With new wardrobe restrictions put in place for the 2013 Grammys, music’s biggest stars had to find other ways to turn heads that didn’t include the words “see-through” or “fleshy under curves.” In addition to hot arm candy, the best accessory for the red carpet and beyond was all sparkly everything. It sounds like Taylor Swift’s attempt at a reunion with ex-boyfriend Harry Styles was unsuccessful. The love-lorn songstress flew to England earlier this week allegedly for work, but there were loud whispers that the journey was actually to try to win back the heart of the One Direction star, who reportedly dumped her because she was “asexual and wouldn’t put out.” Charming.
“Taylor was desperate to meet up with Harry in London, but he totally ignored her,” a friend close to the two told RadarOnline. “He told her he had too much going on, even though she purposely arranged to stay at a hotel that wasn’t too far away from his home.” The source went on to add that Harry was a little freaked out by Taylor’s intensity, which probably isn’t helped by her habit of purchasing real estate near to her suitors. ”Harry found Taylor a little too full-on and scary, and he was put off by how serious she was about him after such a short period of time.”
Fans of Haylor, this could be your lucky day! Mere weeks after the short-lived couple met their extremely timely demise, Taylor Swift had a reunion with her ex (?) Harry Styles. Taylor flew to the One Direction star’s native England yesterday, and according to an insider “she has no obvious reason or promo duties in London this week.” Ohhh damn, you know what that means! “There’s talk of a meeting with Harry being on the cards,” the source continued to the UK Star. That would certainly explain why T-Swift checked in to a hotel near his home. “Harry has just got back from a small tour in Japan with the band, and now has four days off.”
The real question is why the pair are meeting up? Are they trying to work it out and get things started fresh? That could be hard, considering the fact that Harry apparently broke up with his superstar girlfriend because she “didn’t put out.” Ehh, that’s the kind of thing that might be hard for Taylor (or anyone) to forgive. Who knows, maybe she’s trying to get some closure on the whole affair and end things on a nice note, i.e. one that isn’t the title breakup track on her latest album.

Quit sharpening your swords and making blood oaths everyone: Michael J. Fox and Taylor Swift are cool! Well, obviously they are cool. If we could pick three celebs to have lunch with, they would be two of them. (The third would be Jesus, since he could just take his lunch and make four lunches. Free personal pan pizza, ya’ll!) We mean they are cool, in as much as Taylor is not offended about those hilariously mean jokes Michael J. Fox made at her expense this week about dating his son Sam. That kind of cool.
“Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good. Thank you for having my back,” TSwift tweeted this afternoon. Frankly, we think it’s a testament to Taylor’s sweetness that she was able to get over comments like “Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career.” and song title suggestions like “‘Sam, You Piece of S—’” so quickly. She probably reasoned that Michael J. Fox might want to be able to use the Internet at some point in the future without all her fans nailing him to the cyber wall. Does anyone think we’ll look back at this moment and realize that this is how her relationship with Sam Fox actually started? Yeah, we think so too, Mwahahahaha!

Wow. This conversations sounds a little familiar: After Taylor Swift ditched her preppy schoolgirl stripes and shorts for sophisticated lady gowns at last week’s Golden Globes and People’s Choice Awards, the tabs are once again calling “boob job!” They did this back in April, when a couple of dresses (and, we think, push-up bras) drew attention to the changing size of TSwift’s bosoms. Today comes a story from In Touch magazine that quotes a plastic surgeon, who has not treated Swift (and now never will!), saying she “received a bust boost back in April,” based on the same photos we’ve all been staring at for too long. Dr. Michael Fiorillo told the magazine (via the Daily Mail) that “you can see the implants” that bring her from an A to a B cup.

While this is being filed firmly under the rumor category, you can’t deny that this feels like vintage Taylor Swift. It’s true — she always has a new man on her arm within a month of breaking up with someone. Someone suggested the term “serial dater” but we’ll demur from using that term for now. As you know, Ms. Swift and One Direction’s Harry Styles are done and dusted. Finito. They’re never, ever getting back together. But it seems like the you can’t keep the lady down too long, because sources suggest she tried to rope in Bradley Cooper on a date through Jennifer Lawrence while at the Golden Globes. Quick flowchart: Taylor and Jennifer are friends, Jennifer and Bradley are co-stars on Silver Linings Playbook. Another friend has suggested the term “trading up,” but again, we’ll demur.
Unfortunately, even in rumorville, things have not gone according to plan for Taylor, because Brad wasn’t exactly up for the date. Sources say, “Bradley has absolutely no intention of getting together with Taylor. First of all, her reputation precedes her. Bradley is very wary of dating someone who is a bit of a serial dater like Taylor. He thinks she’s far too young for him and wants to date someone his own age, not 16-years younger because he’s ready for something serious. It was a little awkward for Bradley. Jennifer came to him and told him that Taylor was interested in getting together. He had to politely decline, knowing full well that Jennifer and Taylor are friends.” Awkward! And the final nail in the coffin? This quote, “It was an ambitious move from Taylor, but she’s going to have fixate on someone else as Bradley’s just not that into her.” Is it just us, or are “sources” even sounding like 16-year-olds now?

