It’s TLC week here at VH1, so we thought we’d get in on the action Celebrity-style, in honor of the group’s most biting song, “No Scrubs.” The world is full of guys who think they’re fly, always talking ’bout what they want and sitting on their broke asses. What’s amazing is when highly successful, beautiful women fall victim to these men (who, OK, aren’t necessarily broke, but they’re morally bankrupt, at least). Well, at least the women on this list finally took TLC’s advice and told them, basically, to stop hollering at them.
Eat, Pray, Love represents a melding of two of our favorite things – movies and eating. But if it disappoints us the way Julie and Julia did (Amy Adams, we still haven’t forgive you or that ugly wig!) we might have to give up on the inspiring food film genre. The New York premiere for Eat, Pray, Love was host to not only the biggest stars from the film – yum yum, Javier Bardem, and also that Julia Roberts chick – and also plenty of celebs from the food world. Our girl Gail Simmons, who we love from Top Chef, was on hand, as were several chefs from the Food Network. Don’t get us started on why semi-half-assed Sandra Lee was there though, we still haven’t figured her out. We’re guessing she cooked James Franco and ate him while guzzling a signature cocktail though, since he’s suspiciously absent.

For years, the show Entourage has confused us. Main character Vincent Chase and his lovable gang of loser sidekicks hang around in L.A., living off of Vinnie’s multi-million dollar salary because he is the Leo DiCaprio of this fictional world, the A-list actor everyone loves. And yet Adrian Grenier, the actor who plays the perpetually laid-back and unshaven Vinnie, is not. Grenier is B-list or maybe even C-list when it comes to his fame, not even coming close to the superhero roles Vinnie gets (remember the time he was Anne Hathaway‘s boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada? We barely do either!) I mean, how bad is it that the guy playing his agent is more famous than he is in real life?
So with the premiere of the new season of Entourage and poor Adrian/Vinnie as our inspiration, we thought of ten other actors who sadly are not nearly as famous as the roles they play on TV and in the movies. We have hope that some of them will someday make it to the big time, but unfortunately, for some others, the time seems to have passed. Click through our gallery to see the actors who wish they were their on-screen counterparts.
OMG – Angela Chase has got married to someone way hotter than Jordan Catalano. For anyone under the age of about 28, yes, it’s actually Claire Danes who’s got hitched to her hot British actor boyfriend Hugh Dancy. The under-the-radar pair wed earlier this month in France, with no further details forthcoming about exactly when or where.
The couple has been together since 2006, and have kept their romance pretty low-key – especially considering Claire was at the centre of a scandal in 2004, when Billy Crudup left his then-pregnant girlfriend Mary-Louise Parker for her. We’re just hoping against hope that the newlyweds double-barrell their surnames to create the brilliant new Dancy-Danes or Danes-Dancy combo. Congratulations!
