John Cusack Raises Our Hopes For The Second Coming Of Lloyd Dobler At Peter Gabriel Concert

John Cusack in Say Anything

We’re pretty sure there were a couple of decades in which both John Cusack and Peter Gabriel were a little sick of people imitating that whole boombox-in-the-air scene from Say Anything. But when Gabriel celebrated the 25th anniversary of his album So, Cusack gave in to our collective nostalgia for the 1989 movie, stepping onstage to deliver a boombox to the singer as his band played opening bars of “In Your Eyes.”

It was a cute, brief interlude. But what really gets us about this exchange is what happened afterwards. Cameron Crowe, the writer/director of Say Anything, tweeted about it, and Cusack responded: Read more…

Emma Stone Talks Hair, Ryan Gosling and Spider-Man Death With Cameron Crowe

Emma Stone may be one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood today, but it’s not always her acting performances that get people talking. The 23-year-old’s hair color is apparently quite the discussion topic, and the Oscar winning director Cameron Crowe got to the bottom of it in his in depth profile in the latest Interview Magazine.

“I had to dye it red for Superbad,” says the natural blonde. “They didn’t let me go back to blonde until Spider-Man—the collective ‘they.'” She dyed her hair brown at 15, which is how she looked when cast in the 2007 smash. “Judd [Apatow] asked me to dye it red at the camera test, so I was already cast in the movie…Now I’m back to my roots. But I get a lot of questions about hair color. People are very into talking about hair.”

But hair wasn’t all she talked about with Cameron. There were much more important things on the docket. Like Ryan Gosling, for example! Emma stars along side the heartthrob in Gangster Squad, whom she also worked/slept with in last summer’s Crazy Stupid Love. Apparently the relationship continues off screen (minus the sleeping, obvs). According to Emma, the two felt close from the get-go. “I immediately felt a kinship with him.” She even asks for his help on new film projects. “I’ve asked him to read a couple of scripts. I just really like hearing his viewpoint because I know that it’s never going to be tainted. He’s very much his own person. I really like his brain.”

Director Cameron Crowe Splits With His Musician Wife

This may be something everyone says every year, but it feels like 2010 has really been the year of the divorce. Couples that have been together forever are splitting up left right and center! Matt Lauer and Annette Roque. They had been married 11 years. Shania Twain and Robert “Mutt” Lange, who clocked out at 14 years. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, who weren’t married technically, but hey, 23 years together counts for something!

The latest duo to join these ranks are director Cameron Crowe and his musician wife Nancy Wilson. Not very many details are out yet, and all we know is that Heart-rocker Nancy filed for the split stating ” irreconcilable differences.” Which could mean just about anything.

These two have serious history together, having married in 1986. She’d collaborated musically with him on our favorite Crowe film, Almost Famous, as well as his others movies Jerry Maguire, Elizabethtown and Vanilla Sky (which also had some awesome music). It’s kinda sad that they’re going through their swan song now. [Photo: Getty Images]