Yes, we are most certainly reading too much into the psychology of Taylor Swift’s red carpet gowns at last night’s Golden Globes and Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. At the same time, it takes a lot of thought and effort to keep your ladies in place and looking good in a deep-cut V or backless gown, so TSwift had plenty of time to think about what kind of message she was sending. These are sophisticated, sexy looks that remind us she’s a 23-year-old woman, not a teenage pop-tart. So, is this her declaration to the world that she’s done with teenage boys like Harry Styles and Connor Kennedy? This is the part we hate about any awards show. In this case, we’re obviously talking about last night’s Golden Globes, of which a truly stellar best-dressed list has already been published by us. But didn’t really want to call this a worst-dressed list, because the women we’re enumerating are too gorgeous to be worst-anything. We’re just a tad disappointed in their outfits because we expect so much more from them. Like Taylor Swift, for instance. While her brown Donna Karan Atelier gown is quite nice, it’s nothing to write home about. Also wearing brown, was Lena Dunham, but we find her Zac Posen a bit prom-ish on her. Moving on to the orange bracket, perhaps the biggest disappointment is our girl crush Marion Cotillard. We have such high expectations of her. And while the color of her Christian Dior Couture dress is punchy, it doesn’t grab us. Nor does the lacklustre hair. No amount of her Frenchitude can convince us of otherwise. Also, wearing orange was Zooey Deschanel in an Oscar de la Renta ball-gown with pearls around her neck. It’s the same old, same old, basically. We need her to shake things up. Besides, is it just us, or does her outfit look … droopy? The lone pastel is provided by Julianne Hough‘s frothy Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2013 gown which looks like it has gold confetti strewn over it. Someone needs to tell Julianne that she isn’t, in fact, a Disney Princess.
On to our three blues. Rosario Dawson and Jessica Chastain wore the same icy shade. But the peplum on Rosario’s version, in pictures, made the very slim actress look rather wide. Not flattering at all. Jessica’s Calvin Klein wasn’t flattering either. The fit, especially around the bodice looked clumsy. The third blue on the least is more a teal, provided by Julie Bowen. Her one-shouldered, Halston gown looked like a bolt of fabric that had been tacked on her. We love the armful of bracelets, though. Rounding up the list are the two black dresses. The semi-sheer Louis Vuitton gown on Rachel Weisz is just — the less said the better. She still has Daniel Craig as a husband so it doesn’t matter what she wears. And then, lastly, we have Kristen Wiig in Michael Kors. Too simple? Too — those cut-outs have us iffy. Better luck next time, all!

Whoa now, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are never ever ever getting back together! At least if the rumors that the One Direction heartthrob threw her over because she “didn’t put out” enough are true. Damn son, that’s pretty cold. If Joe Jonas got that song written about him when he famously broke up with Taylor over a 27-second phone call, Harry’s gonna get a full fledged country-pop opera!
According to a report from RadarOnline, the couple known as “Haylor” crashed and burned because they just weren’t “sexually incompatible.” For example, he apparently wanted to have sex, and she wanted to…talk about antiques? Whatever floats your boat, we guess. ”Harry found Taylor a little sexually uninterested,” says a friend of the British boyband. ”While it was clear she obviously had a thing for Harry, Taylor didn’t want to put out as often as he would’ve liked. Harry is a young boy, with ladies throwing themselves at him and has had a string of relationships with older women. It’s no secret he’s sexually active and is enjoying his fame at the moment. But Taylor just wasn’t up for it as much as he is.”
The categories and winners for the People’s Choice Awards are always all over the place — those crystal trophies went to everything from The Hunger Games to Castle to The Wanted tonight — and appropriately enough, the red carpet was just as eclectic, in a really good way most of the time. Some stars, like Julianne Hough and Kaley Cuoco went for short and flirty. Rumer Willis went for sparkly as hell, while Taylor Swift opted for an edgier white that reminded us of something Katharine Hepburn would have rocked back in the day. We welcomed the return of Rachael Leigh Cook to the awards-show circuit, and she wowed us in a beautiful, floor-length blue gown. In the gentlemen’s department, we were digging the different (but still quite respectable) suits on Giancarlo Esposito and Eddie Redmayne. And last but not least, we cannot get enough of Chloe Grace Moretz’s daring red carpet looks — no one can wear neon like a 15-year-old!
