The MTV Video Music Awards are known for having one of the most varied guest lists in showbiz, creating mind-blowingly random Hollywood juxtapositions. Many unexpected duos are tapped to present awards together, and sometimes folks are feeling friendly and just want a picture with their secret celeb crush. These unexpected pairings sometimes could be the musical collaboration of our dreams, much like Lady Gaga and Cher appearing side by side (with a side of beef) back in 2010. Or they could be the nightmare we wish would end, like the legendary meeting of Kanye West and Taylor Swift in ’09. Who would have thought teen sweetheart Mandy Moore would want to be hugged up with the creepy Marilyn Manson? The VMAs have given us some insanely wonderful worlds colliding moments over the years, so we’ve made a gallery to celebrate our favorite. Head down bellow to check out our 20 Most Unexpected VMA Pairings of All Time. Let’s hope we can have another 50 Cent and Paris Hilton moment this Thursday!

A TwitPic says a thousand words. We couldn’t help but make gurgling sounds when we saw that photograph of Hilary Duff and baby Luca on the right, in which he’s having a bit of an adorable snit. Hilary tweeted an explanation, saying, “I sent my dad this pic and he said ‘luca told me to tell u, u made his oatmeal lumpy’ lol he is cute when he’s mad!” We’ve seen a couple of photographs of Luca before on Twitter and he’s one cutie, even when he’s about to bawl. The mommy-baby peek is as wholesome as that lumpy oatmeal his daddy made him.
On the left we have Miss Kelly Osbourne, who isn’t looking as wholesome as her celebrity compadres. She tweeted this bedraggled photograph just a few hours ago, writing, “Just found my favorite pj’s! Got to be up at 5am for fashionpolice thank god for my jet lag & comfy bed night night.” We don’t care that she looks messy — the girl is about to go to bed. We do think those PJs are really cute, too. What we can’t understand is where Kelly’s body actually is? The girl is rapidly disappearing before our eyes. She looks super skinny here. Is it the angle, or has Kelly really lost that much weight? We’re not sure we like this!

Gush alert! Hilary Duff has posted her first family portrait with husband Mike Comrie and son Luca Cruz on her Twitter account. You can’t really miss it as it’s her display picture. Her very recent tweets also revealed another baby she’s working on. Hold on, we didn’t mean that kid number two is already in the works. Hilary’s teaming with Johnson’s Baby for their new charitable program. She wrote, “Big News! I’m working w/ JOHNSON’S Baby on its new charitable program, JOHNSON’S Baby CARES [the link] - I love being a mom.” The mission statement of the charity is, “Providing the best care to moms and babies worldwide.” We’re down with that! And so is Hilary, who is clearly loving being a new mother and isn’t afraid it show it. Her Twitter account is full of messages about baby Luca, and we can’t help but smile when reading them. They look like the picture-perfect family.

Two weeks after giving birth, Hilary Duff has finally given us a peek at her son Luca Cruz, on Twitter. She built up to the moment by posting an adorable instagram of his teeny feet yesterday, writing, “My favorite little feet.” But then she went right ahead and posted a whole photo, captioned with, “Baby Luca, 2 weeks old.” Now, here’s the thing with new moms. One photograph is never enough. Not that we’re complaining, because we were treated with another picture of Luca, and this one was taken way up close! Is it the angle or does he have the biggest eyes you’ve ever seen? Hilary posted the snapshot, stating, “Oh no! The flood gates have opened! Proud mamma on the loose! i can’t help myself.. Here’s one more.” Like we said — we don’t mind! Send any amount of cute baby pix our way and we’ll all be happy campers.

We had so much fun with our “Guess the Celeb Rock” game we played with you last week that it had us inspired. It may not be jewelry this week, but it’s still something all of us go ohhh over every time: the baby bump. We’ve got 10 celebrity mothers lined up in a row in our gallery, but you have to go in sequence. Start with clicking on the first picture and guess away. Hilary Duff spent Friday at an ice-skating rink in Santa Monica for a Danskin fundraising event, which raised money for her Blessings in a Backpack charity. She looked gorgeous in a mustard sweater and gray boots — and by the looks of them, they’re not too high-heeled, so props for style and comfort. We may not be experts in baby bump mathematics but that there looks about ready to pop to us. We love how she looks in these photographs because Hils is the epitome of a glowing, happy mum-to-be right now.

We’re noticing a trend among celeb bloggers and journalists these days — and by the way, kids, in the biz, we declare three of anything a “trend”: Everyone is obsessed with boobs. Weird, right? Actually, I mean they’re obsessed with the growing mammary glands of famous pregnant ladies.
Mammary glands like these:
Which, yeah, Jessica Simpson’s are kind of hard to ignore, but they always were. Also, Jessica joked about them herself:
Hilary Duff spilled the beans on an upcoming episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show that airs this coming Monday. With all the interest surrounding her pregnancy, the wee songstress revealed that she’s going to have a baby boy! It’s not that much of a surprise to her because she said she “had a feeling it was a boy the whole time.” About her pregnancy itself (it’s been four months), she’s been lucky enough not to go through any morning sickness just yet. “But it’s kind of like a little alien has taken over your body,†Hilary told Ellen, adding, “You just don’t quite feel normal. But it’s cool. It’s been good.” Great news! Now onwards with all the blue and yellow color coding for the little Duffster when he arrives!
Maybe it’s a good thing Hilary Duff is out of Bonnie and Clyde. She was dropped from the movie when it was announced that Hils is preggo! Fantastic news, of course, but her being nixed sucked even more because getting booted out of a movie right after “Baby!” is such a downer.
However, getting kicked off Bonnie and Clyde has meant getting a $100,000 check as a severance fee for Hilary. Translation: she just scored a hundred grand for doing nothing at all. Sources told TMZ that Hilary had a “play-or-pay” contract where it was stipulation that the studio would have to give her a hefty fee, if they in any event, decided to not go with her. And it actually happened so she’s pocketed the considerable spare change. But when she was asked about the whole deal this weekend, Hils said, “I don’t wanna give them any more press than they’ve already gotten off me … I think [my] baby is a little bit more exciting.” Oof. Meow … and yes, getting babied deffo is!
