Saturday Night Liveis celebrating its 40th anniversary on February 15, and VH1 Classic is throwing the marathon of a lifetime. Beginning tomorrow, the network will air “SNL Rewind: 2015- 1975 Mega Marathon,” which will feature 433 hours of episodes, over the course of 19 days (Jan. 28-Feb. 15). Basically, if you’re an SNL stan, clear your schedule, because this is your wet dream come true. Read more…
Eva Longoria goes from desperate housewife to defense attorney, Andy Serkis‘ The Jungle Book gets another big time name, Kate Gosselin returns to TV, and more celebrity news that yo missed while you were sleeping.
We’ve already objectified the fine actresses of this fall’s upcoming new TV shows, so now it’s the men’s turn. Sure, the stars of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Tomorrow People will be saving the world, Sleepy Hollow’s and Almost Human’s cast will be saving their communities, Trophy Wife’s and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s dudes will be cracking us up, and Dracula and The Originals will be, um sucking — but we are also very pleased about the fact that they will be nice to look at while they do all these things. We are in the age of multitasking, people. Happy viewing!
Superstar Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live last night for the fifth time, thus putting him in the elite “Five-Timers Club”. He also reunited with Lonely Island cohort Andy Samberg, impersonated Elton John, stood next to the Three Amigos, and brought us all down to Veganville.
Oh, and he sang two songs from his new album, too.
It is without question that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are going to dominate this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony. We know this like we know the sun will rise tomorrow. Between their hosting gig and Andy Samberg‘s new job hosting the Independent Spirit Awards, we started to wonder which SNL alums have also tried their hands (and succeeded!) at the award show hosting game.
“Would you like to know the longest journey I’ve ever taken? It was the one into my own mind.” We always knew Andy Samberg would make an absolutely amazing dirty hippie, and the new trailer for his upcoming BBC show Cuckoo confirms those unconscious instincts. Honestly, no matter what his role would end up being, we couldn’t be happier to see Andy mugging for the camera again. Just because he left SNL doesn’t mean we want him to leave our hearts! Samberg will also be appearing in Aubrey Plaza‘s The To Do List next Valentine’s Day and Adam Sandler‘s Grown Ups 2 next year, in addition to portraying some kind of cartoon baby in Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, currently filming for a 2014 release date. In fact, it looks like all the recent SNL alums are going to be appearing on a screen of some particular size in the next few months. Thank the Comedy Lord…
Guys, this is looks good. Like Mean Girls good. Immediately following the announcement that it would premiere February 14, 2013, the To Do List trailer ticked off all the things we want to see in a teen movie. Things like Bill Hader, Donald Glover, Alia Shawkat, Rachel Bilson, and skorts. Most importantly, the To Do List has Parks and Rec‘s Aubrey Plaza as the goody-goody nerdlinger protagonist, who tries to put some notches on her belt before going off to college…with hilarious consequences! It goes without saying there will be hilarious consequences, right? So go on and watch the (sort of NSFW) trailer. It perfectly fulfills all our teen comedy needs. Needs like:
Grown Ups 2 is set…to have the most ridiculous cast list that we could ever imagine, that is. Paulina Gretzky has been added to the list and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us (in a nervous kind of way)! She recently made an appearance on our list of The 25 Most Scandalous Celeb Twitpics of 2012 but as if that wasn’t enough, she just posted a pic of her and her friend on the set of Grown Ups 2 rockin’ that bikini bod that we’ve become all too familiar with. Funny folks Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolf, and Chris Rock are teaming up with a whole grab bag of celebrity wildcards. Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner, Hunger Games hottie Alexander Ludwig, Steve Buscemi, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Salma Hayek are just a few of the other outrageous cast members that Gretzky will be working side-by-side with in Grown Ups 2. We think she will fit right in to this zany list.
