Fans were devastated when R&B’s cutest couple, Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo, called it quits last month. Now Sparks has talked to The Gossip Table’s Chloe Melas, spilling details about the next steps in her life.
Jordin Sparks has been one of my absolute favorites stars ever since way back in her American Idol days! So thank God she was at the VH1 offices today to promote her new movie Left Behind, and thank God even more that I was there to stalk her in an elevator and ask her just about everything possible!!!!
A lot of focus is always put on how short men in Hollywood are. It’s like the ultimate optical illusion, right? They seem so larger-than-life on screen, but in real life they’re itty-bitty Lilliputs with lifts in their shoes (we’re looking at you, Tom Cruise). The awkward part of the equation? There are a ton of super-tall female stars in celebdom! Pairing Amazonian beauties with legs up to their chins with tiny guys only makes the dudes look smaller — and the women look enormous.
Hence, the lowkey platform man-shoes. And kitten heels for the women. As Nicole Kidman famously quipped on David Letterman, shortly after her divorce, “I can finally wear high heels again!”
Seems unfair. Women should be able to flaunt their height for the sexy-as-hell asset that it is — Napoleon-esque dudes, be damned. From Liv Tyler to Ciara, these 10 lusciously leggy superstars do exactly that. They’re the tallest women in celebdom, and they own it! In unrelated news, we’d like to come back in our next life as Charlize Theron.

By now you’ve heard the furor over Instagram’s new policy — which will take effect in a month — that basically allows them to own and sell users photographs without any compensation or prior permission. This happened after Facebook bought out the comapany. Apart from the issues of privacy, which has thousands up in arms, celebrities are also going nuts because the policy states that photographs of users can also be appropriated for advertising purposes. You know what that means. Precious endorsement money gone down the drain. As expected, the world also decided to take their frustration about this decision out on Twitter. Out of all the angry tweets floating about, we culled out the top 10 most mad tweets sent out by celebrities who stated they were going to delete their accounts.
The good news is that with all this fuss and also, all the thousands of retweets of celebrity messages saying they were done with Instagram, the company has had a change of heart. A new, long, apologetic and detailed statement is up on the Instagram blog, written by co-founder Kevin Systrom, saying that, “… As we review your feedback and stories in the press, we’re going to modify specific parts of the terms to make it more clear what will happen with your photos.” The most important point clarified is about advertising, as Systrom writes, “Advertising is one of many ways that Instagram can become a self-sustaining business, but not the only one. Our intention in updating the terms was to communicate that we’d like to experiment with innovative advertising that feels appropriate on Instagram.” And here comes the clarification: “Instead it was interpreted by many that we were going to sell your photos to others without any compensation. This is not true and it is our mistake that this language is confusing. To be clear: it is not our intention to sell your photos. We are working on updated language in the terms to make sure this is clear.”
There’s a lot more in there about ownership and privacy writes, so give it a read here. Until then, enjoy the celebrity tweets that most probably helped in Instagram scrambling to get this statement up! Yee-haw for star power!
Black reinstated itself as the it color at VH1 Divas last night at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. It had been relegated into the shadows thanks to the summer brights trend over the last few months. It was the shade to wear as evident by the evidence on the red carpet and on stage! Stacy Keibler wore it via a Monique Lhullier skintight suit and Jimmy Choo shoes, while Keri Hilson took it on through a Pucci jumpsuit, Christian Louboutin shoes while blinging up with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Demi Lovato wore black with a sweet Topshop dress with lace overlay shoulders while Miley Cyrus not only wore it with lots of metal embellishments on stage, but also as she arrived, in a sexy cut-out Omo by Norma Kamali dress. It’s like those two were at opposite ends of the spectrum with Demi being sugar and Miley being the spice! Ciara was sleek and sexy in a sequined Pamella Roland gown and that’s not all. Jordin Sparks, NeNe Leakes, Amber Riley, Elisha Cuthbert and more wore black to the show making it the biggest trend of the night. Check out our gallery below for all the looks and tell us what you think, and who your favorites are.

