Tina And Amy Will Be Great, But How Will They Compare To Our 7 Favorite SNL Alum Hosts?

Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Host Golden Globes

It is without question that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are going to dominate this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony. We know this like we know the sun will rise tomorrow. Between their hosting gig and Andy Samberg‘s new job hosting the Independent Spirit Awards, we started to wonder which SNL alums have also tried their hands (and succeeded!) at the award show hosting game.

Andy Samberg’s Cuckoo Trailer Reminds Us That This Year’s SNL Alums Are Still Bringing The Guffaws

“Would you like to know the longest journey I’ve ever taken? It was the one into my own mind.” We always knew Andy Samberg would make an absolutely amazing dirty hippie, and the new trailer for his upcoming BBC show Cuckoo confirms those unconscious instincts. Honestly, no matter what his role would end up being, we couldn’t be happier to see Andy mugging for the camera again. Just because he left SNL doesn’t mean we want him to leave our hearts! Samberg will also be appearing in Aubrey Plaza‘s The To Do List next Valentine’s Day and Adam Sandler‘s Grown Ups 2 next year, in addition to portraying some kind of cartoon baby in Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, currently filming for a 2014 release date. In fact, it looks like all the recent SNL alums are going to be appearing on a screen of some particular size in the next few months. Thank the Comedy Lord…

The To Do List Red Band Trailer Checks Off Everything We Want In A Teen Comedy

Guys, this is looks good. Like Mean Girls good. Immediately following the announcement that it would premiere February 14, 2013, the To Do List trailer ticked off all the things we want to see in a teen movie. Things like Bill Hader, Donald Glover, Alia Shawkat, Rachel Bilson, and skorts. Most importantly, the To Do List has Parks and Rec‘s Aubrey Plaza as the goody-goody nerdlinger protagonist, who tries to put some notches on her belt before going off to college…with hilarious consequences! It goes without saying there will be hilarious consequences, right? So go on and watch the (sort of NSFW) trailer. It perfectly fulfills all our teen comedy needs. Needs like:

Paulina Gretzky And Her Bikini Are The Icing On The Cake For Grown Ups 2 Cast

Grown Ups 2 is set…to have the most ridiculous cast list that we could ever imagine, that is. Paulina Gretzky has been added to the list and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us (in a nervous kind of way)! She recently made an appearance on our list of The 25 Most Scandalous Celeb Twitpics of 2012 but as if that wasn’t enough, she just posted a pic of her and her friend on the set of Grown Ups 2 rockin’ that bikini bod that we’ve become all too familiar with. Funny folks Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolf, and Chris Rock are teaming up with a whole grab bag of celebrity wildcards. Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner, Hunger Games hottie Alexander Ludwig, Steve Buscemi, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Salma Hayek are just a few of the other outrageous cast members that Gretzky will be working side-by-side with in Grown Ups 2. We think she will fit right in to this zany list.

Andy Samberg Says Goodbye To Saturday Night Live After Seven Years Of Cupcakes, Boats And J–z

Andy Samberg quits SNL

Somewhere, Shy Ronnie is shedding a single tear. After seven years of hilarity on Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg has officially decided not to return to the show next season. There was definitely much speculation that the Digital Short pioneer would move on, especially when you consider her last clip was entitled “Lazy Sunday 2″, a tribute to video that made him famous back in 2005. From there the Digital Short segment often became the highlight of the otherwise live sketch show, providing classics like “D-ck In A Box,” “I’m On A Boat,” “J–z In My Pants,” and many many more.

“It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” he told The New York Times. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back…Something about it just feels like it’s the moment.” Perhaps it has something to do with the departure of fellow SNL class act, Kristen Wiig. No word yet on who will inherit Samberg’s Digital Short empire, but he wants to make sure that producers continue with the franchise, which has received an extra boost of star power from the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and Justin Bieber. “That’s the kind of thing that I really do hope happens,” he added.

