Cher Through The Years: Happy 66th Birthday!

Cher has big plans for 2012, but don’t call it a comeback. The pop goddess has rarely slowed down in her 49-year career. Cher began recording her 26th studio album as of 2011, and plans to release “The Greatest Thing,” a duet with Lady Gaga, as its first single. The Armenian beauty won’t stop there. Cher announced via Twitter in February that she will also tour beginning in September 2012, her first tour in seven years. While she upholds her music and acting career, the mom of two still manages to be there for her kids. Not only was Cher  Chaz Bono’s biggest fan while he was on Dancing With The Stars, but she also recently attended the GLAAD Media Awards with her son. Cher is such a supporter of Chaz and LGBT rights, she’s currently in a feud with Mitt Romney and Donald Trump over the issue.

The singer and actress has so much to be proud of. From her beginning as part of the pop rock duo Sonny & Cher, to becoming a television personality on her own variety show, to her acclaimed roles in films like Mask and Moonstruck, Cher is definitely a triple threat. She’s also had quite the love life — she’s been linked to everyone from Elvis Presley to Richie Sambora. Today Cher turns 66 years old, and we decided to turn back time and take a look at how she’s held onto that flawless physique and radiant beauty (with a little help from her surgeon friends) through the years.

Josh Hutcherson, Chaz Bono, Kat Graham Celebrate Equality In Style At GLAAD Media Awards

The 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards went down on Saturday night at at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in L.A. Lovely ladies like Kat Graham, Ali Larter and Milla Jovovich attended. Larter looked tiny in a ruched red Zac Posen dress while Jovovich was draped in vintage Halston. Kat nailed it in a strapless black gown by Indian designer duo Alpana Neeraj. Grand dames like Betty White made an appearance too. She walked the red carpet with Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves — her co-stars on Hot in Cleveland.

Cher and Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack presented the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to Chaz Bono for making a significant difference in promoting equality. We also love that Josh Hutcherson got the Vanguard Award for the LGBT ally organization he co-founded called Straight But Not Narrow. The award was presented to him by Benicio del Toro, no less. Have a look for yourselves at all the very evident camaraderie between the stars in the gallery below.

Transgendered Chaz Bono Cha-Cha’s Onto Dancing With The Stars Despite Protests

With all the controversy surrounding transgender contestant, Chaz Bono, the proverbial show went on. Dancing With The Stars‘ 13th season premiered last night and debuted with a cha-cha! Shaking and shimmying to Dancing in The Street, the dancing was a bit rough, but top marks for fun and enthusiasm, right? Chaz has put aside all the hating coming in from all sides about him being transgender, which could not have been easy. A lot of people have wanted him ousted from the show.

The judges were somewhat encouraging, with Carrie Ann Inaba exclaiming, “You can dance!” and Len Goodman pointing out his “good footwork and great attitude.” Still, scores were on the low side with the pair getting two 6’s and one 5. Do you agree?
