Come With Us Behind The Scenes On A Very Special Visit To The Set Of Anderson Live

Anderson Cooper Bobby Finger

On Monday, VH1 staff writer Bobby Finger was invited to attend a taping of CNN’s Anderson Live. This is his story.

After walking through backstage hallways filled with scurrying PA’s, 1/3rd of TLC, and large framed photos of Anderson Cooper interacting with celebrities like Dame Judi Dench and Dame Debra Messing, I had the pleasure of attending the January 14th episode of Anderson Live. The audience seemed to consist primarily of tourists and Chris Colfer – though, in many cases, those two categories overlapped. I, on the other hand, was most excited about seeing how guest host T–Boz and Anderson would interact. They didn’t disappoint me.

Ian Somerhalder, Chris Colfer, Jensen Ackles And Co. Heat Up The People’s Choice Awards

Best-Dressed Men At People's Choice Awards

Hello, gentlemen! We could not with a clear conscience ignore the proliferation of extremely handsome men at the People’s Choice Awards because they really brought their A-Game. So many sharply-cut suits! Eddie Redmayne and Giancarlo Esposito already made it to our best-dressed list, but we’re talking about you, Ian Somerhalder, all sexy in your classic black tie combination. J.D Pardo did the same in the best fitted blazer and suit we’re see in a long time. Jensen Ackles actually pulled off a deep maroon suit with a black shirt — but it’s impossible to make that man look anything other than gorgeous. Chris Colfer ditched a jacket completely and opted for skinny trousers and a skinnier tie and worked the whole thing like a pro. We’re also giving out props to Jesse Williams who added a little something’ extra to his suit by adding a pair of purple suede shoes. The impossibly good looking Matt Bomer added a little texture to his deep navy suit with a grey pocket square and a Madras-checked shirt. We’re counting The Wanted as one unit — one very hip, way cool unit. Their stylists need a raise. But we’d like to hand the best-dressed trophy to our number one guy, Robert Downey Jr. That grey suit, that pizazz and those metallic sneakers? Take a bow, sir.

Olivia Munn Gives Taylor Swift Her People's Choice Award

Awards Season 2013 kicked off tonight with the People’s Choice Awards on CBS, and while we didn’t get any nip slips or f-bombs or other kind of flubs, host Kaley Cuoco and a cavalcade of stars kept it moving with some solid banter. From Ellen DeGeneres‘ Mayan prediction to Chris Colfer‘s fanfic shout-out, our favorite gems (other than Sandra Bullock‘s tear-jerking Favorite Humanitarian Award’s speech; we’re not going to try to recapture it) included…

From Friends‘ Spud-nik To PLL’s Vampy Adam Lambert: TV’s Best Halloween Costumes

Our favorite costumes from the Halloween episodes of Friends, Community, Pretty Little Liars and Glee

Halloween means candy corn, haunted houses, and your dad wearing that musty vampire outfit yet again. But it also means Halloween specials on TV! Throughout the years, the small screen has captured the fun of dressing up for the holidays. It’s a time for our favorite characters to get creative and just a tad inappropriate as they sport costumes from the topical, the slutty, or other clever ideas that perfectly reflect their own personalities. Here’s a list of some of our favorite Halloween costumes from TV over the years that may give you some inspiration of what to do…and what not to do.

Best Mystery Costume – The Slutty Pumpkin (How I Met Your Mother): It was that crisp, autumnal night on Halloween when Ted Mosby thought he met the love of his life…in a costume that has become the show’s famed “Slutty Pumpkin.” Though her face was veiled, this mystery woman became the object of Ted’s harvest-filled fantasies. Many years later, we discovered that the woman was none other than Katie Holmes! Even though the costume doesn’t have much originality, we give them props for mocking the “slutty fill-in-the-blank” outfit.

First Look At Sarah Jessica Parker On Glee – Just Another Example Of The Show’s Marketing Genius

Chris Colfer, Sarah Jessica Parker on Glee

We’re starting to be convinced that Ryan Murphy and the rest of the folks behind Glee are mad marketing geniuses. Whether or not the very experimental fourth season actually succeeds when it premieres — with its brand-new format (the show-within-the-show), brand-new time slot (Thursdays at 9) and brand-new settings (NYC!) — remains to be seen. But they’ve certainly managed to build our excitement for the show’s return on September 13. The latest spark to our enthusiastic flame is the above photo, which Murphy tweeted, showing guest-star Sarah Jessica Parker as Vogue.com editor Isabelle Klempt, who will be Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) boss. As if we weren’t already thrilled to see Carrie Bradshaw get another shot at Vogue success (remember her column for the mag? And what happened after her wedding gown shoot?), it’s super cool to know that Ms. Anna Wintour herself is behind SJP’s costumes for the role. Can’t have a fake Vogue editor wearing just anything, can we?

