Excuse us while we fan ourselves for a moment. News broke sometime ago that Alexander Skarsgard was going to be the face of Calvin Klein‘s new men’s fragrance, Encounter. Between this and the fact that Brad Pitt had signed on as the new Chanel no. 5 face, we’ve been quite besides ourselves. Considering the Skarsgard endorsement seemed to be quite recent, we’re very surprised that the campaign is already out. It’s the steamy shot you see above — hence the need to fan ourselves. The shot lends itself to the name of the fragrance and also features the beautiful model, Lara Stone. The photograph isn’t the only promotional ace CK has up his sleeve, either. A TV commercial is also in the works and we can only imagine what that’s going to be like. Of the campaign, Skarsgard has said, “Their idea for their concept was very intriguing to me — it was almost like a short film and very film noir. It felt interesting to me. I wanted to be involved with something where you tell a story — even though it’s a short story.” And he’s right. It’s a genius shot and really does conjure up images of a very sexy encounter. Mission accomplished, Calvin Klein!

They all came in droves to watch the The Hangover Part II! And by “they” we mean every type of celebrity. The supermodels showed up—Selita Ebanks and Alessandra Ambrosio. The fashion designer showed up—Calvin Klein. Even figure skater Johnny Weir turned up! The screening was held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, with an after party at The Top of The Standard.
The cast—Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianaki —held court with director, Todd Phillips. They were probably quite pleased with the mixed bag crowd who showed up, including the likes of Zach Braff, James van der Beek, Ciara, Ivanka Trump and Russell Simmons. For the full 411 on who was there, check out our gallery below.

When Vanity Fair throws a party, everybody comes. So it was no surprise that when they threw a party at the Tribeca Film Festival, celebrities, old and new, and of every profession turned up. Young Hollywood was ably repp’d by Anna Kendrick and Abigail Breslin. Hollywood royalty, on the other hand, included the likes of Robert de Niro, Harvey Keitel, Christopher Walken and director, Ron Howard.
There were designers (Calvin Klein and Diane von Furstenberg), rappers (Pharrell) and supermodels (Helena Christensen) that went as far back as Lauren Hutton, even! From the miscellaneous lot, Jerry Seinfeld, Zach Braff, Martha Stewart, Ed Burns, and Emily Mortimer showed up. Take a look at our gallery to watch the motley crew arriving at the do.

It feels like a long time ago now when Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss were the coolest Calvin Klein models on the planet – probably because it is. And while they’ve both kept their star quality intact – although Mark sadly ditched the ‘Marky Mark’ name – we still like to think that these two super-sexy 90s icons might have fancied each other when posing for those semi-nude black and white shots. Nope, no luck. Instead it seems Mr Funky Bunch thought the supermodel looked like a boy.
“It was OK. I wasn’t into the waif thing. She kind of looked like my nephew. I mean she’s beautiful – she’s a very pretty nephew – but I’m more into curvy women,” he told British magazine Nuts.
Hmmm, from the look of the archive photo above, it definitely seems a lack of chemistry is dominant here. Just look at the way they’re totally ignoring each other! Sexy!
