If you’re like us, you’ve been following this election nonstop for a while — and if you’re like us, you mean the presidential election as much as the Twi-Fight going on over on MTV. Now we’re on pins and needles waiting to see if Kate or Jasper could possibly pull off an upset against Bella and Edward. But we also think it was kind of sadistic to pit the Cullens against any of the other vampires in the franchise. That’s why we decided to make our own little contest here this week — and to make the criteria a little bit simpler: we’re asking you to judge Volturi, Denalis, Amazonians and James’ crew all alike, purely based on their hotness. This is also tough, considering the fact that in Stephenie Meyer‘s mythology, all vampires are hot. But your blood might sing for some more than others. We managed to narrow this down to 20 vamps in all, now it’s your turn! Peruse the pics and vote. Poll closes Monday at 8 a.m.
Last night, we covered the Hollywood Film Awards gala wearing an Old Navy dress and some chunky boots from three seasons ago. Luckily the A-listers with whom we chatted on the red carpet have impeccable taste — and skilled stylists — and posed in outfits worthy of the #1 spot on every best-dressed list on the Web. Michelle Williams (recipient of the Hollywood Actress Award), Emma Stone (honored with the cast of The Help), Carey Mulligan (Hollywood Supporting Actress Award), Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Elle Fanning were all working it last night, making us drool with envy over their dresses. And guys like Tom Felton, George Clooney and the always adorable Joseph Gordon-Levitt, suited up and smiled for the cameras too. The event, held at the iconic Beverly Hilton, is the unofficial kick-off to awards season, and the stars brought their A-game last night. It’s gonna be a long four months of parties, press, drama and dresses galore. We.Cannot.Effing.Wait.
We’ve got out favorite looks — and behind the scenes moments — in the gallery below.
Not that sexy could ever go away completely with a woman like Uma Thurman, but lately it’s been on a little bit of a time out. Recently she’s gone the who earthy-but-unkempt route and we were getting so tired of her looking scraggly. That situation has been remedied as of now, considering she pulled out all the stops at the Ceremony premiere in Hollywood.
This metallic trench-coat inspired dress looks like liquid gold on her. And can we just say, with that fabric and that shine, you can’t have an ounce of extra cellulite on you, or it’ll show. Not that Uma needs to worry about that. We also love the Jimmy Choo stilettos. Also starring with Uma in the movie is Michael Angarano — also known as Kristen Stewart‘s ex-boyfriend — and BTW, we still wonder how the relationship proceeded from him to Rpattz? Bryce Dallas Howard also came to the premiere looking ethereal in an onion pink Reem Acra dress which you can check out in the gallery below.
Tired of Bella hogging the spotlight? Then check out this month’s issue of Vanity Fair which features the rest of the women of Twilightwho are all looking pretty gorgeous, and they don’t seem to have a problem being photographed. The vampires vamp it up for the magazine, combining old Hollywood glamour with blood-red bridesmaid dresses (except for Nikki Reed, who’s pretty in purple).
For interviews with the cast and a video of the photo shoot, check out the Vanity Fair website. Best line of the article? Ashley Greene saying “You don’t have to be psychic to know how this movie’s going to do.” Rim shot!
Anyone who’s seen the trailer for The Losers might have a hard time believing Zoe Saldana fought for “believability” on set, but that’s one of the reasons she claims she refused to do a nude fight scene for the action-packed comic book adaptation (co-starring Watchmen‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan and future Captain AmericaChris Evans). “I literally told the director, ‘If I am going to do this scene, there is no way I’m going to be nude because it just isn’t necessary or even believable,’” she told Parade. “So there was a negotiation and I ended up in my bra and panties. I don’t mind using my physical assets as a weapon, but there’s a limit.” Saldana’s concealed weapons were on hand for the film’s LA premiere last night—see photos of the Avatar star and more in the gallery below.
