Fashion Report: It’s A Very Bright Red Carpet At The American Country Awards

Fashion 2012 American Country Awards

It wasn’t a groundbreaking red carpet at the 2012 American Country Awards — held last night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Vegas — but it certainly was a colorful one. Kristin Chenoweth made sure she stood out in an electric blue Rafael Cennamo gown with Jimmy Choo heels. Her Martin Katz earrings matched the gown, as well. Natasha Bedingfield chose bright green, with a floor-length gown that has a long, key-hole neckline that showed off plenty of cleavage. Carmen Electra may have been wearing white, but with that intricate bodice and that perfectly placed slit in the skirt, could you have missed her?

Carrie Underwood picked a sparkling peach flapper style mini-dress by Georges Chakra Couture dress with complementary fringed gold heels by Brian Atwood. Lindell jewlery, and a Daniel Swarovski clutch also were a part of the ensemble. Miranda Lambert was eye-catching, but for all the wrong reasons, in an ill-fitting, not very flattering black and silver Reem Acra dress and boring Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes. Jacob & Co. jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch finished the outfit.  LeAnn Rimes wore a figure-hugging but sombre, black Dolce & Gabbana dress with super hot Tom Ford shoes and large clutch, a Lori Rodkin ring and Shylee Rose earrings. The Not-So Stylin’ List For The CMA Awards, Better Luck Next Time, Ladies!

Worst-dressed List At The CMA Awards

There were an equal amount of sparkles on this not-so-stylish list as they were on the best-dressed list at the CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee last night. But it’s alright, there’s always next time. We do admit that hostess of the evening, Carrie Underwood, being on up here is a bit of a surprise considering she’s normally so perfectly (if no predictably dressed.) But something doesn’t feel right with this Reem Acra dress. Perhaps it’s because it looks like there’s poison ivy creeping up her bodice? The detailing doesn’t work at all. We do love the Swarovski clutch and that massive Jonathan Arndt ring, though. Kimberly Williams-Paisley wasn’t much of a fight for us, as the slit combined with the super shiny fabric on her metallic dress (which matched her shoes) didn’t do it for us the second we saw her pictures. We love Miranda Lambert and covet her emerald and gold Sutra earrings. But the beige Maria Lucia Hohan dress looked completely flat against her coloring and besides that, the bodice needs a good yank up. Faith Hill so stunning as well, which is why we don’t understand why she would pick a Roland Mouret gown that is such a snore on her? The fit isn’t particularly great either. We get what Lucy Hale was trying to achieve here with her Moschino gown: grown-up vintage glamor with a hint of a contemporary touch. So, we do love the hair and the makeup and all the accessories — the Casadei shoes, the Kotur purse, the Nikki Baker earrings and House of Lavande ring. But the black sequined embellishment just looks a bit haphazard on her, so we’re not digging it as much as we’d like to. But that doesn’t mean you don’t? Let us know what your thoughts are!

Red Carpet Report: The 2012 CMT Music Awards Brings Out The Stars

2012 CMT Music Awards Red Carpet

The 2012 CMT Music Awards went down last night at The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and definitely wasn’t all about country music, sartorially speaking! Of course, country superstars were present. Carrie Underwood rocked a Randi Rahm mini cocktail dress covered in silver paillettes. She also wore a pair of hardcore S&M looking Gio Diev heel along with the outfit. Hillary Scott was sexy in a black Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress and David Webb jewelry while Jordin Sparks looked ethereal in a flowing Kevan Hall gown with Jimmy Choo shoes. Sara Evans also went glam in a draped Julian Joyce Made By Mandalay gunmetal sequin dress.

But, as we said, this wasn’t all about the country ladies. Ashley Greene was also at the event in a lovely pale pink Donna Karan atelier dress with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. Denise Richards, Jennie Garth and Hayden Panettiere also posed on the red carpet but the best-dressed of the night definitely went to Kristen Bell. She shut it down in a shimmering gold Reem Acra gown with delicate sheer cap sleeves and a pop of red lipstick. We need to see more of that action on Kristen! Take a look at all the fashion in our gallery below.

