While you were sleeping, Beyoncé unleashed a cascade of sexiness in the form of a 14 song, 17 video “visual album.” Her self-titled fifth LP–released in full with zero promotion–follows husband Jay Z‘s 2013 mantra #newrules and has had us–and Parks and Recreation‘s Retta!–bugging ever since it landed on iTunes early Friday.
A lot of focus is always put on how short men in Hollywood are. It’s like the ultimate optical illusion, right? They seem so larger-than-life on screen, but in real life they’re itty-bitty Lilliputs with lifts in their shoes (we’re looking at you, Tom Cruise). The awkward part of the equation? There are a ton of super-tall female stars in celebdom! Pairing Amazonian beauties with legs up to their chins with tiny guys only makes the dudes look smaller — and the women look enormous.
Hence, the lowkey platform man-shoes. And kitten heels for the women. As Nicole Kidman famously quipped on David Letterman, shortly after her divorce, “I can finally wear high heels again!”
Seems unfair. Women should be able to flaunt their height for the sexy-as-hell asset that it is — Napoleon-esque dudes, be damned. From Liv Tyler to Ciara, these 10 lusciously leggy superstars do exactly that. They’re the tallest women in celebdom, and they own it! In unrelated news, we’d like to come back in our next life as Charlize Theron.

We have made no secret of our intense crush on Kerry Washington here at VH1, and you know we’re not alone. So why in Olivia Pope’s name would Lucky magazine feel the need to mess with her perfect face on the cover of the December/January issue? The too-small eyes, dimension-less teeth render and the weird angle of her head render her basically unrecognizable. But she’s certainly not the first celebrity to endure involuntary cosmetic surgery at the hands of overzealous editors and art directors.
So, we’re still reeling from the news this week that Man of Steel hottie Henry Cavill and Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco are really dating. It seemed to happen so quickly, that we can’t help but wonder if they’re the real thing–or, like the 10 short-lived romances on our list, just a summer fling…
Mad Men’s effect on pop culture is undeniable (what else would explain the popularity of trapezoid coffee tables and hipsters ordering Manhattans in dive bars?). The show’s most lasting influence has been on fashion — from A-line frocks a’la Betty to mod, Meagen-esque shifts, everyone wants a piece of this mid-century fabulosity! Read more…

Taylor Swift should learn to never pick fights with comedians because…she’ll never win, y’know? Just days after essentially telling Amy Poehler and Tina Fey that they have a special spot in hell for making a gentle gibe at her during the Golden Globes, Chelsea Handler is now jumping headlong into the frey. And she’s definitely not so gentle.
Also, what is Jessica Simpson‘s favorite pregnancy snack? Why is Taylor Swift so terrified of drinking wine in marble bathtubs? And how is Russell Crowe making sure that Les Miserables co-star Samantha Barks isn’t left on her own? All this and more in this morning’s The Scoop.