If you weren’t able to snag Walmart’s Ultimate Fan Edition DVD of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, here’s the sought-after seven minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from Eclipse. It features Robert Pattinson running on a giant treadmill, the brood of newborn vampires training for fight scenes, Bryce Dallas Howard shooting some uber-acrobatic leaps in front of a green screen, and Taylor Lautner skillfully catching grapes in his mouth. The cast also discusses director David Slade‘s darker spin on the third film of the series, as some intense action sequences are previewed.
The final 90 seconds of the preview is an emotional scene of Eclipse, wherein Edward explains to Bella why he’s so hesitant to transform her to a vampire. We’re thirsty for more! Is it June 30th yet?!
Yesterday we presented a 10-second teaser of the much-anticipated Eclipse trailer. Here we have 82 more seconds of icy Edward proclaiming his love to Bella, shirtless Jacob doing the same, and Bella torn between two heartthrobs. We can hardly sympathize with Bella’s situation, however, we can all agree it’d be a pain in the neck to have vengeful Victoria out for your blood. Watch the trailer, drool, cry, quiver, repeat.
While Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner may now be international heartthrobs, they each had to start somewhere… whether that be in class with Harry Potter, panicking opposite Jodi Foster, or appearing in 3D as Sharkboy. The cast members who’ve blown-up since Twilight have not only gained hordes of spastic teenage fans, but have also received seriously glam-tastic makeovers. Before hitting it big time as Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart had already made a name for herself amongst movie critics. She nabbed four Young Artist Award nominations for her roles in Panic Room opposite Jodie Foster (2002), Cold Creek Manor (2003), Undertow (2004), and Into The Wild (2007). Though she’s now grown into a sizzlin’ young woman with millions of drooling fans, Stewart continues to take her work seriously, avoiding the party scene and keeping her love life (she’s rumored to be dating co-star Robert Pattinson) on the down low.

Cast members of the uber-popular Twilight movie series have begun arriving in Vancouver to start rehearsals for the third flick of the franchise, Eclipse. Fan favorites including Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Nikki Reed (who has moved on from Rob Pattinson to Paris Hilton dumpee, Paris Latsis) were joined at the airport by cast newbies Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas Howard. For a group of hot twenty-somethings with millions of obsessed fans at their fingertips, the crew appeared sullen and low-key as they sulked around the baggage claim. Ashley even made a poor attempt to hide behind her iPhone. Could they be overwhelmed by the recent re-casting drama plaguing the flick?
Noticeably absent from the group were the movie’s mega-stars, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. Tay-Tay’s been busy shooting the rom-com Valentine’s Day, while one RPattz-obsessed Twitter claims the British actor will finish shooting Remember Me in NYC on Friday and then supposedly head to L.A. before landing in “The Couve” sometime next week. Think he and KStew are heading off on a romantic getaway before jetting to Canada for work? [Photo: Splash News Online]
Shooting hasn’t even begun on the third Twilight Saga flick (Eclipse), but drama is already plaguing the film. Just days after the cast got cozy in front of fans at Comic-Con, Summit Entertainment has dropping actress Rachelle LeFevre (pictured, left) and replaced her with Bryce Dallas Howard (right). LeFevre, who portrayed the vampire Victoria in the first two flicks, is a fan favorite, and is known for her friendly demeanor and her breast cancer fund-raising on Twitter. In a statement released last night, she said she was “stunned” and “saddened” by Summit’s decision, adding, ” I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me.”
Summit responded by accusing LeFevre, who had also accepted a part in the movie Barney’s Version, of creating unresolvable scheduling conflicts. “Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least 10 days of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production,” Summit said in a statement. “The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project—which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment—makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in [Eclipse].”
Fans of the uber-popular series are freaking out across the web, and an online petition has been started in support of LeFevre reclaiming the role. But E! Online reports that Summit insiders – who allegedly wanted to drop LeFevre due to her gigantic salary for Eclipse – don’t care what the Twi-hards have to say. When asked if their protest would have any effect on their decision, one Summit source replied, “I don’t think so.” Ouch. Hurts almost as much as a vampire bite. [Photos: GettyImages]
