fight without getting crap? It’s not fair! I’m doing what I have to do! Can’t I enjoy a guy beating the crap out of another guy in peace? At 20, I’m forced to be 35 or 40. I can handle it, just gotta climb back up the mountain.” The sad thing is, he really did tweet that last part about being a 40-year-old mountain climber. Tool.
Oh, Twitter. We knew the day would come when you would be used for more than just updates about what we’re eating and trying to come up with the funniest hashtag category. But just as people have been drunk-dialing and drunk-texting for ages now, the drunk Tweet is proving to be the next big, bad thing and might even help get people into real trouble. Take Bow Wow, for instance. He wrote a series of Tweets late last Friday, which have all since been removed from his Twitter page, admitting he was drinking while driving his Lamborghini (or Lambo, if you’re in the know) in Miami and partying with that other stronghold of judgment and character, Chris Brown.
“Im bout to be f*cked up n drunk tweeting. Im saying sorry now for what i might tweet. But f*ck it ! Im young n rich im goin hard 2nite,” Bow Wow wrote, and then followed up by writing “Face numb im whippin the lambo. Tispy as f*ck.” (Tispy as f*ck! That’s going to be a new catchphrase around here, we think.) After a few minutes of tispy driving, he wrote “Im f*cked up!!! Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot.” Though a valet tried to keep Bow Wow from driving, he was not apprehended or charged with driving under the influence.
Realizing that admitting his illegal and dangerous behavior was a pretty stupid thing to do, he apologized the next day, writing “Apologize for that tweet. it was stupid and immature. not a way i want to kick my #2010 year off. i got too much good stuff lined up. my bad”. Well as long as he apologized for it, no harm done, right? [Photo: GettyImages]
Looks like Chris Brown is ready to return to the limelight. Rapper Bow Wow has posted several videos of himself hanging out with the singer online, and not so he can apologize. In one, a surprisingly flip Brown acknowledges he “ain’t been out there in a minute” but that a new album, Graffiti, is coming, along with a single this summer (“we ain’t going nowhere!”). “Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters…I’m not a monster.”
In another video, Brown addresses rumors that he was sporting a black eye while watching the Orlando Magic with Usher last weekend. “All the blog sites are liars! You lie. No black eye!” Yeah, but what about Rihanna‘s?
Bow Wow played a basketball star with surprising skills in 2002’s Like Mike. Brittany Snow helped three girls get revenge on a basketball star with surprising skills in 2006’s John Tucker Must Die. Both young stars were born on March 9th. Which one is older?
It all started with rapper/actor Bow Wowplayfully challengingrapper/starf*cker The Game to a game of Madden X, suggesting that the winner would get to donate $100,000 of the other rapper’s money to their favorite charity. The Game seemed to miss the “charity” aspect in his retort, however, claiming that he has all the money he needs. What The Game needs, however, is blowjobs. Blowjobs from Bow Wow’s ex Ciara. “How about we raise the stakes…call Ciara and tell her to suck EVERYBODY on this bus’s dick.” The Game then lists the names of the would-be recipients, who nod enthusiastically. Moral of the story: rappers need to stop interacting with The Game. If you ignore him, he might go away. [Industry Finest]