Dude Watch At The MTV Movie Awards: 10 Gents Who Float Our Boats

Male stars, MTV Movie Awards

There’s nothin’ like a dude in a well-cut suit. Scratch that — there’s nothing like a dude in a well-cut anything. Which is why we love this selection of looks that these 10 male celebrities wore to the MTV Movie Awards. A lot of styles were represented. We had classic with Chris Hemsworth in a waistcoat and shirt. That man is so incredibly handsome. Andrew Garfield wore a tie and skinny pants, while Mario Lopez put on a blazer and V-neck. We had the bad boy in Diego Boneta who looked sexy as hell in leather jacket, and hipster, with Josh Hutcherson in a pork pie hat and sneakers. Andy Samberg toed the line between formal and casual, with a blazer teamed with kicks and a casual T-shirt. Perhaps the most eye-catching look of all came courtesy Joe Manganiello who wore a stripper-friendly fireman’s outfit on stage. Hello, abs! Take a look at the gallery below for all the hotness.

KStew Making Out With Herself Tops Our List Of 8 Amazingly Awkward MTV Movie Awards Moments

Kristen Stewart makes out with herself

How could you not love watching Kristen Stewart beg Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Taylor Lautner to come smooch her onstage while accepting the Best Kiss award … before just making out with herself instead? At the same time, how could you not cringe just a teensy bit? Can something be awkward and amazing simultaneously? Oh right, that pretty much sums up the entire MTV Movie Awards. Duh! KStew getting frisky with herself was only one awesomely squirm-worthy moment during tonight’s awards. Our other favorite rock-ward moments included:

2. Mila Kunis’ mystery heckler: What did that nutball yell at Mila while she was presenting the Dirtbag Award? Whatever it was, it nearly made Mark Wahlberg leap into the crowd to defend her honor. “And here I thought I was going to have to slap Russell,” he snarled at the unseen jerk. Whatever the mystery idiot said … awk-ward!

Magic Mike To Stacee Jaxx: Who Will Be Summer’s Funniest (And Sexiest) Men?

Mark Wahlberg, Matthew McConaughey, Ben Stiller Summer Movie Preview funny men

As The Avengers kick off summer movie season today with a bang or two (or 100), it’s easy enough to forget that blockbusters aren’t just about men in tights, showing off their massive CGI effects. On some of those sweltering days, you don’t want to step into a theater to worry about the fate of the world; you want to laugh your ass off. We’ve already looked at the ladies doing their part to make the season hilarious, and now it’s time for us to decide which of these sexy funnymen will be the sexiest and funniest at the multiplex from May through August.

This year, we have some double threats — the guys who will make us laugh and fan ourselves: Tom Cruise radiates sex as rock god Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, Matthew McConaughey sells it as strip-club owner Dallas in Magic Mike, and Mark Wahlberg hides it beneath a manchild exterior as John, the guy who tries to let go of his talking teddy bear in Ted. There are also the funny guys we crush on, no matter how goofy their characters, like Russell Brand as the narrator of Rock of Ages and Andy Samberg as Adam Sandler’s unfortunate son in That’s My Boy. There are the comedians we’d kind of like to take home to mom — Ed Norton and Jason Schwartzman in Moonrise Kingdom, Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill in Neighborhood Watch, Steve Carell in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Chris Rock in What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell in The Campaign. And then there are the bad boys we’d keep secret about, Vince Vaughn in Neighborhood Watch and Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator.

Sofia Vergara Shows Us What’s So Funny About The Hunger Games

We’ve been worried sick about the news that Gary Ross and Lionsgate are still on the fence about whether the director will return for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. (Negotiations are ongoing as of Monday, we hear.) Would anyone else be able to nail the tone of this story the way he did? But now, we’ve decided not to fret, thanks to Sofia Vergara and Saturday Night Live, who showed us what the movie would be like in the hands of someone, well, less reverent.

In a pink Effie Trinket wig, Vergara shimmied, laughed and gave a great Univision-worthy yell as the Capitol’s newest Hunger Games correspondent, Maria Gutierrez, reporting live from the arena and enjoying herself immensely as the kids stab each other nearby. And in the studio, Bill Hader and Fred Armisen yukked it up as Claudius and Caesar, echoing a number of silly sports news show SNL’s done over the years.
