Nashville won my heart from the very first episode. The blond bimbos, country twang, cheatin’ hearts, and amazing music keeps me coming back every time. Last season ended with a horrible car crash and we didn’t know if Rayna was going to SURVIVE!!!! This week’s premiere was a lot of exposition, but what do you expect from a first episode right??? There was a lot of action, drama and FIRE (literally and figuratively!) So hold onto your cowboy boots because these are the top ten moments from NASHVILLE you’d secede from the Union for!
We have mixed feelings about Sunday night’s Emmys — we’re generally happy about the winners, there were a few funny moments, and yeah, we cried a little too. But from a fashion perspective, our overall reaction was, “Meh.” Except when it came to the bold earrings, necklaces and boulder-size rings on some of the attendees. We imagine the carpet was crowded with bodyguards trailing million-dollar baubles on loan to the stars (we love imagining the heist in which someone pries a ring off Giuliana Rancic’s hand on live TV!). How well did you pay attention to the rocks and sparkles on your favorite celebs on Sunday night? Now’s your chance to test your knowledge, and get a closer look at these new jewelry trends.
First, who wore this tourmaline ring?
It’s tough being a mom in Hollywood. Sure, life is luxurious and cushioned by cash, but the constant obsession with “post-baby bodies” and the scrutiny over parenting is relentless at times. We caught up with the Emmy-nominated Connie Britton, beloved actress with perfect hair and mom to toddler Yoby, who had this to say about her experiences as a mom in the spotlight.
On the one hand, the women nominated for outstanding actress in a drama for the 2013 Emmy Awards play a diverse range of characters: a DC fixer, a country singer, a CIA operative, a motel owner, an advertising copywriter, a nonprofit exec and an English gentlewoman. But they are a lot alike too. These are all strong, smart women we think we’d like to have on our side in a fight. The question is, if we had to choose just one to have our back, who would it be?