Ashton Kutcher, Ginnifer Goodwin, Coco And The 20 Best Celebrity Hats Of The 2012 Kentucky Derby

I’ll Have Another was wearing the roses after Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, but we all know he wasn’t the only star of the event, which has become as much about watching the attendees as it is about the horses. As in years past, celebs put on their derby best to enjoy a day of mint juleps and betting. Although there was little sun in the sky, the folks in Churchill Downs were still seen wearing everything from traditional Kentucky Derby hats to some more elaborate and daring headwear. Coco, Ginnifer Goodwin, Cyndi Lauper, Star Jones, Mary J. Blige and Miranda Lambert were among the ladies showing off straw, feathers, flowers and bows on their heads. Even a few male celebs, like Ashton Kutcher, Kellan Lutz and Joey Fatone, joined in on all the hat fun. Here’s a look at the 20 best celebrity hats at this year’s Kentucky Derby.

Gowns Rule The Best-Dressed List For The Academy Of Country Music Awards

Country music stars were seriously out to play last night. The Academy of Country Music Awards took place in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the hardware came out. We spotted some really beautiful gowns that looked positively Oscars worthy. Looking much like that coveted statuette was Miranda Lambert who rocked it in a Randi Rahm gold dress. On the softer side were Carrie Underwoodwearing a sheer draped Abed Mahfouz Couture gown, as well as Kimberly Perry who floated around in a princess-like soft gold dress. Extra points for the mussed hair!

Other stand outs for us were Laura Bell Bundy in a dramatic draped silver gown covered in sequins and Taylor Swift who was a tall drink of water in white J. Mendel. The gown itself had small cut-outs on the waist, which were a nice, minimal touch. The most unusual gown goes to Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland who wore a fabulous pink-coral gown, but with a yellow waistband. Who would have thought that would’ve looked as good as it did? We would have also thought that Hillary Scott‘s long black Emilio Pucci would’ve been a little too Morticia Adams for us, but it was jazzed up with a big buckle cinched at the waist. Apart from all the gowns, the one cocktail frock that made it to this list was Nicole Kidman who looked severe, but incredibly sexy in a black L’Wren Scott dress. Way to stand out! Take a look at all the photographs in the gallery below and let us know what you think?

The Ladies Who Should’ve Upped The Stakes On The Hunger Games Carpet

We’re not trying to pick on anyone here. We just feel these three lovely ladies should’ve really gone all out on the Hunger Games red carpet. They should go all out on any carpet, for that matter. They’ve got the stylists, the fame, the looks and the cash to back it up. That’s why we can’t understand why someone like Shailene Woodley would put this gown on? It’s misshapen, tent-like, and that print gives us a headache. Or Kelly Osbourne? She’s normally a style maven but we can’t come to terms with the lavender hair, grim suit and mismatched shoes. Then there’s Miranda Lambert, who we think is adorable, but should not have put on this ill-fitting dress. It makes her look a bit stuffed, especially in the cleavage area. Plus, the hair should have been worked differently. Take it as constructive criticism, ladies. We’re looking forward to you knocking it out of the ballpark on the next carpet.

Celebrities Flock To Indianapolis To Watch The Super Bowl

You would think that a bunch of stars showed up in Indianapolis to watch the Super Bowl last night, and you would be right. We spotted a fair amount of them thanks to Twitter. Jessica Simpson, Lenny Kravitz and Rosie O’Donnell all tweeted photographs of themselves at the game. Husband-and-wife duo, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton sang “America the Beautiful” right before kick-off. Seal was out with his camera. And after her pregame concert, you couldn’t miss Katy Perry either with her blue hair and crazy mismatched outfit (her shoes were different colors). And of course, Gisele Bundchen was there to console husband Tom Brady after his team lost. Check out all the photographs in our gallery below.

American Country Awards: Who Wins Hottest Legs And Cleavage?

So, Jason Aldean was the big winner at last night’s American Country Awards (seriously, country music people, how many freaking awards shows do you need?!?), taking home six prizes. Carrie Underwood took home a not-too-shabby three, while fellow Idol alum Scotty McCreery got New Artist of the Year. But those aren’t the titles we here at TheFABlife are interested in giving out. We saw the kind of skin and curves Carrie, Kristin Chenoweth, Jordin Sparks, Miranda Lambert and the JaneDear Girls’ Susie Brown were flashing. They may be “country,” but they know how to play up their sex appeal, big-city style. The question is, who did it best? Take a closer look and vote!

Miranda Lambert Is Country Badass: Style Seen

Country superstar Miranda Lambert stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live today to promote her brand-new album Four the Record. But her outfit reminded us more of her side project the Pistol Annies‘ song “Hell on Heels.” While her sequined top does hint at the country music scene’s love of glamor, her beaded leather jacket, tough-girl rings and mile-high strappy platforms make her seem like she’d be at home at a biker bar or Sunset Strip rock club. Even her fashion sense has crossover appeal! Check out the details after the jump.