All this is coming on the heels of Lea Michele’s provocative Nylon cover, a fun set visit story from Vulture, Murphy’s other tweets of Darren Criss dressed as Robin and Kate Hudson as Rachel’s dance teacher, and all those photos of Lea and Cory Monteith traipsing around New York. All we need are some actual clips and you can consider us whipped into a frenzy.

Lea Michele’s 10 Leggiest Looks From Her Glee Shoot This Weekend

Lea Michele's leggiest looks of the weekend

Lea Michele went on a filming marathon this weekend as she and some of her fellow Glee costars filmed on location all around New York City. And we mean all around. It seemed exhausting, but on the upside it gave her a chance to bust out some seriously killer skirts! The starlet traveled up and down Manhattan showing off some dance moves and flaunting her fab legs.Just looking at all the wardrobe changes kind of wears us out! She was filmed in Battery Pack mouthing No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” to boyfriend Corey Monteith, strolling 14th Street with Chris Colfer and hanging out with Dean Geyer around Washington Square Park.

Lea stuck to loose sundresses for her personal attire over the weekend, but the preppy fall couture she was forced to don as Rachel Berry have been pretty rough considering the summer heat! The shoot had more costume changes than a Lady Gaga concert, so we collected her 10 leggiest looks from just this weekend alone! OK, so we snuck in one that wasn’t from the shoot, but a pic she tweeted from her new Candies ad campaign. But we bet you’ll get over it. Enjoy the hot legs, cool clothes, and sneak peek from the upcoming 4th season of the hit series!

Glee‘s Darren Criss Is Looking Forward To A Kurt-Blaine “Shake-Up” Next Season

We’ve always thought Kurt and Blaine’s relationship on Glee was the sweetest, most real thing about the show. Then again, we were totally amused when their comfort together introduced the concept of “lesbian bed death” to the kids. When Kate Spencer caught up with Darren Criss at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, it sounded like he agreed on both fronts.

“We’ve kind of established a Ross and Rachel [relationship],” Criss told VH1. “I’m not saying they’re going to break up. I have no idea. But there’s a definite connection there that hopefully will be there till the end of whatever the show may be. But I think we’d like to see some shake-up. We are verging on old married couple territory.”

Fox’s Upfront Presentation Brings Out TV’s Top Players: Britney, Lea, Demi, Mila And Co.

Fox Upfront Presentation 2012

Around the same time that the NBC stars were celebrating their new fall lineup, Fox’s Upfront presentation for advertisers was also happening in NYC. Both channels brought in their bigtime stars, but we feel Fox may just have inched ahead. This was also, in part, because of the news we published yesterday that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were officially named as the newest judges on The X Factor.

But they were, by no means, not the only stars who came to the presentation. Fellow The X Factor judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were also there. A ton of the Glee cast showed up as well. Lea Michele led the way in a lovely, delicate Pucci dress with Casadei shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Naya Rivera wore the one mullet dress we’ve ever liked, a Lublu number that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Jenna Ushkowitz wore a summery Rebecca Minkoff design, completing the trio of ladies from the show. Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss represented the show’s dudes. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was also there in a Carven dress and Miu Miu heels, as was her co-star Hannah Simone. And surprise surprise, a casually dressed Mila Kunis came for the event as well. Take a look at all of them, in the gallery below.

Glee‘s Chris Colfer On Season 4: “We Will All Be Back”

We have been getting our boxes of tissues ready for next week’s season finale of Glee — that show already brings us to tears, imagine what would happen if we had to say goodbye to most of its graduating seniors? — while crossing our fingers that whatever Ryan Murphy and company come up with for season four, it doesn’t become Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Now that bits and pieces of the plan have been revealed at the Fox Upfronts, we’re feeling pretty relieved and excited, actually. (Though there will probably still be crying, of course.) Network chief Kevin Reilly revealed that the show will follow a handful of the seniors to a performing arts school in New York (though we don’t know if this is the famed NYATA or a rival, like Julliard?), and there will be some kind of “show-within-a-show” format. That lines up with what Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) said this morning on Big Morning Buzz Live.

“We will all be back in some capacity, I believe,” he said. That sounds like some castmembers might be coming back only occasionally — which, good, because how ridic if they all went to the same school?

Amber Riley’s tweet last week, saying she “Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years,” sent Gleeks into a panic that Mercedes and her killer voice would not be a part of the returning pack. But she backtracked on Thursday, writing, “My tweet apparently has been misconstrued. I was not confirming I was leaving the show. Just stating that I would miss being in the classroom everyday with the cast and that would be changing. Thanks for the support guys :)