Onstage at VH1 DIVAS tonight, the name of the game was the glitzier the better, as befits a dance-themed show. But before the likes of Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, Keri Hilson and more hit the stage in their best studded leather and sequins, they all had very different ideas of how to approach the purple carpet. It was just the kind of daring and diversity that makes these artists the perfect guests for a celebration of diva-tude. There was Demi Lovato looking rockabilly cute and Ciara doing old-Hollywood glam. Jordin Sparks and Bootsy Collins sparkled, while Brandy and Kat Graham donned edgy white and ivory.
Whatever their approach, none of these ladies and gentlemen was about to fade into the crowd.

Over the past year nail art has reached new heights of popularity among celebrities — and regular people too. Stars usually step out on the red carpet with a fresh manicure, but of late, nails have stopped being merely an accessory and have evolved into a focal point. Zooey Deschanel kicked off the year with adorable tuxedo nails at the 2012 Golden Globes and Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Rihanna and Amber Rose have followed suit, stepping up the style on their digits and, for our benefit, documenting their creativity on Instagram and Twitter along the way.

How we wish these three ladies could have been on the best-dressed list at the 2012 American Music Awards instead. You can check out all our coverage on VH1 Tuner as well. We’re sad to include this trio here, but we have to be honest: These looks really tanked. We’ll start with Christina Aguilera. She has such a pretty face, so we can’t understand why she has to ladle on so much makeup? We want to scrub her face with a sponge! The Pamela Roland gown she wore in white and shades of purple looked far too tight, even though it was supposed to be draped, and her Jimmy Choo heels were too clunky and by far the wrong choice for this. It also kills us that Gwen Stefani‘s Balmain Fall 2012 black velvet embellished blazer fit so badly! She wore the jacket with leather pants and a black bralet and it just didn’t work at all because the Balmain outweighed everything else. Except her face, which looked gorgeous. Lastly, we applaud Jordin Sparks for trying to pull off something as avant-garde as this net and patchwork Etro Fall 2012 gown, but it wore her instead. It requires some experience and sartorial savvy to wear something like this, and while Jordin is getting there, she isn’t quite at the level yet. Better luck next time for all. We know these three have a lot more in them!

Wedding bells might be in the future for Jordin Sparks! The lovely American Idol alum spoke to Us Weekly on the red carpet of the City Of Hope Honors on Wednesday, and admitted that she and boyfriend Jason Derulo have already discussed marriage. It’s been a rough year for the two love birds; Jordin had to cope with the loss of her friend and Sparkle co-star Whitney Houston, and Jason broke his neck during a freak dancing accident! But they’ve found strength in each other, and are starting to talk taking things to the next level.
“It’s not a conversation that we’re scared about,” Sparks told the magazine. “Before, we both went through tragedies this year. He broke his neck and then Whitney passed. So before it might have been a little too crazy.” All of the hardships not only brought them closer together, but made them realize what really matters in life. “You really see the people you love and you go ‘I don’t want to lose you,’ ” she continued. “So it’s a conversation we have, but we’re not in a rush.” Although she admitted that she “hopes” he does eventually get down on one knee. And so do we! Although they’ve barely been together for over a year, the sweetness between these two is undeniable. Check out some of their cutest moments in the gallery below!
The City Of Hope Honors Halston gala took place at Exchange L.A. in Los Angeles yesterday, and while that in itself is worthy of polite applause — we’re getting used to mega parties around these parts so excuse the blase, okay? —- we’re a lot more enthusiastic about the guestlist. The very small guestlist worth getting excited about, we mean! Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks and Britney Spears were all there — in formal wear! See? You just got a little giggly too, didn’t you? We’ll get straight to Britney, because as you can see above, and to your surprise and ours, she wasn’t a hot mess. She’s looking pretty sexy in that silver, backless Halston dress, which she paired with YSL shoes, Alexis Bittar jewelry and some mega hair extensions. Then, there was the more pared-down Miley Cyrus, and can we just say, we think she looks totally cute? There is serious love for her right now in this outfit, also because her hair looks just perfect with it! She performed at the do wearing that Temperley London vest and pants. Yes … pants. We wish to hell it was a skirt, but it’s not, so we’re just going to pretend it’s one anyway. Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Loree Rodkin jewels completed her outfit. Completing the trio, and also performing, was Jordin who was the sleekest of the lot. That black gown — could it be Halston or Michael Kors? — is stunning on her, especially with that curtain of silky, straight hair. Three very different looks from three very different personalities, but who was best-dressed for the night? That’s up to you to tell us!
